  1. Hardy may and well be gone, Who Knows as of yet. He wont be out of the NFL for good. It would be sad if the Bills give up on this kid after ONE year. (cant count last year with all the practices he missed)

They will be stuck with Lee, a 7th rounder, a former bust under Tom Brady, a rookie UDFA, and a former "bust" according to most Bills fans in R Parrish. Good luck with that.

  2. Sounds like Hardy and Brown both made great efforts on the play, but I haven't been able to find a clip of it.

Anyone? Or anyone care to describe?

The game is on the NFL network right now. Hardy bashers already said He got lucky and didnt make an effort. Always turning something good into a bad play or bad effort.

  3. Thank god people are starting to jump off of the Hardy bandwagon. He's been a bust since day one and now he's injury prone. Sure he's tall, but he's also too slow, a terrible route runner and has decent hands at best. Not a good formula for being an NFL wide out. This kid should serve as a reminder why guys like Russ Brandon, Ralph Wilson and Dick Jauron should never be allowed in the same area code as an NFL draft. 41st overall?! Kid has a total of maybe 10 catches? And we thought Maybin was a bust...

See you in the CFL, James.

There was only a Handfull on the Hardy bandwagon. People are on Stevie J and David N jockstrap and will soon be dissapointed as well.

  4. The players that helped themselves last night:

    -Brohm

    -Brown

    -Corner

    -Dominique Harris

    -Moats

    -Ellison

    -Nelson

    -Spencer johnson

    -Chris Ellis

The players who hurt their chances last night:

    -Lynch

    -Lankster

    -Bell

    -Gaddis

    -Watkins

    -Chambers

    -Sean Allen

    -Andre Ramsey

    -Hardy

    -Foschi

How did Hardy hurt his chances. He would of had close to 100 yrds rec if it wasnt for that terrible Holding call.

  5. I am aware thank you poo pile

IF you ask me, The number 2 WR spot is wide open. I dont think Hardy will be gone on Tuesday. Sure he might not make the team but he will have one more preseason game and a FULL week of practice to prove his worth. IF he can stay healthy and have a decent game then he still may have a chance. Jackson and Johnson really put up a goose egg on Saturday. They both made mistakes as well. Injuries have also been a concern at the WR position. I still think they will Keep 6.

  6. i know it is way too early to even speculate about how the season plays out, but after 2 pre-season wins, i am kind of pumped. (of course anything positive will do that). i am just wondering what all the "experts" , all the "talking heads", ESPN, would do if the bills are very good while the jets sh-t the bed, dallas does not do much, favre sucks, all the usual media favorites just do not do it, at least early. it would be exhilerating to watch all of them squirm.

Being a Colt fan as well, (live in Indy) preseason does not mean squat around here. Indy sucks in the pre-season but we all know how they do when it really matters.

  7. So tomrrow is the first cut-down day. Who you got? Any shockers or just the usual guys that weren't going to make it anyhow?

    I'll kick it off...

    Hardy = Goner

You only need to make 1 cut to get it down to the limit. Are you really going to cut Hardy after 1 preseason game. There has to be someone else. How about Rhea

  8. Need to watch the game at least one more time (not to sound like Trent after games), but these were some thoughts I had after watching the game

    Pros-

Trent Edwards- 13 for 17, very accurate, just missed Lee on a bomb. Got the ball out quick, nice screen pass to C.J.

Spiller- Kid is a stud, even with the negative runs, which Im sure hell know not to do, even though he had no blocking. Hes a home-run threat.. gotta take the good with the bad.

Roscoe- Was tough, and good YAC. Didnt get a ton of playing time.

David Nelson- Looks to be a nice diamond in the rough, uses size well and runs decent routes. Should be on the active roster.

Arthur Moats- Great blitzer, and nice pursuit and good tackler.

George Wilson- All over the place and looks like a genuine leader out there.

Stroud and Edwards- Both looked great out there and moved well. Both got doubled a lot.

    Cons-

Drayton Florence- Whats with the holding penalties? And got beat a couple of times.

General pass rush- Im hoping were not showing everything, but we need more pressure on the passer. Need to be more aggresive and more creative.

Run defense- Guys seem like theyre out of position sometimes. Could be without Kyle playing and a rookie in there.

O-line is too much to get into without watching the game again. Saw Green and Bell get beat a couple of times, but overall wasnt bad. Wood is looking good and always playing hard (pause)... Maybin getting some solid pressure, I know it happened at the end of the game, but come on.

    The floor is yours...

    Cons

    Stevie Johnson

    Chad Jackson

  9. He blocks well and runs his routes well (as pointed out above). Why bash him? He is a 7th round pick who is beating out a 2nd round pick from the same year. He has upside and yeah he hasn't been very involved yet.

Give it time. Maybe he does suck, maybe he is good, he has shown stuff in last years and the year before that pre-seasons. This stuff takes time, is he a play-maker. We didn't know Moulds was until his third year........ I really hate repeating all this crap about every player but...

You know some guys come on at later points in the year or their career, this whole team is young, they had bad coaches on offence esply. I have some patience with this project. Not that many players are difference makers, talent takes time to develop. bla bla bla

The new guy caught a comeback pass last night (sorry, I only remember his first name Andre), not a bad thing after what 2 or 3 practices.

I am just saying.......Lets say Hardy was healthy and played the last two preseason as the #2 and came up with the same results as SJ. He would get bashed like crazy. No one is giving Hardy time to recover for injury before they bash him. I dont care what round they are drafted in.

  10. Whatever. He was the key to springing Evans on the TD. Drew the second man, which allowed Evans to get THAT open.

How many catches do you think a #2 WR would have in a season? 50 would be amazing. At 43 snaps per game (2/3rds of the 65 offensive plays on average) that would be about 1 catch per 20 snaps.

    That's about where he is.

You better tell teams like Indy, new england, dallas, Philly, San Diego, New Orleans to get with the program on the #2 WR ball distribution.

  11. Disagree. He's absolutely NOT a lock. At some point you have to move on if you don't think the player will improve significantly. There is a new GM and a new coach neither of whom have any loyalty or responsibility towards Hardy. There's also been several reports about Hardy making the same mistakes over again and not learning well... If true that doesn't bode well for his future.

Don't get me wrong, he's got a good shot to make it because we have a weak, young WR corps. But this is his third year from a previous regime and he is by no means a lock.

Where? Please provide a link. Not a fans point of view. They pick and choose. Give me an actual report that states this.

  12. This was my first and last visit to camp this year. Some random observations from today's practice:

-Trent Edwards is by far our most accurate passer and it looks to me like the competition is over with

-Steve Johnson looks light years ahead of James Hardy

-The passing game is struggling because our line is terrible in pass protection, our QB's have mediocre arms, and our secondary is excellent

-Aaron Maybin is running with the second team, Chris Ellis and Torbor were with the first team

-Torell Troup was fantastic today. So was Kyle Williams. They both made plays in the goal line series, Troup is just bullrushing people (hangartner in particular) and Kyle is making plays in the backfield.

-Carrington is huge, did some nice things in one on one pass rush drill, didn't notice him during team

-Batten and Easley were among the non-participants

-McKelvin continues to struggle catching punts

    -Freddy Jackson looks great

Hardy is having just as good of camp as any other WR is.........Including Johnson.
