  1. I thought he was starting to get it in Seattle. It's unfortunate because he's a lot of fun to watch when he's on the field. Off of it is another story, just another misguided kid. Goddell will have a field day with him, I can actually see an 8 game suspension.

Im not going after you directly but Im going to use your post as an example of a huge problem. When did we start calling people in their mid twenties kids? Its just another pitiful way society enables the jerkoffs of the world. Yeah poor Marshawn is still a kid and came from a bad area.

Lifes tough, grow up and act like a man.

  2. Vick is a better athlete but not a better QB.

Fitz isnt accurate enough to simply say hes a better QB. His reads are superior but putting the football on the mark is comparable to Vick. In the end they are both decent NFL Passers, that arent elite or horrible. The difference is one of those guys is all world explosive with his feet and changes every game hes in because of it.

  3. Yes it is. The thing that gets me is not being made in a different country... It is the country it was made in. Had it been Canada, Switzerland, Sweden... Heck, even Poland... I wouldn't be mad... But they were made in China. When I see the US olympians I think of feedom... Now, all I will think of is a girl my daughter's age (10) chained to a sewing machine. The olympians should be held to a higher PR standard.

Maybe the chain is American steel?

  4. Chris Berman is a true professional and has a genuine likeability to him. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I get enough "expert analysis" as is. No one has anything interesting to say anyway. Its time for some self evaluation, if Berman has ruined your meaningless Monday night HR contest.

  5. 2. Tell her to work on a list of song ideas. Take 20 minutes and listen to the songs with her and just like the one she likes. Lets be honest, do you care? Make sure that you listen to the songs and have some kind of conversation with her about it. You do have to pretend to care.

    3. Argue and disagree, its healthy. Do not disrespect eachother though

  6. I'd have to disagree on Slayer, Maiden and Pantera (and Metallica from a previous post). Having seen each band more than a dozen times I can tell you a signature song would be something you've seen them play every time you see them, so my choices would be:

-Slayer - Angel of Death or Raining Blood

    -Maiden - The Trooper

-Pantera - Walk (Cemetery Gates is popular, but really a much different song than most of their other stuff)

    -Metallica - Fade to Black

The Slayer song is Reign in Blood and I agree its their signature song.

  7. oh so you dismiss what he is saying with a wave of the hand......

'typical racist....'--maybe he was just calling it like he saw it

I was being sarcastic. Im just trying to stay ahead of the race mob. Everyone around that witnessed APs behavior needs to be called out for their racism as well.

  8. AP had too much to drink and acted like an ass. The employees said he was drunk and had showed aggressiveness towards a bartender before the police showed up. The police arrested AP and gave him a slap onm the wrist. The reports also have said that AP was apologizing for his behavior and saying that he doesnt drink often.

Sounds like a young adult that had a lapse in judgement. Much like his lapse of judgement last year when he compared NFL players and slaves. Both non-stories and things AP would most likely like to have back. I still think hes a good kid.

The clowns who have used this as a platform to hate on police, cry racism, and spin the story........shame on you. As always, you are a big part of the problem.

  9. http://www.twincities.com/vikings/ci_21027459/adrian-peterson-arrested-houston

Club manager Daniel Maher, speaking to TMZ.com, described Peterson as "very drunk" and said Peterson tried to intimidate the bartender into serving one more drink at closing time before an officer intervened. Peterson "looked really scary and I thought he was gonna attack the cops," said Maher, who added that Peterson, once restrained, apologized for his behavior and told cops he usually doesn't drink.

Typical racist club manager. Where I come from bartenders usually hate blacks, especially rich and famous ones.

  10. We may be the only two.

I thought about #1 after I posted and think that makes quite a difference, too.

Then again Dean, i just heard mention of Mayweather's video on ESPN. It might be picking up steam slowly.

Truthfully, the remarks are over the top but likely to make Floyd money. This thing looks to be exactly what you speculated and makes boxing look more and more like the WWF everyday.

This is just another example of why boxing is dying. It's a shame because it's a sport that should flourish without much effort. Watching two great fighters go back and forth in a championship bout used to be a unique experience. To me it was the most compelling sporting event you could enjoy. Really good fights can be had still but they are far and few between. The mixed martial art stuff is alright but it doesn't hold a candle to a great boxing match.

  11. Certainly Mayweather is among today's most famous boxer. with that said, I doubt 10% of sports fans would be able to identify his picture.

The attack was certainly racist, homophobic and anti-little people. I haven't hear much from any of the groups he attacked so far. Maybe they will respond down the road. I just think that boxing smack is so completely fake/calculated most don't really pay any attention to it, or give it much credence.

I can agree with this. I do think Mayweather and Pacman are recognizable to far more than 10% of sports fans though. Their HBO specials alone have generated a great deal of notoriety.

IMO, its a combination of quite a few different things.

    1. Boxing doesn't have a commish or governing entity. Therefore a league or association cannot lose money or become shamed. Which actually makes for less of a story, given the lack of punishment or suspension.

    2. Boxers routinely say stupid things, like you pointed out. Very few listen I suppose.

    3. Hateful remarks are less of a story, if it isn't against whites and blacks. This is where the inconsistency lies. For whatever reason all the folks who get their panties in a bunch over idiotic remarks, seem to fall silent when it comes to certain groups. If Floyd goes on camera and starts throwing out cracker this and whitey that, rest assure its all over the news.

It's not exactly a thrilling topic but i find it interesting.
