My wife had a brain aneurysm last evening and was helicoptered to york hospital in Pennsylvania for surgery. She is fighting for her life. The only reason I’m writing this is to ask for prayers for someone you never met, but is an amazing and passionate bills fan, like myself. I’m out of options, folks. This truly does fall on faith and hope that she will be healed.

Thank you so much for reading this and I know your prayers will be felt. The Mafia is a family. We might not agree on things all the time, but we all want the same thing. At the end of the day, it’s a sport, but this is real. Please pray for my wife, myself, and our two children. Thank you.

Tons of prayers! My wife had 2 brain tumors 2 years ago. 1 was removed via a craniotomy residing in the frontal lobe which was the size of a grapefruit. The other tumor was a little smaller in the parietal that was “gamma knifed” at Roswell and hasn’t shrunk yet but too be expected. It has been a very rough road and all we can do is support, pray, and try to keep afloat. May God bless her and yor family 🙏. Every clinical picture and situation is different but know you all are supported!!!

  2. Off the top of my head, I believe Norwood was much more consistent than Bass. Tyler has been concerning to me for well over a year now. They each missed 44 yarders but Norwood > Bass imo. I expect the Bills to move on from him.

Can I just say again that Tyler Bass sucks? So so fragile

I think he sucks too! Big leg but erratic.

Now that the dust has settled, I’ve really looked at the statistical production of some of our guys.

I knew Shakir had a good year, then I really looked at his production.

    He had a PHENOMENAL year.

39 catches and 2 TDs are decent numbers for a ‘#3 WR,’ but can we talk about his 86% catch rate? That is outstanding. Caught 10 of 12 in the playoffs for 2 more TDs as well.

282 Yards after catch? Love it.

    15+ yards per reception.

    133 QBR when targeted.

    Ready for this?

45 targets. Zero interceptions when Allen looked his way.

57 targets when you add in the postseason. Still zero INTS.

Fifty Seven targets. Zero drops. Zero. ZERO. Bills were in the bottom of the drop statistic this season.

I don’t think Shakir should come off the field. He’s the slot WR and should be the #2 WR target.

I’d love data on if he lined up outside when the team went to 2 WR sets after Gabe’s injury, or if he came off the field.

Shakir has shown BIG TIME potential, and it’s the little things that hint to it.

    Thoughts?

    🦬

Really nice summary! I would love to see this consistently throughout the entire season and take some heat off our 1.

I think the chance to coach Herbert is no doubt tempting. But it is one of the worst ownership situations in the league. They don't like spending money and they interfere. Worst of both worlds. And Harbaugh is incapable of biting his tongue

I think this has been settled my friend 😊

Diggs dropping that bomb. We end of punting in that drive. No points scored. We probably (maybe?) get at least three there if caught.

This is the one that kills me the most. Josh missing the crossing route to Diggs there on the last drive on 2nd and 9. If caught, Diggs definitely gets a first and probably goes down around the 10. It’s plays like these that made a Brady great cause he would see it, take the easy, high percentage, throw and keep the chains moving and the clock ticking. I honestly think at this point Josh will never get us over the hump because of either his inability to see plays like that or unwillingness to take the easy dump off even at crunch time.

Bass missing the FG at the end. Statistically Bass has been one of the worst kickers this season. I’ve been harping about it since the beginning of December. McD simply never trusted him the second half of the season. Last week was a giant flashing sign saying “don’t trust bass!” that McD didn’t heed. Even his XPs tonight were barely eeking in between the uprights. Now I understand if we make that FG, the chiefs still have a lot of time and two TOs, but missing it guaranteed we would lose.

Been echoing the same things about Bass.

I see the same guy I saw at Oregon, talented, but no “it” factor.  Maybe it’s the terrible coaching, but maybe it’s just the same guy.

It is hard to tell but ive seen him play really well at times

Those are facts but they may throw a ton of money his way. Definitely bizarre and erratic ownership!

I think he should have hired Harbaugh. Unless of course Jim turned down an interview and we don't know about it. That was the best fit for him IMO.

Doubtful Harbaugh wanted the job anyways. In my opinion, the Chargers are the most likely landing spot.

I don't listen to Eric Wood's podcast much, but I caught the most recent episode he had with Ryan Fitzpatrick, and they shared some old Doug Marrone stories, talked about how much of ***** he was. Wood said he was growing his hair out once and Marrone told him he looked like an idiot and to get it cut. Fitz also talked about his one meeting with Marrone in Buffalo right before he got cut. Said Marrone was hyping him up talking about how excited they were Fitz was already in Buffalo. Fitz said he never spoke to him again after that but did bump into him in an elevator this year. Wood shared another story about how after the loss to the Jaguars in the playoffs Marrone came up to him saying he would contact him about something they had never discussed before. Just seems to be a pattern of awkward encounters with Marrone every where.

Marrone was a total jerk - no surprise here as he was not liked at all

Have you seen how well the Defense has been during this win streak?  The D is playing with 3rd and 4th stringers, and practice squad players.  Next man up.  Why the hell would you want a different D coordinator?

Slightly off topic- how fun was it to watch Dorian Williams?  I like the idea of Dorian spying Mahomes.  Dorian brings the hammer!

I saw the same thing and man Dorian continue to improve.

just saw that Ron Rivera is interested in coaching still and how he missed coaching on a granular level when he took over for Jack Del Rio who was fired mid season.  He also stated he has a few opportunities available.

I think this is a bit interesting.

A guy that has thrown his staff under the bus, lost the locker room and has failed 2 times as a HC. Absolutely NOT!

Maybe it's just me and I'm romanticizing the latter Daboll years, but the passing offense still seems a bit disjointed, does it not?

A lot of the success seems to come down from broken down plays that Allen has to improvise on as opposed to guys being schemed open or even the odd gadget play. I agree that a big chunk of Allen's success will depend on him just not thinking and going off-script at times but I think back to some of the games he had earlier in his career and how they made everything look so easy, even against some really good defenses.

Keep hoping every week that they can get things together but I don't think that's happening without a new OC. On the other hand, I think Josh is that good where he can single-handedly win you the next three games to make this point moot but I would still love to see what he could do with some fresh blood in the coaching room.

I think we are much more balanced. Third down conversions best in the NFL and we routinely put up plenty of points to win…

Not sure if it’s ’not right’ or if it’s what they plan. A couple of weeks ago our #2 (Gabe Davis) had zero targets. This past week our new #2 (Sherfield) had zero targets. It’s hard to believe that’s by design but then again maybe Joe Brady is playing four dimensional chess.

I think he wants to keep defenses guessing. Now they have Shakir to worry about. If Gabe comes back look for him and Diggs to be heavily involved.

I haven't heard of any changes on anything I was told yesterday. Still just a minor tear in his meniscus which some players are able to play on but not all. It is normal for the Bills to rest injured players on Wednesday regardless of their game status.

Cortisone shots may be in his future
