  1. Roundy and others forget the old adage :"Don't put all your eggs in one basket."

The only economics education I have had is a half of senior year in HS, what my parents (neither a HS  grad) instilled in me, and living 68 years, But I do know that the adage above is much better than the garbage  you (Rowdy) are spewing.

Sean Combs (let's stop using his infantile nicknames) acquitted of the big RICO charges, convicted on the little Mann Act felony.

The jury got it right. Overcharged. Clearly guilty of a lot of domestic violence that wasn't prosecuted thanks to playoffs, now convicted under the old morals charge about transporting people (in a weird turnabout, people with penises) for the purposes of prostitution.

Sometimes juries really do work the way they're supposed to.

    So you support a pervert?

  3. Loved the weather outside on Channel 7 when they were located at their original studio on Main Street.  The fire station was next door and if they got a call when the weather was live the siren would drown out whoever was doing the weather.

Tom Jolls used the white grease pencil to write the temps, etc (before video graphics) on the board ad on hot humid nights, it would melt before he was finished. On night he is standing outside with no board and had to announce that the board had blown away in the windstorm the night before.

Once Clip Smith was doing the weather and suddenly  dived out of view.  There was someone driving down Main Street in a gunfight with another driver.

  4. La Salle Park, near the Peace Bridge is now Ralph C Wilson Park. His foundation is contributing most of the $ for the $110 million  rehabilitation of the park. Last year a pedestrian bridge, that was shipped down the Erie Canal  was installed over the 190.  The southern portion off the park is expected to open in Spring 2026 and the northern portion in 2027.

The foundation is the major funder of the Buffalo Hospice  located in Cheektowaga (located behind what was the old  Como Mall) , which I am grateful for the care at home they gave my mom and  support to me when I was taking care of her at the end.

Paint and punch-list consisting of installing or replacing non working fixtures, such as lighting and appliances are typically the last things done on a large construction project. My guess is that some of the high tech systems may have programming kinks to work out also. If memory is correct (which is not all the time these days) I seem to recall the scoreboard having issues on opening night at Rich Stadium.

The tech center building which  will run the scoreboard, lighting, snow melting,  turn sensors, wi-fi,  and anything else I forgot was the first thing started. It is located between the stadium and Hammer;s Lot. They had to install the underground conduits before anything was started, The building itself was finished probably around  Christmas. They have been installing the wiring and computers.

  6. I comment on this every time it comes up  on here.

Was at that game. Next day, my mom was visiting my dad on the oncology floor at Mercy Hospital.  He had an inoperable lung tumor. I visited after 5 PM to see dad and pick her up.  Was describing the game to dad and we were having a good time. At about 6 PM he says that he hadn't really slept for 2 days and he wanted to go to sleep. Just as we're ready to say bye, he starts coughing up blood. We rush to get the nurse and within a minute or two, he was dead.  The tumor had weakened one of the major vessels and he basically drowned in his own blood. Those two things are forever linked in my mind.

Yes, I went through PSL fees with MetLife Stadium. It's paid off now but going from Giants Stadium prices to MetLife prices wasn't fun when I had the PSL fee to pay off. Here is the funny part. Most Jets/Giants fans miss Giants Stadium. MetLife isn't looked upon favorably with both fan bases.

    Well, it's in Jersey.

Oh weird, I thought it was “COMPLETELY OBLITERATED!” What happened to all that chest-thumping confidence?

Hey idiot,  the facility was completely obliterated and the uranium was spread all over the place. Do you think they were putting it on the front seat of their personal cars? If they have photos of the bombs hitting  it, they had eyes on it all the time  and would have bombed the s*** out of this convoys. How naive are you?

If you wanna call that “work”…serving soft custard 510 feet from an elementary school is a cushy job.

I thought you had to stay 1000 ft away! 😄

  10. Anything in the mountain they bombed  with the MOAB/ biker buster is either hamburger (tissue), shrapnel (metal) or buried under tons of rock. The compression wave in the constricted tunnels  is magnified (simple physics).

Remember, they tested oe of these at Pensacola (I think) and had to warn people it was not an earthquake of a nuke.
