I think the Browns know that Pettine is not pulling his name out. Sounds like he wants the job badly. If I'm Marrone, I'd be on the phone with Pepper Johnson right now.

Mike Pettine came to Buffalo to get out from under Rex Ryan and be considered a HC candidate. That was his plan and it's all working out for him. We need to move on. Even if he stays, which I hope (some how) he does. We'll be in the same boat this time next year. MP isn't the long term answer. Hopefully the Bills Brass is taking a very proactive approach here and lining up possible candidates to replace MP. They can't miss on this hire.

WRs and CBs talking trash isn't anything new in the NFL. Personally I don't like, but until someone lights Sherman up he'll keep chirping.

Interesting development here. IMO Pettine is gone. Not being negative, but it looks like he's the only guy that wants the job at this point. Right place, right time, and good for him. For those posters saying that this wouldn't be a "step up" for MP going from B-lo's DC gig to the Brown's HC I don't agree. If you're a coach in the NFL and you're offered a HC gig you take it and make the most of it. When MP leaves I hope the Bills FO reaches out to Pepper Johnson for the open DC position. This is a guy that has played for and coached under Belichick for 20 years. Love to have that kind of insight on our side. They should call him right now.
