  1. OK, I'll say what I want. Give the Bills a now healthier Jake Delhomme and his O-Line, and Lee Evans stats are right up there with Steve Smiths, in my humble opinion. Conversely, put Steve Smith out there with Trent "Warm-Weather" Edwards and/or J.P. Lost-man throwing behind the Bills' biggest, weakest O-line in football, and he would be lucky to have Evans' stats right now. And I say, based on watching the Bills offense the past three weeks, that is proof that HORRIBLE quarterbacks throwing behind HORRIBLE offensive lines find ways to make bad plays.

VJ read my previous post. The numbers dont lie:

i am not saying that at all. what i am trying to see is that he is not the game changer that steve smith is. i dont want to hear about the qb play, the play calling or the putrid offense in general. Here is proof. Mind you that steve smith also had 4 differnet qb's; Jake Delhomms, David Carr, Vinny Testeverde and Matt more, on a 7-9 team last year and one less game

    Steve Smith:

Year Age Tm Pos G GS Rec Yds Y/R TD Lng R/G Y/G Att Yds TD Lng Y/A Y/G A/G YScm RRTD Fmb

    Lee Evans:

  2. Maybe, Evans can get into a scrap with Whitner and break his Jaw; like Smith did to Ken Lucas in Training Camp. Maybe, that would toughen this team up. Who am i Kidding? They would blow it off and probably say "we're still think we're a really good football team" and "you know obviously we would rather be 13-0 then 6-7 but we've played some other really good football teams"

  3. i dunno what you're getting at, unless you're comparing lee evans' slender build to steve smith's squatty, powerful build.

    Really?

    Lee Evans:

    Height: 5-10 Weight: 202 lbs

    Steve Smith:

    Height: 5-9 Weight: 185 lbs.

Seems to me it doesnt have much to do with size but with attitude and wanting to get physical and make yourself open whether you are single or double covered.

  4. Contracts escalate each year......this means that this off-seasons contracts will be higher again......and the following year, etc, etc.

Who's to say that LE wouldn't be league leading on a different team/offense? He is 11th in the NFL in yardage at the moment with our disgusting offense.

I guess you are saying we should have let him walk. <_<

  5. I don't think there has been many(any?) people who have said that Evans is a better WR than Smith.

the point is he is currently the second highest paid receiver in the NFL behind Larry Fitz. He is being paid like a superstar but doesnt change a game the way a superstar does (i.e. steve smith)

  6. on the mnf pre game show ronde barber said that steve smith and randy moss are two of the only receivers that teams have to gameplan for. Going into the 3rd quarter tonight he as 8 grabs for 108 and a td. Teams supposedly gameplan for lee evans and he hasnt had nearly the production of steve smith. They are both the same small, burner type of receiver and i dont feel that lee evans is in steve smiths' class. Say what you want about the quarterback or the play calling of the bills vs the panthers but tonight is proof that GREAT players find ways to make plays.

  7. Of course Lost-man was pissed. It was one of his few good passes. Robert Royal being on the field and running that pattern makes perfect sense this far into the season for Turk-ey's offense. The rookie Derek Fine has caught every pass thrown to him since he came back from his injury and Royal has dropped and fumbled passes all year. So naturally Fine rides the bench while Royal runs the important TE routes. B-)

ahh very clever with the acroynyms for losman and schonert...those have neeeeeever been used before...

    Whats next?

James Hard-ly ever catches a pass...

The defense lacks Few-ell to propel themselved to a win...

    Insert Dick Jauron blast...

    cough schmuck cough

  8. Is the name Ginn allowed to be said around McGee? Will he be giving the 10-15 yard cushion? Time to man-up Terrance ,and stick that little dude. I don`t think I can take another Ginn highlight film on scared to death McGee. :P

i believe he was still hurt the last time they met. i dont think ginn will get off this week as he did the last game, especially now that mecgee is healthy

  9. He would be a huge piece to the puzzle but will command a lot of cash. Tenn know what he brings and is tough to replace.

Not sure about free agents but our 1st rounder should be Everett Brown from FSU. I was trying to find high lights of him to post yesterday but RAMIUS would def agree with me that this kid is a stud DE. He reminds me of Bruce with the power and agility. I like the fact that he can sack the QB from everywhere.

agreed...did you see him take over the maryland game saturday night?

  10. Whoa, settle down...he had a very nice game against a terrible team and quaterback. Maybe, that is exactly what he needed to gain some confidence. I don't know if you saw the San Diego game, where he was torched, but I'm glad to see he is starting to come around. The good thing is Greers' knee injury may keep him out until the Jets game and maybe Leodis will continue to show improvement against the 49ers and Dolphins

  11. eddie royal would not look good here. he is the same the same type of receiver lee evans and roscoe parish are. he is a small burner with the ability to hit the long ball at anytime. if u read that more carefully u would see that it says "perfect fit oppsosite Brandon Marshall", who is 6'4 and 220 lbs. What we need is that Brandon Marshall type of receiver thats a "perfect fit opposite Lee Evans"

  12. Guys, i am just as devastated by the latest meltdown as all of you, but its not the end of the world. Yes, trent has had 4 absolutely god awful games but he's only a second year qb. we have all seen what he can do and we have all seen how bad he is. the truth is this team at 5-1 was an abberation. they were not as good as their record. there are way to many holes on this team and some whole that we though were filled are not (i.e. left guard, #2 receiver, middle and outside linebacker and free safety). The truth of the matter is we were all caught up on the 5-1 start because we havent seen that from a bills team in 10-15 years. Even if they were to reach the playoffs this year, how far would they go? This team is still atleast another year away possibly 2-3. Its not the end of the word people

  13. are you serious?

the bills have not been able to run due to p!ss poor blocking and the line being stacked. well if the other team wants to play up on the line, make them pay for it.

madden has nothing to do with it. it's called finding a way to use your players, or at least get them involved to throw off the opposing d

they have not seen "stacked" fronts. if u've been watching the games closely teams are dropping 8 men into coverage and daring the bills to run the ball because they know they cant. teams dont respect our running game at all. we cant run the ball against a 4 man front let alone a "stacked" fronts on 4 and 1 (two weeks in a row) . the line just doesnt generate enough push to win the battles man and its not going to get any better, no matter what formation we use, until we have a center and right guard
