I am thowing my hat in the Billick ring.
thewildrabbit replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My only problem with Billick is that he seemed to have lost the team his last year in Baltimore, plus the fact he never really found and developed a QB to lead his teams. Considering he was the highly touted OC in Minnesota with Culpepper and Randy Moss and that high scoring Vikings offense. It seems kinda odd that the Ravens never even came close to being a dominate offense and he was supposedly an offensive genius. -

Mike Martz is the BEST available Head Coach
thewildrabbit replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude, is Thurmond... Thurman Thomas? is Kelley... Jim Kelly? Not for nothing but in the Kelly years late 80's - early 90's, the Bills ran more often then they passed -

thewildrabbit replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jauron offense was from Mike Martz and its the reason he was fired. Steve Fairchild was the OC for Martz in St Louis, then Fairchild trained Schonert and AVP in his crappy scheme. So I'd think Jauron is now of the opinion that Martz offense stinks. -

Put down the crack pipe and think for a min. The guy was fired in St Louis. The thinking was Kurt Warner was washed up and he wanted Marc Bulger, smart move huh! FIRED in St Louis as head coach FIRED in Detroit as offensive coordinator FIRED in San Francisco as offensive coordinator The guy has been canned in is last three jobs, 2 of which he was merely a coordinator, so how does he qualify for a head coaching job?????????? Talk about a loser, even Jauron thinks Martz stinks -
Bills interviewing Marty's son for HC
thewildrabbit replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They stated they were looking at a coach that had previous head coaching experience, that leaves a bunch at the door. The weakest area of this team is the offense, scheme, O line, play calling. It would be smarter to hire an offensive minded coach WITH head coaching experience, preferably someone who built a winner in the past Brian Billick-Jon Gruden-Mike Shanahan,Marc Trestman (CFL) maybe Steve Mariucci who did have winning teams while with the 49ers. The only other offensive minded coach but didn't get a fair chance to build a winner might be Cam Cameron. I'd think he would love to get a shot a the Dolphins 2x a year for firing him. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/People/Coac...am_Cameron.aspx -
so it begins.. Ron Rivera

Cam Cameron or Charlie Weiss... I don't care as long as its a coach with a history of developing QB's and know how to run an offense. Weiss developed Brady and Cameron developed Brees, good lord this franchise needs a head coach with a brain who understands an offense. -
Parcells wanted "his" guy, no question about it. He knew Tony Sparano from Dallas where he was handpicked by Parcells as the O line coach. Whereas he didn't know Cam Cameron at all and didn't know if he could work with him, communication is everything between GM and head coach.

Ok, why was the guy let go in Chicago? Why does his defense stink compared to the one Wade Phillips built in San Diego? Looking at the stats, it looks like the Chargers defense is not much better then the current Bills defense, how does this qualify this guy to be a head coach? Jauron all over again -
Just think, Lou Saban chose Dante Culpepper over Drew Brees Seriously, have any of you seen what Cam Cameron has done with Joe flacco or that Baltimore offense? I'd think it would be safe to say that Cameron is responsible for developing Drew Brees. Just a clip from the Ravens site: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/People/Coac...am_Cameron.aspx 2006: Led the NFL in scoring with a team-record 492 points ... It was the third straight season the team scored more than 400 points ... Over those three seasons, the Chargers amassed 1,356 points, a figure surpassed only by Indianapolis (1,388 points) ... Also, it was the 10th-highest scoring total since the NFL went to a 16-game schedule in 1978 ... The Chargers were the only team in the league to rush for 2,500 yards and pass for 3,400 yards, and they led the NFL in red zone TDs – 42 TDs in 62 trips (67.7%) ... SD also set a team record by rushing for more than 100 yards in 14 of its 16 games and scored 20 or more points in all but one of those contests ... Rivers posted a 14-2 record in his first season as a starter, tied for the second-best record by a QB in his first 16 starts ... His play-calling helped Tomlinson become the 2006 AP MVP when L.T. led the league in rushing with a teamrecord 1,815 yards and set single-season NFL records for most total TDs (31) and most rushing TDs (28) ... Six members of Cameron's offensive squad were named to the Pro Bowl. You guys are effed in the head if you think one season as head coach can define and characterize someones ability to be a head coach. If that is the case where would Jimmy Johnson be with his first year at Dallas, didn't the Cowboys go 1-15 his first year? Read the Bio I linked and then post I would love to see Cam Cameron get a chance to pay back Miami every year for dumping him!

Tebow looks like a NFL QB tonight
thewildrabbit replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is exactly right Tebow is a gym rat and very dedicated, it makes so much difference. Many many QB's enter the NFL and need to work on their mechanics, footwork is usually the biggest problem, holding the ball properly above the shoulder and keeping the chest and hips square to the target is another. The thing is, if the QB coach is not very good it will reflect on how well the QB develops. Any new QB wanna get it right, just watch the master of mechanics and the most dedicated QB to his craft I've ever seen, Payton Manning. -
If I were the Bills GM I'd pull a Ditka and trade the Bills first 3-4 picks to St Louis in order to draft the manster. I would go after the best LT free agent and draft a LT just to be sure. Also, I'd beg Rusty Jones to rejoin the Bills as head trainer, lord this team needs help in the injury dept.

thewildrabbit replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The wise thing to do "IF" you draft Tebow would be to install that Gator offensive scheme and let him run it IMO. I wouldn't mind Urban Meyer as the Bills head coach, the guy is a winner. Tebow has that horrid long wind up like Byron Leftwich, that is a huge disadvantage. It telegraphs his throws and NFL DB's will eat him alive. NFL QB's need to be trained to hold the ball with two hands above the shoulder when passing, so he needs some development. -
The simple truth is... nobody really knows if this guy will work out or not. Is he a great hire? Why don't we see who he hires as his head coach, who he allows as coordinators and who he drafts. All it will take is 4 months and the entire world will know whether or not he was a great hire. FWIW, Isn't this the exact same way Bill Polian got his start as GM for the Buffalo Bills? P.S. Who really shives a git if the guy is 70 yrs old as long as he does a great job while in Buffalo.

Edwards will start next year
thewildrabbit replied to nick in* england's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Montana didn't have the strongest arm either and flourished in that west coast offense, the same offense Edwards learned while at Stanford. Another QB Walsh stated could be great comming out of college was Jake Plummer, he was drafted and played at Arizona under Marc Trestman. The coaches and scheme's these young QB's are trained in the first few years they get in the league are crucial to their development and future. The Buffalo Bills have ruined their fair share recently. -

thewildrabbit replied to nick in* england's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This may well be accurate, only time will tell. If a true OC with successful experience coaching up young players gets hired, then things may actually improve regarding the QB situation. -
Whomever the Bills hire they had better be able to compete against the devil himself in New England. Stating that, I'm all for bringing in Charlie Weiss as OC to straighten out this crap of an offense.
-
If you look at his record in New Orleans he had one good season 10-6, his first. Which means the team was good before he got there. The team basically went downhill from there in a mediocre division. In 6 years at NO he went 45-51 and his last he went 3-13, blame it on the hurricane if you like but it looks like he lost the team. This guy looks like another Dick Jauron to me. This Bills team needs people who are on the level of Bill Belichick if they are to take the AFC East division. I'd rather see Haslett become the DC and let Charlie Weiss get a shot at OC if anything. Weiss was responsible for mentoring Tom Brady, he certainly would be an upgrade to what Buffalo currently has coaching the offense.

Called for Nix as GM in October
thewildrabbit replied to jahbonas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets us see if any of Bill Polian, John Butler and AJ Smith rubbed off on him. He might be the right guy at the right time. Also lets see who he hires as his head coach and coordinators, and what schemes they run. I'm so sick of the Bills last in the NFL against the run,the Bills need to drop they stanky Tampa 2. P.S. If this guy trades St Louis for the #1 overall and drafts Suh, he will be my Idol. -
LMAO cheap, scared Ralph at it again.
thewildrabbit replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Before I start bashing the guy, lets wait and see who he hires as his head coach. Then wait and see who the coordinators are, and then wait and see who he drafts. Personally I think Wilson is playing craps again with the personnel and he hopes to get lucky
