Nice signing. I like it.
We have one of the best overall backfields in the league.
-
if we get Spikes and Wilfork......
naw nevermind lol
-
According to a few lists and columns I read the market for Spikes is not very crowded. Is now the time to try and sweep in and get him at a reasonable price? I think he would better at MLB than Rivers and Kiko. Anyone still interested in Spikes or are people satisfied with Rivers?
Sure am interested on run downs
-
Think about it. If he had stayed in B-Lo we dont have to get Kolb and he would have played.
I would have no problem with him as a backup. But I dont think Fitz would like being a backup to EJ.
-
Dear Mr. Wilfork
Please with brown sugar on it come to Buffalo and show them how its done. Stopping the run that is.
You wont have to play on passing downs and ill even show you where to get the best pizza in town.
That is all

Former Bengal and giant. Former first rounder out of USC. Injury concerns though
Specials teams maybe and depth.
-
They have pick 4- Johnny Football
Im thinking Bridgewater to Browns.
No way Johnny Football gets past first 3 pics.
-
I know he loves to troll. Trying to show him the light though. I personally love the spiller/fjax combo platter.
Our subpar O lineman will be addressed and the RB's should crush it.
We upgrade the line CJ is going to get at least 1,300. Fred can still get 700-800. That's is how we get to the playoffs. Run the ball down peoples grills.
Plus we can finally see what E.J. can do.
I think we go OL first round and stop playing around.

Buffalo native from the Ravens. Solid player from what I have seen.
4 years 16 million
Guessing Nolan Carroll is out of the picture now
This I like.
Local kid too. AND a very good player.

When the Bills have a top 5-10 QB. Everything else is window dressing.
It will be interesting to see how the "team unity" aspect plays out with the Bills and Saints teams this year. The Bills obviously did not want to have an all-pro disgruntled player here. They could have slapped the tag on him and they chose not to. We'll see how that decision plays out. As for the Saints, I have a feeling they are going to have to contend with resentment and discord from some players remaining who feel they are underpaid or that they let too many of their buddies go to pay for Brees and the new comer Byrd. I'm sure Graham is very ticked off that they gave Byrd that huge contract and yet could not do the same for their own who has greatly helped in keeping them contenders.
I dont care about his feelings, the Bills had the right to franchise him, so we let him go for nothing. That has been discussing at length already.
Anyway your right , until we get a legit QB this cycle will continue and we still don't know what we have in E.J.
Well at least they did get a lineman. I hope it helps Freddie and CJ find some running room this year.
But the Saints dont care about Gramhans feeling either. They had the right to franchise him and they did.
Couldn't sign Poz because money was needed for Levitre, couldn't sign Levitre because money was needed for Byrd, couldn't sign Byrd because money is needed for Dareus, won't sign Dareus because money will be needed for Glenn, won't sign Glenn because money is needed for Kiko and that is how you miss the playoffs for 15 years.
its called create a hole , fill it on the cheap.
Hows that working out ??

is this guy an upgrade over Legursky ? somebody help me please ? and please dont tell me they overpayed for another backup
-
This organization takes a step forward two steps back ALL THE TIME. They make you fell good about dropping the T.O. series, then they lose an Pro- Bowl safety.
When will it end???
-
It's not buffalo he had a problem with it's the ineptitude of the organization and the handling of his situation is just another exhibit that they don't know how to or don't want to win
Exactly
He got tired of waiting.
They should have locked him up when he still was a good solider .He played hurt for a whole year. Never did anything bad of the field . Was an Pro - bowl player.
You cant make the playoffs if good players always leave and create another hole to fill.
-
Kolb did nothing for us.
Another bad signing. One year we will get it right.
-
another darn good player leaving and we get nothing in return.
Wish him good luck down in NO tho

It's lazy "journalism." Vick was linked here after he got out of the clink, so let's link him here again. I would never out right quit being a Bills fan but this would be a test. I'd struggle to root for him if he was Aaron Rodgers good. But given the fact he might not be better than Thad Lewis at this point, I'd be super pissed.
Maybe lazy journalism but they thought that EJ struggled last season , that was true.
Was surprised me they thought that Vick could mentor EJ. Say what? That had me like

Fox (former Bills CB) does a radio show show in Cleveland and he and Whitner are friends. Cleveland is Whitner's hometown.
Based on a source close to Donte Whitner, He is likely headed to the #Browns when the signing period begins.
Petine and he's going home to finish his career.
Not a bad signing IMO

two guys on the NFL network see Buffalo as a good landing spot.

I couldn't possibly disagree more. You pay to see games, and for the privilege of having a local team, not for wins. The team owes you nothing more than putting on a game. If you do not like the quality of the product on the field, you have plenty of options to voice your displeasure including stopping financial support if you like. But the Buffalo Bills do not owe it's fans any more than they currently provide.
I disagree Code.
You buy a ticket in hopes of them winning the game. We don't know if they will win or not, we don't know how they will do it , heck ill even throw in how they will lose ,but we as fans buy the tickets in hope that our team wins.
That what being a fan is. Hoping you team wins all the time. Or in our case less than half the time.
True we are lucky to be able to call Buffalo an NFL city. Yes it might be playing their last years at the Ralph. But still fans dont buy tickets just to see an NFL game.

I don't understand everyone! He played decent for a backup In most of the games he played in. If I remember right, a lot of people on this board wanted him to start over EJ!
You guys need to understand, all QBs are not Brady, Manning, Rodgers and so on...
I think Thad is a decent backup.
I think he a good backup.
He put the ball on the ground too much. If the Bills dont upgrade during the draft I could live with Lewis as the backup this year.

Having trouble posting link from my phone. This is per mark gaughan of buffalo news on twitter
All 8 games at the ralph this year
@JeremyWGR: WGR has learned the #Bills will not play in Toronto this year. The series is not totally dead (*yet), more details later
Yeaaaaa this plus the A. Williams extention
This made my day today. Great news.
Maybe things HAVE changed.
But we need some more tho
-
I never knew about the plane crash, he is lucky to be alive.
I still feel for him over the loss of his son.
-
Keep Lawson no doubt. He's is a solid player.
We played basically a 4-3 most of the yr anyway. I would like them to get a MLB and switch Kiko to the outside where he might be even more effective.
-
Guys maybe I am wrong here but maybe the Bills have played this right. I have re- thought this hott mess.
Ok so Byrd is a free agent now. Maybe they promised him last yr they would not tag him this year. Step one, let Byrd test the market. Maybe this is what his greedy ass agent wanted all along.
Step two, offer him a deal which only a few teams would top. If it is true they offered him that much money they set the bar pretty damn high as far as contract talks is concerned.
step 3 let it play out. If some team makes Byrd an offer that he cant refuse well then so be it. The Bills would be stupid to match it.
Now if he takes an offer smaller than Buffalo's well he did really want out.
Or maybe the fact that the Bills lost Petine which really affected his decision to leave. Maybe if the Brown's had not stepped in and stole our DC, the best we had in quite a while, also factored into Byrd's desire to bolt town, which is a valid one.
Spikes confirmed visiting OBD. Confirmed Signed
