  1. Losman is a bust. Get over it. Lynch is a disapointment. He is a good NFL back. However backs of his caliber can be found in the 3rd, 4th and 5th round almost any year. In other words, Bills overpaid.....again. He is not an elite back. This whole Beastmode label is a sophmoric attempt to make him somthing he is not. Truth hurts but wtf. Believe your eyes NOT the hype.
  2. Farve is washed up. We should beat the Jests by 10 pts.
  3. This was exactly the kind of game where having a real Beast in the backfield could have swung the game in our favor. Cant rely on Trent to win them all for us. ML never has and I am beginning to think never will be able to carry a game for us.
  4. I am optimistic about our chances this week BUT.... Isnt saying a loss may have been good in a very tight divisional race kinda whistling while walking past the graveyard?
  5. Do we truly know that? It is may be convenient to blame the line (the same line Trent is flourishing behind) but fact is it is pretty much unspeakable on TBD to even mention ML has not shown 1st round talent yet. Just sayin......... Maybe he explodes this week. Wouldnt be shocked. Just havent seen it yet and need it this week more than any so far this year.
  6. Dont want to beat a dead horse here but to say "I dont think its useful" is ignoring the obvious. Fact is, when faced with the task of playing teams that have explosive offenses, time of possession is critical. ML needs to be a clock eating SOB Sunday. Ahem.......Ever see SB XXV?
  7. No, he has not done it yet this year, you know that. Reason? Is it ML or the line? This is the same line with an all-pro left tackle with another year of experience. If it is Lynch, he needs to step it up and play like a 1st round back. Time of possesion against the Chargers will be crucial. This will be the best team we have faced to this point. If we can control the ball for >35 minutes, keep Rivers and LT on the sideline as much as possible we should win. Simple no?
  8. If ML runs for 25 we lose. If Jackson goes for 200 we win. If LT gets 400, you stop droppin acid.
  9. Silly me. I was expecting better than this when I signed on here.
  10. if Marshawn Lynch can run for 100+ yards. Its time for "the beast" to bring his game up a level and carry us to a hard fought ground game victory. If he can rip some nice runs early, Trent can then do his thing and Bills will win. I feel he is the key to this game. Can he do it? Go Biils!
  11. I didnt regard him very highly before the draft. When Parcells passed on him and Atl drafted him I was convinced he was going to be mediocre. I think it was BadOldBillz who said he was a lock. Nice call!
  12. Well then Mr Quotemaster General. Try putting the book of quips away and forming an original thought. If you care to assail someones intellect it would bolster your purpose to choose your own words. I signed on to TBD enjoy some reasonable discourse regarding our Bills, not to trade barbs with you or anyone else. Good day sir. BTW, it would be proper ettiquette to give credit to the authors you "borrow" your quotes from.
  13. An inarticulate dolt such as I could ponder your quote (If I remember correctly it was by Samuel Johnson?) for a year and still not comprehend its full meaning. But with your level of intellect you knew that by reading my first post here didnt you? Regarding my post on Marshawn. I NEVER stated he was a bust as suggested by some replies. He is without a doubt one of the main reasons our beloved Bills are now in the playoff hunt. What I WAS suggesting is he is not the kind of back that can singlehandedly carry a team to a win a couple of times a year by being a workhorse, helping us eat up the clock and keeping opposing offenses off the field. Ala L.T. , Michael Turner. I enjoyed the posts responding to my assertion. The overwhelming majority of the posters here are astute football afficionados. (except maybe for the pseudo rasta wannabe ) Thanks for letting me take part!
  14. Hello TBD folks. I have been visiting the site for some time now and finally decided to join the converstion. I am thrilled with the 08 team. We have a team on the rise and can expect to be among the top 8 teams for the next few years and with some draft help may be able to contend for a title in the very near future. HOWEVER, my main concern is with Lynch. I just dont see 1st round talent with this guy. I think he has gone over 100 yds maybe 2 times and seems to have a ton of 2 yard carries. It is certainly not for lack of effort. He gives 110% But his avg gain is way less than 4 and good backs average over 4. Im thinkin a guy of this caliber is easily found in the 3rd and 4th round. With the SD game coming up, if we had a back that could take 30 carries and give us a big edge in time of possesion we could win the game by keeping Rivers and Gates and Tomlinson off the field. I just dont think Lynch is the kind of back that gives us that capability. Aside from character issues I dont see Lynch as any improvement from Willis. Is anyone else disappointed with this guy like I am? edited : But his avg gain is way less than 3, meant 4
