Before today, I’m not sure how many times I’ve heard the term “Arm Arrogance”. I’m confused by how quickly it’s spread, and why we (as fans of the most arrogantly armed QB in the NFL), see this as a bad thing. Chiefs fans don’t see it that way with Mahomes. They love it, and so should we. And Mahomes makes a lot of mistakes with the ball. Let’s not kid ourselves into thinking we have a “bad QB”. Josh Allen is the best QB that any of us have ever watched play for our team. I’ve been telling my son (9) how lucky he is to be a fan of the Bills right now. And it’s because of Josh Allen. When these “bad traits” lose a playoff or Super Bowl, maybe we have a different conversation. Until then, I’m not entertaining it at all.

This Defense is awesome. The score is not at all a reflection of how the defense played. Quite the opposite in fact. They silenced that offense. And after watching last night, I think they do the same thing to the Bengals.

After listening to Coach McDermott’s post game, his answer on Elam got me thinking. I’ve been screaming for Elam. Dane Jackson has done an admirable job, but Elam is athletically superior. He was all over Hill yesterday, not bad for a rookie. I get the impression that Coach uses the rookie phase in process as a way testing them. It sounds like Elam has answered the challenge the right way, and I hope that it results in a start for him against the Bengals.

Stefon Diggs is a delight. I love his energy. I know the between the elbow injury to Allen, the need to commit to the run game, and the lack of production from anyone else, he seems to have disappeared the second half of the season. But the past two games he has been on fire. I’m hoping this week, we see what a full game of production gets him.

I love this team. I’m a total homer. I’ll defend this current iteration until they kill me.

Im not a fan of a Monday Night Playoff game. Sort of feels like screaming “*****” at 4am.

I would also add that I noticed how quickly everyone wants to point back to Daboll who "controlled" Josh better.  Everyone on this board and media complained how much Josh was running under Daboll.  Daboll goes to Giants and does the exact same thing with Jones and everyone acknowledges greatness and questions Dorsey offense.  Can't have it both ways.

I’m always of the opinion that any W is a good W and this team knows how to win gritty. That’s going to help a lot in the playoffs.

I went back and watched the game, obviously not the All-22

It’s no surprise to say as Josh goes, so goes the team. I’ve been a big Dorsey critic this season, but my opinion of him has changed these last 4-5 weeks. Dorsey has adjusted to what teams are doing. Yeah I’d like to run a bit more when it’s working, and I’d love to know how many run plays Josh checks out of. But here’s the thing and it’s probably no surprise to anyone - Josh is leaving so much meat on the bone constantly looking for kill shots. This game especially, there were guys open for easy short gains that could turn into big ones and Josh is just refusing to even look that way. That’s why this offense is looking disjointed, Josh is looking for kill shots constantly. If he would just take the short stuff a few times a game it would open up so much more deep. Cook especially is open in the flat almost every time he goes out for easy gains. If Josh even looks his way, it’s way too late in the down. Shakir is getting open at times too, Josh’s doesn’t even look his way. It’s Diggs/Davis/Knox in that order unless it’s a scramble drill.

So we are going as far as Josh can take us which is no big revelation. Idk if it’s going to happen but if he just started taking what the defense is giving instead of always trying to impose his will on the opposing defense I think this offense is a jaggarnaut and unstoppable. We still are consistently putting up Mid 20s-30s a game with a disjointed offense so it’s a bit of a hollow complaint but it’s the playoffs now so I think it’s ok to expect better production when it’s being schemed open.

One other note... Josh does not do a good job (nor has he progressed in 3+yrs) of anticipating throw windows.  His arm is strong enough that he can be late on a throw and get it to a spot but how many times have you seen Josh release a in route throw prior to receiver making a cut?   Deep balls, yes, slants , sometimes, Ins/Outs very view.

I agree.  And honestly, it's kind of amazing that the NFL doesn't have a plan in place for how to deal with a game that can't be played.  This contingency is pretty darn predictable.

On a side note though, this is why I favor the idea of using a coin flip to determine the "outcome" of CIN-BUF.  It takes human decision-making out of the equation (aside from the meta-decision of flipping a coin to decide) and leaves the other 30 teams completely unaffected.  From their vantage point, having this game decided by a coin flip is indistinguishable from having it played out on the field as usual.  The only teams affected are us and the Bengals, and I think we'd both agree to settle it this way if the alternative is trying to shoehorn the game into the calendar somehow.

HS football uses this all the time (Go Dillion Panthers!)

Thats a bit how I see it.   Separate the 2.   The game was a no contest, it goes in the books as such.  No need to replay it in any fashion.  End of discussion.

But then you do have to figure out the playoff seedlings.  Win percentage is one way and perfectly acceptable.  But you do have to het KC and Baltimore (i think that is all) to agree to that.  Or in my mind you do.  A coin flip also does the same but it just involves the Bengals and Bills to determine the “winner” for seeding purposes.

You agree by doing this and giving KC 14-3 vs Buf 13-3 win percentage.. KC gets home field through Playoffs correct?

The comp percentage I think is also due to the inability to pass defend as one could in the 90’s.

Don't agree I see guys getting mugged today before the ball gets to the receivers, that would never hold up in the 90s.   You would get hit over the middle if you caught the ball but if  a defender breathed on you prior to pass getting to you it was PI.

I haven’t followed along, so this may be out of context, but don’t let the upper bowl scare you. I used to be a “ticket snob” as we grew up with good seats. When I went back I figured the ticket was just one drop in the travel bucket, so go all out - it’s the reason you are there.

A few years back I spent a game in the upper deck and the views were great. I hope they are equally good in the next stadium……downtown under the dome.

Is that an automatic ban for mentioning that at this point?

My nephew has upper bowl seats and loves them...  So no seat shaming here!

Try about double that, with taxes and fees $952. This is for section 214 Row 10. I love my kid but that's a $3000 nut before I buy a beer, need 3 seats.

Looked at the same and couldn't believe the price... Year ago much cheaper but this is a big game.   Will have to rough it in the lower bowl...

Really hard to say.  One game we waited an hour just to get out of the parking lot.  It was a night game, though.  Then, one game I got super lucky and don't think I ever came to a complete stop on my way out.  That was a 1 PM game.

Best to play it by ear and be prepared to leave early to avoid the crush of cars leaving.

Also, getting to the game very early usually results in getting a parking spot closer to the exits.  Late comers get the spots in the way back in my experience.

    Good luck!

Thanks Planning on the early arrival.... Much appreciated

As mentioned, Club seats , but has to be row 7 and back to really feel any of the effects of the heaters. But as a bonus, the club itself is warm so can always go in there and warm up, which is not an option anywhere else in stadium.

Look on a map and try to find a lot on Southwestern near California. @mrags can tell you more about this. 6 is cutting it really damn close. You prolly want to leave before end of game in a close game.

Much appreciated @mrags any advice/input to add here.   Agreed on we may need to leave early.. thanks !

  9. If I can add this thread... .My family and I will be traveling from TX to the Jet's game... . .Long time diehard Bills fan and would information on which LOT park in for easy access to stadium but most importantly to get out quick after game and head to airport.   Looking on Maps it appears Lot 5/ Lot 6 would be easiest to exit and get on Abbot to head to airport.. .Was wondering if Lot 4 has access to Abbot as well to go north towards airport and 219..  Any suggestions anyone can share is appreciated.. I have a flight at 6pm on Sunday that I need to catch...

This angle makes it even more impressive- looking left the whole first part of the play then just launches it down the middle to where Stef will be.  Crazy

Agree... Watching on TV I wondered why he didn't go to Gabe as it looked like he could have taken it to the EZ.  This angle shows the safety coming over top preventing any deep downfield throw for Davis..   Couldn't see that on the TV angle.

Yeah you have to be able to run against that box if you are playing downhill.    This RPO style with the RB parallel with the QB and OL not being allowed to get upfield is not ideal for taking advantage of a light box.   Call a run or pass........get in the "I" and execute.........let the OL either block for the run or the pass.........not in-between.

Looking at this play how does Dawkins not put a hat on the LB right in front of him?

  12. Watched the game right after... Really Josh didn't play that bad nor did he play that great.  Key areas outside of Josh ..

    1. 4 - 19th JJ doesn't make that catch if Lewis hand does not pin ball against JJ arm.. "Knock it down"

    2. Don't think Singletary fumbled that ball, looked like ground caused it.. ..(Davis reception is a makeup call)

    3. Benford missed open field tackle ..nuff said

    4.  4th - 2 no field goal attempt

    5. Harrison Philips Owned the LOS on many plays including the fumble..

I hate to belabor this one - but it was genuinely concerning.

We can set aside the decision to go for it for now, which I disagreed with.  But it wasn't THAT crazy, given the talent on our offense.

The sequence there from 2nd down on was as unimaginative as anything I've seen.  It was almost like we'd call it in a pick-up game.  Everybody go out, and try to get open!  Am I missing anything there?  Was there anything set up on any of those 3 downs that was more than Allen dropping back and surveying the field?

Great teams always seem to have some play in their back pocket - a "gotta have" play, when you have short yardage & a chance to put the game away.  Do we not have that?

What about the 3rd and 1 after a turnover and we take a 10 yrd sack?  Big miss there as well.  How about a run?

A lot of talk about the passing game and Allen/Dorsey.

We have no move the chain passing game.   How many teams do you see out there, with functioning offenses, that don’t have a slot or tight end to move the chains?

Dorsey is calling games like Madden.  Deep shots or check downs to RB’s.

Why?  Is Dorsey a 15 year old with an XBox?  Did Allen forget how to throw short/intermediate?

(Hopefully) No and No.  I know this because Allen will throw chain movers to Diggs.

The loss of a Cole Beasley type safety blanket looms large, it seems.

Davis is a deep threat who has not shown a development into WR2 route tree capability.

Knox has been blocking, a lot, and also has been going through the loss of his brother.

Shakir is a rookie and they don’t trust him yet.

McKenzie is not a full time slot WR.  Experiment failed. Halfway through the season.  Big enough sample size, and I’m of the impression Allen doesn’t trust him on hot/tight routes.

Allen didn’t forget how to throw chain movers.  I don’t think Dorsey is an idiotic Madden play caller.

    We. Don’t. Have. The. Dudes.

We weren’t coughing up picks for Claypool or Cooks, so we traded a pick for a RB that Beane talked about as a slot WR in his presser.

Teams have keyed on Diggs and Davis. Bracket Diggs and put your CB1 on Davis.   They know we don’t have a running game that we’ll stick with, and nobody is currently worried about McKenzie, Knox, Shakir or a RB.

We have a Jimmy’s and Joe’s problem right now more than an X’s and O’s one.

"The loss of a Cole Beasley type safety blanket looms large, it seems."   Thought this all last week and this game as well,

I didn't want to be the first to say it so thank you!

QBs are the main stars of the game. Who wants to pay tickets and watch TV to see a team without its Josh, Brady, Mahomes, Rodgers, etc.?

With our JA17, I'm all for protecting QBs myself. They still get hit brutally from time to time. Ask Tua.

Sounds like WWE to me...   One set of rules for the stars another for everyone else.   If the NFL is strictly entertainment then say so and script the results.  There are multi-millions of dollars being wagered on NFL games and injuries are part of the odds calculation.

Great sequence here.  A little bit of everything... pass underneath, made tackle. Huge run stuff blowing up the RB for a loss. Jackson runs tackled short. Jackson scrambles and throws intercepted.

Defense literally covered everything in those 4 downs.

Check out Bryant (93) on the 2nd down run.. slips block and pushes back second blocker / tackles him freeing up Milano!   Just awesome!
