This Friend of mine is obsessed with NASCAR. I get almost daily reports on how Jimmy Johnson beat everyone with old tires, how much money he makes, etc. All I ever do is try to change the subject and he will not stop. This has been going on for 15 years and he still has not got the idea that I JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT NASCAR.
If you wanted to put your friend in his place, take a few minutes and google the number of times that Chad Knauss has been suspended and fined by NASCAR. Johnson has only been in the sport since 2002, so I doubt you friend is a true NASCAR fan. He sounds kind of lame to me.

well, you don't read too well do ya boy?
If you did you would see that i did not agree with moving up to get Suh because it would be far too costly for us. what you guys were doing, which is the classic ignorant "we'll just compare him to the last big name DT we can think of", is wrong.
Suh is the real deal, but with buffalo having so many needs, we shouldn't mortgage out future for 1 player. Learn to read, asshat.
It's not that I need to learn to read, I didn't care to read your previous posts - in fact I didn't even know they were there. You responded to me bubba, not the other way around...

I have a co-worker who is into NASCAR. Every couple weeks or so he asks me if I'm going to watch The Race This Weekend
Today I asked him in front of a bunch of other people if he was going to watch The Race This Weekend.
He said Yes
I responded...That makes one of us
I really don't understand the need by some people to rip on NASCAR fans. What's your reasoning funny man?
-
right cause a dorsey (6-2, 315) is the same as Suh (6-4 305), plus dorsey, who has 1 spot, the dt in a 4-3, is exactly the same as suh, who has the body to play the end in a 3-4, or the DT in a 4-3. Awesome analysis guys
Yeah, so sell the farm to move up to #2 overall in yet another rebuilding year? Hoping that a single DT will be the answer to all the franchise's woes?
No thanks buddy.

Glenn Dorsey anyone?
BINGO!

Bobby Labonte has been my guy since I first started following NASCAR in 1998. I was a JGR fan when he was with them and I also like TS.
Hopefully BL's equipment is better this year after changing teams.
Gordon is annoying. I wanna see an engine fail on lap one for him. A good friend of mine who was a Jr. fan died last year and so I'd like to see Jr. do well.
You and I have more in common than I ever would have thought... Bobby finishing 2nd to The Old Man in '98 is my favorite race of all time. Had Bobby had that last lap, his Pontiac would have prevailed. There is no doubt in my mind. Anyone who may doubt this needs to simply youtube the finish of that race.
Gordon is starting from the back, so let's not wish too much ill will on him just yet. It's Daytona and anything can happen.

Whatever, indeed. Pinch loves playing his role. As long as he races hard AND clean, admits when he's wrong and stops whining, he's good to go.
'Pinch' otherwise known as Rowdy and Wild Thing to most... is the best overall talent in NASCAR's top-3 series. You are right that he definitely relishes his role, and so do the fans.
As far as predicting a winner on Sunday, I would say look no further than the first three rows of the starting grid. I think one of those six is your 2010 Daytona 500 Champion. However with the truck race being delayed until tomorrow night, I'm not so sure about Busch's chances on Sunday. The kid is an animal but that's a whole lot of racing/ happy hour practice in a 24 hour period. We'll see what he does.
-
Pinch can be a giant rectal itch from time to time. Great driver but his maturity hasn't quite caught up with his age.
Yeah, well whatever. Keep in mind that Kyle Busch was the odd man out when Hendricks decided to sign JR to drive the 88. The rest is history.

I've been clued in that the next DraftTek mock will have a change at RD1#4 that would drop 2 QB's into Cleveland's lap at RD1#7. The Redskin fans and their correspondent, who had been grabbing Bradford all along, are rethinking their pick, and will look for someone to protect him (Russell Okung). Now the scenario might be:
1 St Louis Ndamukong Suh DT43 Nebraska
2 Detroit Gerald McCoy DT43 Oklahoma
3 TBay Eric Berry FS Tennessee
4 Wash Russell Okung OT Oklahoma State
5 K City Rolando McClain ILB Alabama
6 Seattle Joe Haden CB Florida
7 Cleve Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame
8 Oak ?
9 Buffalo ?
Now you know that Oakland likes the shiny players. Do they take Dez Bryant WR and leave us in the enviable position of choosing between the most NFL-ready quarterback (Bradford) and the draft's best run-blockers (Williams, Bulaga)? Would This Change Your Pick at 9? I need to know what the pulse is.
Astro
Thank you for finally bringing some sanity to the #4 pick. No way do they take a QB.
-
Way early yet - but the tackle from Rutgers has been getting a lot of publicity these days. Would nto surprise in the least bit that he breaks the top 10.
You're dead nuts right. I think Washington is going to take a tackle @4 and that leaves Kansas City, Oakland, and Buffalo in the OT mix.
-
The wildcard in this whole draft is Washington @ #4. There is no doubt in my mind that Shananhan is going to take Okung, and look for McCoy in the 2nd. I want the Bills to draft Bulaga @ #9, but I'm not so sure he's going to be there should there be a run on OTs way, way early.
-
Hang in there bro.
-
Has anyone alerted erynthered about this thread, or should I?
-
Lets face it....this is where we need to go with the 9th pick
That's exactly what I'm thinking. Mike Mayock has Bulaga rated as the #2 OT prospect, and I think that's exactly where the Bills will go with #9.
-
They were lucky. They were 7-7 and got to face Indy and Cincy who had already clinched, rested starters and played uninspired football because they had nothing to gain or lose. The Jets stumbled ass-backwards into the post season at 9-7.
You're a PhD too?
-
SAINTS - All the way.
-
I was so glad to see rex the hutt get his ass handed to him today. The jests were nothing more than lucky this season and will fall back down to earth next season.
Yeah, OK - they got lucky on the road against Cinci, and San Diego. All luck...
I thought you were the resident PhD around here or whatever.
-
You hope. I, OTOH, see a team with an INCREDIBLE defense and a killer ground game that if...IF...they can get their soon-to-be second-year QB on track will hand us some embarrassing losses next year and could win the division.
I'm right there with you. Not sure what the status of Kris Jenkins is, but I see the Jets as the AFC East champs next year.
-
In that article, Brohm reminded me that "He [Wood] was my center for every year I started at U of L so we definitely have some game experience together." If Brohm is in this mix for QB, we may be looking for another OG in this draft/FA and moving Wood to Center. I'm not totally sold on Hangman; maybe some of you can sway me.
Astro
This is exactly why I want them to draft Pouncey in the 2nd.
-
The NFL will be worse off when he retires. He is the last of a dying breed of QB
You nailed it ICE.
-
I am starting to think about moving up to get Okung, If Buddy signs off , lets get the guy that fills are biggest need and move on.
I would rather they trade back into the latter half of the first and draft Charles Brown.
-
Nah I want to see them win the superbowl. If The Vikings do AND we hire Frazier then the National media is all about us making the right decision blah blah blah.
I'm pulling for the NFC teams in this one as well. I usually side with the AFC unless it's Pittsburgh or Oakland, but this year I just can't bring myself to pull for any of the remaining AFC squads.
-
The Bills will move to planet Nibiru
I would hope there are better things to do on Nibiru than watching football. If I'm wrong however, that would be one exciting road trip for Pinto Ron.
