  1. I think what he/she is trying to say is that last year we were sure Hardy was a bust because he couldn't get open and that's why TE wasn't throwing him the ball. Now we got Lee on one side and TO on the other and it seems they can't get open either so they don't get many passes thrown to them. Or, maybe it's the QB and not the WRs?

    We have a winner.

  2. Who cares about Hardy? Outside of one play against Jax last year he showed nothing. No speed, can't run routes, and lousy hands. The only reason he's on the team is the fact that he was a 2nd round pick. If he was a free agent he'd be long gone.

Lousy hands=2 drops last year.........Lousy hands = Watch T.O. Closely this year.

  3. I was at the night practice last week in the VIP area (thanks Sis), and I stayed after the practice was over to watch Hardy run routes with Baker throwing and a few DB's who volunteered to be token obstacles. I also saw him on the field behind the tents working out on his own. He was also nice enough to pose for quick photo with my sister when he was jogging between the fields to start his post practice workout.

All I can say is that this guy has unreal talent. I have never seen a guy with strides that long that were also quick. When he accelerates, he covers so much ground so quickly that I don't think there are many DB's who can stay with him out of his breaks. Once his route running is sharpened and he knows the playbook well enough to play without the hesitation that comes with "...the pale cast of thought...", he is going to be as good as he wants to be. He just needs to stay healthy and he needs to want it and want it bad. For the team's part, they just need to be patient. Remember, it took Moulds a few years to amount to anything.

And another thing, he should not be relegated to jump balls in the back of the endzone. He has the speed to do a lot more than that. A gazelle with an attitude. His speed, flat out, may not be all that much faster than other WR's but his acceleration is something else. Post patterns where he can turn on the jets when he breaks inside and drag routes across the field should be on his dance card for sure.

As most of you know, I am pretty pessimistic about this team so I am not prone to easy compliments. If Hardy stays healthy and out of trouble off the field, the sky is the limit.

The one concern I have for him are his hands. Haven't seen enough of him to make that judgment yet.

Great Post.......He is not just a JUMP BALL guy. He is a natural althlete. Once he learns the routes he will become a factor.

  4. Who the F cares, here is a positive story about someone, and we gotta find a way to rip him.

I agree with the poster who said we have way to much negativity on this board.

If you are going to report the negative, and report is a bad choice of words, it's more like,

if we are going to salivate over the bad, then let's promote the good as well, at least it's

    not another embarrassing incident story.

Dude, I am the biggest Hardy fan there is. I have been following him since the 7th grade on the Baskeball front. I was just stating what happend and how easy it is to get a domestic violence case against you. Trust me I know. People have no clue as to what went on in this situation so they need to stop with the nonsense.

  5. Are you in denial? Here is another reference.

So, there are the facts. Hardy did abuse his girlfriend and 1 year old son. He then got off with a 6 month program and public apology. Not very difficult for a star athlete and potential first round pick to have an incident like this swept under the rug in a college town. If you have evidence to prove otherwise, do so instead of merely saying "know the fact."

Lets say I shove my wife because she is in my face. Considerd Domestic violence

Lets say I grab her arm because she slaps me. Considerd Domestic violence

Lets say I rip my wife shirt as she grabs me. Considered Domestic Violence.

Lets say it was all done in front of my kids. Cosidered Domestic Violence.

Was there an aruguement. Yes. Is it abuse? Doubt. Was his kid really involved. He was there. Again Know the facts because the gal admitted to trying to get at him

  6. James Hardy may do fine in the NFL, but there is no reason to think he will and every reason to think that he will not. Comparing him to Eric Moulds, as dazedandconfused did, he is certainly not as athletic as Moulds. Moulds was strong, fast and agile. He displayed great vision and special teams ability as a rookie. Moulds was also clearly a bright guy.

Hardy is not a tremendous athlete. He does not have great hands. Even in college he was not seen as someone with a high football IQ or a polished receiver. He caught a very low percentage of the balls that were thrown his way. Our coaches all agree that he has struggled in practice. He was easily covered by each defensive back who opposed him last year. He is hard to cover in goal line situations.

Hardy doesnt get it. Even as a rookie you know not to run your routes out of bounds, short of the first down or end zone, where to line up, and have a general sense of where on your route to look back for the ball. Some guys learn that stuff in pop warner football.

Hardy has shown us nothing except for the fact that he is 6'5".

I hope he turns out to be a great player. The problem is that he takes up a roster spot. Would you keep him instead of Stevie Johnson, Roscoe Parrish, Josh Reed, Terrel Owens or Lee Evans? Or another receiver who looks promising?

I would like to know where you base your information from. Did you go to IU? Did you watch Hardy week in and week out? Did you watch him play BB. Please enlighten us on how you KNOW this information.

  7. Did you see him last year? For Hardy the road to "bust" is a lot shorter than "stud"

Yes I did see him. I also saw Reed for 7 years and if it wasnt for Mr. Dump off Edwards Reed would of had a below average AGAIN last year. You can not blame all of this on Hardy.....sure he needs to learn the system quickly but Trent and the coaching staff was less then stellar last year. Outside the St Louis game, Hardy did not have that bad of a season for the number of opportunties he had.

  8. I am willing to write him off. Not because he doesnt know what he is doing, which is obvious, but because he isnt showing me any skills either.

He dropped a lot of balls in college too. He doesnt adjust to the ball. He hasnt gotten stronger. He isnt a major deep threat. He isnt agile enough to run good routes and get open.

Cut him and play stevie johnson as our number three in obvious passing situations.

SKILLs ----Jacksonville Game ring a bell........Who else would catch that ball

Dropped passes = 2....If you hate dropped passes wait untill TO drops 8 this year

Stevie Johnson......Really cant compare the two they ran completely different routes and most of Johnson catches were in the flat against LB.

Bottom line sure go ahead and cut him but in the right system Hardy would become a stud.

  9. Its a what have you done for me lately leauge. Hardy has done nothing in the later part of the year last year, therefor he is a bust in most people minds. Based on what I saw last year as a team, anyone calling hardy a bust should also be begging for a new QB as well. He will be a STUD in this leauge. It might not be in Buffalo, but he will be a STUD.

  10. People hate Colin because he tells you how it is. You might not agree what he says but that is Normal. I find him off the wall a bit but he does know what he is talking about and has been correct in a lot of his statements after the fact.
