What’s your point? You do realize these incidents are not even remotely the same… right?
When you cut the red tape, Things happen a lot faster. The contractor called a place in in in Arizona to start constructing the beams . They had a police escort from AZ and CA state troopers all the way to the site. They had welders standing by to start immediately 24/7.As soon as the welds were inspected the concrete was poured. As soon as itched, they inspected it. The contractor bid under a million with big bonuses for every day they beat the deadline. It came in for under half what it would have cost if it was dime the normal slow way.
The same contractor built the S-curve approach on the Treasure Island approach for the new Bay Bridgege in SF Bay. A several hundred foot section had to repalce temporarily where the road went from double decks to side by side. They built the section on 150-200 ft high stilts, close the road on Labor Day weekend, destroy that section and place the new section in . It was scheduled from Friday at 7- Tuesday morning. They moved the new piece over and in place. It opened up Labor Day morning a day ahead of schedule. Look both up on the internet.

The McArthur Maze collapse in Oakland was rebuilt and opened in 6 weeks-2 months. The Governator limited bids to 2 days and work started the next day after the bid was approved. They said it would take 6 months-one yer if they did it normally

Time for me to put in a plug for my favorite podcast ever:
A ridiculously ambitious project of one guy, Andrew Hickey. Even if you thought you knew the history or rock music front-to-back you'll learn things.
For example, I never knew about his guy till I heard one of his paid bonus (1 buck a month!) episodes: Jackson C. Frank, from Buffalo, a survivor of the horrific Cheektowaga school fire (something else I never knew about even though it was not that long before my time).
The Cleveland Hill school fire happened 70 yers ago this Easter. 15 kids were killed. Resulted in requiring emergency exits in classrooms and regular fire drills,

wow. that's wildly sad. not that i knew tom well, but he was always a fixture here. my aunt has been living with pancreatic cancer for the last 3 years...which is a miracle.
My godmother had it about 16 years ago. The lousy thing is by time symptoms appear, it is in stage 4. She was receiving an experimental med that cost thousands of $ a dose. Since it was experimental, she didn't have to pay anything. The doc told her it wouldn't cure her, but prolong her life some. She lasted 3 years when the average after diagnosis was 6-12 months.

Vaant lots near the stadium are being cleared. It doesn't happen instantaneously. Southwestern Blvd from OP Road to McKinley was all tree filled vacant lots back in 1973. Now it is totally developed. Why do you suppose the McKinley Mall was placed there?

George Harrison visited Haight-Ashbury once. He was disgusted with all the waste products walking around there. I lived in the Bay area close to 20 years, Hasn't changed, just spread to the whole city.

the technology to do transplants at all is amazing to me. I know a guy who had a heart transplant. His name is Brad Ellis a well respected musician who was the accompanist for the TV show Glee. He is doing great now. It sounds as if you are well on your way to recovery too. Keep it going!
It's a great message . Be a organ donor it saves lives in the unfortunate circumstances you are in that position.
He might have met someone I met through my hobby. But maybe not the way they record nowadays. Her name is Elin Carleson. She sang some of the scat that led in and out of the commercials on Glee. She is a professional opera singer and was in a Malcom in the Middle episode where Dewey wrote an opera. She did the opera part in Mr. Blue Sky for a BMW commercial and most famously is the ah aaaaaa on the remastered ST:TOS DVDs.
