  1. Do I have to refer to Losman as a disaster to stay on topic or can talk about the Bills making a disaster of his early years qualify for "on topic".

Being that he is on his way out anyways I don't think there is much harm in you using any pejoratives that you want, but I'm not a mod so I really cannot speak for the forum.

  2. Looks more like he's trying to smoke out all the JP fanboys so he can "set them straight" about JP and update his little hit list of posters with man-crushes on JP. So far I think that includes The Dean, beerball and Flbillsfan#1.

I don't even know BillsFan#1, I know the other two are losman devotees.

But that really is not my purpose.

  3. This is what I mean about general football knowledge. Anyone that knows about football will tell you multiple coaches are a detriment to a young player, especially a QB, & one that requires more than average development at that. JP would have faired much better going to a team like Seattle where Holmgren would have tutored him properly.

Well for the purposes of the thread lets just assume that losman himself is a bust.

Lets not argue it from that angle.

That's just a reach at this point.

  4. Hard to say. In his only fulll season he has been the best Bills QB in a while. Trent's season looks like it'll come up short compared to JP 2006. Worse numbers and particularly weak in touchdown passes with too many turnovers for a guy who's strength is to move the chains and keep the offense on the field. Take all the emotion and subjectivity out of it, the offense is a bit more productive and more explosive under JP. Trent's preference to keep it short means defenses play closer to the line and reduce the run game as well.

    This isn't about trent.

He's still going to be here.

This is about reviewing the history of Losman as the book is closing on his stay here.

  5. The error in my opinion was not drafting Losman. It was the coaches Losman has had. JP has a similar skill set to Flutie & had he been utilized in the same manner I believe he would have been successful in Buffalo.

We know that is probably not true because he failed under multiple coaches.

    Losman is the common denominator

  6. Last time I looked it takes two to sign a contract. Do you honestly think JP would ever sig nan extension with the Bill's. I think JP has been very good about being a "good team player" not complaining, etc. But I don't think under any circumstances he'd ever re-sign with Buffalo. The only way I'd see it happen is if no other teams made him an offer and the Bill's made a decnet offer for him as a number two. However, if he played the rest of the seaso nwell enough to lead the team to the playoffs, then he likely would get other offers from teams, so he's gone then. The only chance he'd likely have of not getting any offers is if he doesn't play anymore and the last impression he gave teams was from the Ar. game.

That's one reason why I argue it would make no sense to play JP as in no way would it benefit the Bills' beyond possibly giving them some wins this season, and that's assuming he played better than TE. If he doesn't play better, than TE just lost playing time. If he does play better he signs with someone else. I don't think Tom Brady or Peyton Manning could take this team to the Super Bowl, so if you're going to maybe at best win a wild card and lose in first round, is that much better than to make playoffs and get better drasft picks.

It's a moot point because the Bills certainly won't be offereing him a contract unless he wants to work as a janitor or something.

My prediction is no NFL team will.
