  1. SJ13 wont have over 70 cathches this season i guarantee it. Say good by to the numbers last year. Put 8 in the box, 2 on steve johnson and FS to cover the other 2 WR...cuz none of them can catch. Talk about depth at our WR....yea just cuz we have 6 WR on the roster doesnt mean we have depth.

I'll take that bet. Lee missed 3 full games and the majority of the Cleveland Browns game last year and Steve Johnson still had 21 catches over that stretch.

  2. Anybody who'd want Edwards on the Bills is crazy.

"There's nothing going on in Cleveland," Edwards told the Times. "There's no real estate. There's no social life, no social networking. All the people who have something going on leave Cleveland. So Cleveland has nothing, and I came in there with a New York-type of essence. So what? That was the attitude I came in with. Like, this is who I am. They didn't like the flash."
  3. And why exactly AREN'T the Bills in a position to be overpaying for an above average tight end? There is still some money to be spent, they need help there, and would have to overpay to land him.

The are basically the DEFINITION of being in a position to overpay a bit for an above average tight end.

Boss would be a nice addition.

Because the Bills were 4-12 last year and not once did I think to myself while watching the games that one of the main things holding the Bills back was that they lacked a slightly above average tight end. They have no long term answers at LT, RT, QB, and OLB and until they do I don't want the Bills investing significant resources into the tight end position unless it's for an 80 catch, 1000 yard, 8+ TD sort of player.

  4. Or, overpay him a few million because this is such a drastic need. Guarantee twice what the Giants will, toss in some more money and our odds of getting him will dramatically increase.

The Bills are not in any position right now to be overpaying for an above average tight end. Besides, aren't Bills players who are merely good but not "difference makers" or "game changers" run out of town around here?

  5. Miller got about 7 mil a year (5-34) with 17 mil guaranteed. Lot of cash but he's a very good player.

John Carlson, now that he is no longer a starter, could help the Bills. Not sure what the Seahags have in mind for him.

Good player but that's a crazy contract.

  6. You know what's funny is that this morning Howard Simon was ragging on Pozluzny for not being an impact player while at the same time suggesting the Bils replace him with Barrett Ruud. Meanwhile I just was lurking a Bucs message board and some of their fans want to replace Ruud with Poz because Ruud isn't an impact player but Poz is a tackling maching.

  7. He's a great blocker too....sigh @ comments like these

David Nelson is a WR. I don't care that he's a TE as far as you're concerned. I don't think chan and buddy do either. We need a TE that can catch AND block. It helps the running game and the passing game. A versatile TE can help keep a defense honest. David Nelson is not that. He's a promising young WR. That is all. Just because he's tall, doesn't mean he's a TE

But at what cost? If the Bills could sign Miller to a reasonable contract then fine, sign me up for that. But if it means winning a bidding war against Al Davis, who I believe will ultimately overpay to keep Miller, then I'm really not interested.

  8. (If you're going to post that this is bad idea; just keep it to yourself and it will have the same effect as posting it.)

It's not a bad idea but I just think that the Bills already have a receiving TE- David Nelson. I don't care that he's listed as a WR, as far as I'm concerned he's filling the TE role in Chan's offense.

But the other 22 lose as well. The ultimate outcome of the rookie wage scale represents a major victory for the league, with the total pay of the top 10 picks dropping by anywhere from 40 to 55 percent. The money will now be shifted to veterans and retired players.
  10. This is a pretty weak argument. If you have designated smoking areas this really isn't a concern. If you're so sensitive that catching a distant whiff of smoke is going to ruin your experience, maybe you're the one who needs to change to accommodate others. This is just another example of a vocal minority of busy body activists ruining someone else's experience, and the apathetic majority says screw em, I don't smoke anyway so I'm happy to greatly inconvenience others as long as it doesn't inconvenience me.

Ruined? Because you had to go 3 hours without a cigarette?

Burress described their relationship as “ambivalent,” and he said that he rebelled against Coughlin. “I’ve missed some meetings,” Burress said. “I’ve been late. I’ve been fined.”

Specifically, we’ve heard that Burress was fined upwards of 50 times in 2008 alone for a variety of infractions.

In contrast, Burress spoke glowingly about his relationship with former Steelers coach Bill Cowher. And that means it could make sense to keep an eye on teams coached by men over whom Cowher has influence, such as the Cardinals and Ken Whisenhunt, and the Bills and Chan Gailey.
