Probably not a popular opinion but why not just build a dome or have the option to close the roof so we never have to use poor weather as an excuse for losing a game again and can take advantage of Allen talent during his (hopefully) long career in Buffalo??

I can’t believe it took this long for someone to come up with this idea. For God’s sake someone contact the Pegulas ASAP.

Everyone is so excited for this but have the bills actually said they are interested in the 90s era throwbacks? I really hope they are but I’m not going to just assume it’s going to happen.

The Bills milk the color of face masks they wear for all it’s worth. They’re going to be all over this one.

And That's why we got a quarterback who throws 60 miles an hour.. to cut it through the wind

Yeah Matt Barkleys arm might be effected.. Josh Allen might have one or two out of every 10 throws effected.. while the opposing QB has 5-6 effected

Packers fans do that too. It's part of living in the Western New York community

And You get free tickets to the game.. it's win win

I can see why it's not going downtown.

Especially with what's going on in the city rn

I wouldn’t worry about that too much.

Im just saying if we could manage to find Spiller a role with his subpar blocking, we could find a role for Wade. The one thing going for Gailey was his ability to get Spiller in space. Wade is good in space.

Two different teams. This Bills team was in the AFCCG last year. How well did the Spiller teams do exactly. Your standards should be higher now for THIS team than “we found a role for Spiller”.
    It’s a terrible comparison.

San Fran.: One online friend is a fan of theirs, as is one person I used to support (I work at a day hab).  And I thought Jimmy G got a raw deal in NE.

Denver: One online friend, and I really wanted Peyton to nab a ring there.

Indy: As above, I'm a Peyton fan, and I kinda feel a draw to cheer for the estranged former AFC East team.  That, and I'm pulling for Frank.  Really wanted them to make the playoffs last year, but hated that they had to meet us there game one.

Raiders: Had two former co-workers that are fans, loved the unis as far back as a kid.  And I loved the secret connections between Ralph and Al.

Then there are two I have mixed feelings over...

Dallas: My cousin and her husband are Cowboys fans, so I do pull for them.  But I still hate the team for the whole "America's Team" days.  So, I compromise.  I pull for them when it doesn't involve Buffalo.  But when they play the Bills I truly relish any beatdown we put on them, such as the Thanksgiving slaughter.

Tampa: *sigh*.  An online friend of mine is a hardcore Tampa fan, football and hockey, so Tampa used to fall in the above group for a few years.  Now TB12 and Gronk are there and...ugh...I just have mixed feelings.

    You have too many friends

Time to move on and find someone with the right priorities.   LOL 😂

I thought there was a rule that Thanksgiving was cancelled with the in-laws if there’s a Bills game. Is that just me? Am I the weirdo?

A couple of times I've read and not logged in. "Frustration" was zero. Just one add as I recall.

But, oddly, ad was always for tasteful lingerie/swimwear.

Not Vicky's Secret mind you, but more along the lines of "why has Martha Stewart been using my phone?"

Nota bene: yes, I'm a dude; no I don't look at porn; no I don't buy lingerie. But I do read a lot of complex foreign policy articles (I swear) on my phone.

The ad service algorithm remains a deep mystery....

because the NFL has explicitly suspended players in the past for a failure to cooperate, and having settlement agreements that explicitly forbid cooperation with the nfl would fit that.  Deflate gate and the Al Jazeera incidents are good examples of punishments specifically for lack of cooperation

I think a settlement with all these victims is extremely unlikely and beyond wishful thinking.  And even more wishful be Watson thinking he could escape any suspension by going that route.

the nfl is going to investigate this, Watson can’t simply prevent everyone from cooperating and think the nfl would just shrug in confusion

this is a league that suspended Big Ben, who had two super bowl rings, after one sexual assault allegation he was never charged or convicted of.

He was twice accused of sexual assault before suspended.

** I had planned to make a post talking about the new phenomenon in Buffalo: Players taking less money or declining to hit the market altogether because they want to stay in Buffalo. I can't EVER remember a time like this in Bills history.

Off the top of my head, Matt Milano, Jon Feliciano, Isaiah McKenzie, and Levi Wallace all either refused to meaningfully test the market or took hometown discounts to stay in Buffalo or both. This speaks to what Beane and McDermott have built, and it speaks to the fact that culture is real. Oh, and playing for a 13-3 squad with a franchise QB doesn't hurt, either, and that brings us to this article from The Athletic:

    https://theathletic.com/2472211/2021/03/24/josh-allen-has-gone-from-question-mark-to-selling-point-for-bills-in-free-agency/

"Buffalo has long been considered a free agency outpost. That reputation was earned. Those searching for a big market or warm-weather locale won’t have Buffalo high on their free-agent list. That led the Bills to have to overpay to land some of their notable free agents. They also have New York’s hefty state income tax working against them on the financial side.

But what has historically bogged down the Bills in free agency more than any of that is a lack of winning. When The Athletic’s Tim Graham wrote about the “Siberian Stigma” that used to surround the Bills, Beane identified a quality quarterback, a contending team, stable leadership and ownership that invests as criteria the Bills now sell to free agents. The first two have only strengthened after a 13-3 seasons in which Allen received MVP votes.

'I think when you have a guy like Josh Allen leading your franchise with a guy that players can trust like Beane and McDermott, honestly, that’s where it starts,' said Jon Feliciano, who re-signed with the Bills prior to hitting the open market. 'I think that’s why you see a lot of us coming back and taking less money or whatnot – just to able to go to work every day and know that we’re all truly going for the same goal. A lot of organizations will say it’s all about winning, but at nut-cutting time, they do some other things. So I think the biggest attraction beside Josh Allen is you know you’re going to be in an organization that’s in it for the right reasons and is doing it right'."

He didn’t mention the fans?? Cut his ass!!!

I know that people are innocent until proven guilty. I know there is due process. I try not to jump the gun in rushing to judgements in situations like these. The more allegations come out and the more lawsuits you see though, as well as the statements around them, it's hard to think that this will end well for Deshaun. The more this keeps piling up, the more this could be a career ending scenario. I know some people will laugh at that thought, but when have you EVER seen someone have so many accusers like this where it happens to be an "all's well that ends well" type of scenario? I think the threat of criminal charges are now a real possibility and this could be extremely life altering for Deshaun in his personal as well as professional life.

Big Ben laughs at your (correct) logic.
