1. New England would be 6-10 and Buffalo would be 12-4. Think about those records.
2. He might have been a hell of a defensive back (I'm old enough to remember), he might be an IVY leaguer, but he might also be mentally retarded... which today might get you into an IVY league school.
3. YOU THINK the concussion had nothing to do with the regression...especially after how he looked in the first five games. If you know anything about concussions, sometimes the effects will not bother you almost immediately--hence the San Diego game. His decision-making and confidence was definitley affected. If you are a Met fan and followed Ryan Church's situation you would understand what Trent went through and see a lot of similarities. Concussions have long-term effects. The fact that you think a second year QB can't improve is ludicrous and shows your MAN-LOVE for JP. Does Trent have issues--yes? I wonder about his injuries, toughness in cold weather and leadership abilities. But his play has nothing to do with JP's. The fact is you want Trent to fail. So, get over yourself and root for your QB.
4. If Ralph doesn't fire Dick then it truly is a testimony to the fact he doesn't care about winning. The Jets firing Mangini does not make Ralph look good if he keeps Jauron because it shows how much the Jets care and RW doesn't except for the money. Dick is so bad that hiring Mangini here would be an improvement. By the way, I thought the J-E-T-S Jets were going to the Superbowl. Brett Favre is horrible.
5. Sorry, I went a little heavy on you. Yes, I am pro-Trent because he is the current QB of my Buffalo Bills who has demonstrated enough to hang onto the title. Unlike the other guy, Trent doesn't melt as soon the ball is hiked. I was at the Jets game last week. As soon as the the ball is hiked to JP, he goes into crisis mode looking to run away "out of the pocket." The only time he looked good was on their six play TD where he took three step drops and fired the ball--no time to think, I guess. We can win with Trent if you build around him--you can't with JP and now that he is gone, maybe these bs debates will go away. But, I don't think they will until Trent is run out of town. Why? Because the Garbage boy fans will find something wrong with Trent until he is gone. Otherwise, they will have been proven wrong.
6. Here, I'll find it for you: "Some JP apologists WANT Trent to fail even at the cost of the Bills losing. If Trent succeeds it becomes more personal to them." Amazing how bias can alter reality. I guess those 103 lifetime sacks and 32 fumbles were my imagination.
7. Notice the big word, "IF" Even in your attempt to be subjective, your "garbage man bias" slipped through.
8. Crowell is a playmaker--something this team needs. He can a do a little of everything--play the run, pass coverage, blitz and make a play here and there. We are a better defense with him. I would sign him.
9. Here are the facts: Some JP apologists WANT Trent to fail even at the cost of the Bills losing. If Trent succeeds it becomes more personal to them. It just cements the fact that us so-called "Trent-lickers" know more about the game than they do and that is where all their angst stems from. Trent succeeding is basically a validation of their lack of football knowledge and instincts.
