Am I the only one who doesn't have a problem with Fisher
May Day 10 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i wasnt angry. I just thought it was really dumb to pull off a brilliant trick play in the 1st drive in the 1st of 5 preseason games. But then I heard Fisher explain that he would never use that play and it was just for fun, etc, and I am for it. If nothing else, it gives our ST a jolt to expect the unexpected at any time -
FWIW, when I went to school in Cortland, we got the Empire Sports Network with cable. Also, Ive been in the Timmy Ho's there and the promotion was for the Sabres.

it would be nice if they had that timeout they had to waste because they are incapable of lining up for and executing a field goal on the fly. familiar feeling

i dont understand whats to gain from running a trick play like that i can see rolling out like a 'standard' fake... but that play would be run really well as a total surprise when something is on the line (other than possession in the 1st of 5 preseason games)
