  1. This just goes to show that some people need to be in the right situation to finally realize that they needed to grow up mentally and that the Buffalo Bills is the absolute best place to do that. It may not have worked out, but at least the light bulb went on and he can now go on and do great things in his life outside of playing in the NFL. The examples of quality leadership and genuine concern and friendship can carry a person far. OUTSTANDING post.

It seems the entire NFL gives the Bills crap for not being able to get past the Chiefs, but they still tout Jackson and the Ravens as superbowl contenders every year when they have done far, far less than the Bills in the post season.

EXACTLY!!! They need to have their head examined if they are going with the Ravens AGAIN... how many years are they willing to lose $$$ betting on the Ravens?

  3. The Ravens have yet to beat the Bills and the Chiefs in the playoffs... oddsmakers are out of their mind to put the Ravens in that spot.

Meh, that can't be true... it doesn't include RJ and Flutie... anything after those are lightweights.

There’s something ironic about a game with a weed username fearmongering over gambling and integrity.

Fearmongering? That's a hoot. This same atmosphere almost brought down professional sports 100 years ago but thankfully strong leadership at the commissioner level and ownership dealt with it heavy handedly and for many years we were stable until the Hornung and Karras scandals. There is a reason why sports gambling was outlawed, and eventually we will see it be outlawed again.

  5. Anyone who remembers the Colts in the AFC East with Peyton knows how bad of a time that was. Nobody in the Mafia wants him in the AFC, that's for sure. I don't care if the talking heads consider him a lesser prospect than his uncles- he is still a Manning.

I've been here a VERY long time. My first connections were with a dial-up 9600 baud modem in Summer of 1996. My previous user names were lost when SDS upgraded the forum software.

There were (are) some real characters back in the early days. I remember some trolls named Combo, Ice, and maybe a HogBoy. They have thankfully disappeared. Of course, who can forget the infamous Belinda.

TBone and NJSue provided us some hilarious donnybrooks in posts back in those days. I don't miss the endless RJ/Flutie debates. It make me feel reeeeal old!

Those were the days....

  8. Landon M.F.ing "NoHo Hank" JACKSON is my choice... with Bosa always injured, he will shine brightly. As I have said, the Pats's first round pick was ABUSED by Landon head to head. We have needed someone to improve our meh pash rush and let's turn him loose!!!

If, and only If, Terry stipulates that the new owner has to keep the team in Buffalo will have to take a lot less for it.

I am under no false belief that he would keep them in Buffalo no matter what... from what I have seen, the profit motive has become more prevalent. I used to be a Pirates fan, and you can see how much the league factors in how the fans are treated 😞 Manfred doesn't give AF and neither does Bettman.

Pegs may be the first major sports owner in the US to sell a professional team at a loss. I’m not sure he can give the Sabres away.

If the COYOTES can find a home in Utah and the Kraken established in Seattle, then that is definitely a ridiculous statement to make. The Sabres could be bought up by a Quebec group and moved to Quebec City or even investment from a group to move them to Houston. Remember the North Stars? The Nordiques? The Whalers? Anything is possible.

Yeah, I thought "just about any" was pretty clear but if I guess if I had do the math...

    383 total NFL games

    − 17 Bills regular-season games

    − 10 (of 52) non-Bills prime-time games worth watching

− 10 (of 12) playoff games worth watching (including Super Bowl)

    - 1 Super Bowl

= 346 “just about any” games

You guys really watching a Seahawks vs Cardinals regular season game?

I would rather go to Der Klassiker than the Super Bowl if the Bills weren't in it. Most who haven't experienced European soccer live really have no idea.

Dude, if you watch Cam Newton talk for 15 seconds and don't immediately come to the conclusion that he is an awful human being, your ability to read people is irreparably broken. He sucks in every way imaginable.

An ability cannot be broken... it can be lost, but not broken.

let's put you down for 1 jersey!

Have you watched a Super Bowl in the last 32 years?

I enjoy both, and "just about any" would probably exempt a game like the Super Bowl. If you've ever experienced a soccer game overseas it is a wild atmosphere, and very different than -just about any- NFL stadium :P
