  1. According to Vic Carucci on Sirius NFL Network today, the report out of KC was that Tony Gonzalez had a few "no trade to" teams and one of them was Buffalo. They didn't have details as to why this was and his partner on air questioned why TG would not want to go to a 4-1 team (weather vs. media attention?).

So despite what the Bills were going to offer, TG was going to veto the trade and Peterson was not about to trade him where he did not want to go.

Either way, I hope this doe snot bode ill for future FA signees.

I don't think it will effect anyone elses opinion of our team if anything it makes him look like a big whiner. Anyway he didn't want to be a Bill he wanted to be a Giant well he shunned us and the Giants shunned him Kharmas a female dog eh?

  2. How many people on this board think the Bills are a legitimate Super Bowl contender. I think the Bills will likely have a pretty good shot at the playoffs and may even win a playoff game, if they host it. But this team is not yet ready for the SB, they just have too many holes.

The realist in me says these thoughts ring true, however I would have said the same thing about the Giants last year.

  3. Fox Sports' Jay Glazier reports Tony Gonzalez is "disappointed" and "pissed" that he wasn't traded to a contender.

Gonzalez knows he's near the end of his career, and the Chiefs won't be competitive for at least a couple of seasons. Once again, Chiefs GM King Carl Peterson held out for a ransom when a reasonable offer of a third-rounder for a 32-year-old tight end was on the table. The future Hall of Famer's talents will continue to be wasted in Kansas City's ongoing rebuilding project.

Apparently they were holding steady on wanting a second and a fifth round pick. Would any of you posters here given them that? I think I might have

The most I might have budged towards would have been a 2nd and 5th for TG and KC's 3rd

  4. I forgot to mention this before, so thanks for bringing it up. The Giants traded Shockey for a 2nd and 5th pick to the Saints, but would only offer a 4th for Gonzalez, which is what the Bills got or McCargo? They must not think he has much left in the tank even right now. So maybe it's best that a trade to the Bills didn't get done.

And instead of wishing injury on him, I'd rather see him prove he wasn't worth a 3rd rounder, and that the non-trade was a blessing in disguise. IMHO I think he lost a lot of respect league-wide over this whole fiasco and maybe that was a factor in the low trade offers.

So lets try to play the best ball we can and make it into as well as make some noise in the playoffs. Hey if the stars align in our favor who knows where that might lead. Tony Gonzaga will just be another one we can rub it in the face of if he truly didnt want to come here. I wanted him sure I did he would have been a great infusion of leadership and experience but that wouldnt matter if he didn't want to be here.

Whats the deal with the rookie Fine? I know its a term used alot here but I thought the FO thought highly of him.

And hey, we still have our third roung pick after all, good thing as our lines are still in need of help.

  5. Ummm...

You have obviously never smoked Randys. They make several types of wired papers, but all are hemp.

Your right I havent in years I really do like the smokin greens alot though so thin you don't taste a thing but the zing. I use these little filter inserts as well eliminating the need for the wire. Maybe before one of the games sometime we can compare.

I wish there was a portable vape that really worked.

  6. I thought I heard it was around 3 kilos (6.6lbs), plus pounds of marijuana as well.

That was the precursor that put Henry in the DEA sights.

"The case has its roots in Montana, where a trooper and DEA agent stopped a car that was carrying six pounds of marijuana and about three kilograms of cocaine on Sept. 16, the affidavit said.

A passenger in the car, whose name was not disclosed in the affidavit, told authorities Mack and Henry had supplied him with the drugs, which he was supposed to deliver to customers in Billings. The man said he was supposed to be paid $5,000 for delivering the drugs and transporting about $63,600 in sales proceeds to Henry, according to the affidavit."

  7. Jeffrey D. Sweetin, a Special Agent with the Rocky Mountain Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) said that Henry, 29, along with James Mack were arrested Tuesday as a result of a “multi-kilogram cocaine transaction” in Centennial, CO.

Multi kilo so at least 4.4 lbs that ain't a line between friends folks. BYE-BYE

  8. I agree to a point. I completely agree that the next 4 games determine our season. Contenders or pretenders? That's the question right now. If we come out of that stretch 3-1 or better, then I think we can be contenders. Anything less and we're leaning towards pretenders.

I don't think the season is lost if we end up 2-2 or 1-3 over the next four games - there's still alot of football left. However, I think it dramatically knocks the team's confidence and puts us back in the pack.

So, I agree the next 4 games are very important.

I have thought all year that we are an improved team that might be ready to make it to the playoffs. The realist in me says were at least another year from being a true contender. I didnt put to much faith in our being elite when we were 4 and 0 and I don't think we are done for the year now that were 4 and 1. I think were a young team that is learning to win and become a contender. I do however agree that how we play in the next 4 games is crucial to us making and or competing in the playoffs. The bye is coming at a perfect time IMO.

  9. I think all of our players are overpaid. I say cut the lot of them. Blow it up and start over! We lost a game.... aaaAAHHHHH!

*runs around room waving arms in air* Schobel sucks! Kelsay sucks!! Poz doesn't suck but only because he never shows for a game!!! aaaAAHHHHH!!!! *runs into wall*

There is much more to be alarmed with than losing a game. Perhaps you don't see the lack of production from our d-line as an issue. I do and our money d-end just got handled by a player we released.

  10. Dude.

    :lol::beer::blink:

    Answer these questions:

    1. Are there or are there not frequent ties for playoff spots?

    2. If you are an AFC team in a tie would you rather have a 4-0 or a 2-2 record against NFC teams?

    Get it now?

    :wacko::wallbash::wallbash:

DUDE here is your original post.

"As I mentioned in another thread, winning this game would hurt our tie breaker situation. I hadn't thought of it, but the Cardinals winning hurts their tie breaker position as well. That ought to make things interesting."

Maybe if you said if we are going to lose four games this year I hope they are against the NFC as this would put us in the best possible tiebreaker scenario we wouldnt even still be replying in this thread. You said winning a game would hurt our tiebreaker position this statement in itself could never be true losing a game never improves playoff position.

  11. I was replying to you with that post but you must have erased your original while I was typing. I thought you must have begun to understand so you erased it but I guess not. I think my explanation still holds.

Your logic doesn't make any sense because any record could result in a tie.

Ok so lets say we win all of our division games and lose the rest of them are we gonna make the playoffs as an 6 and 10 team? Or maybe just possibly 4 added wins against the NFC makes us 10 and 6 and we win the division. I understand this logic might not make sense to you.

  12. Not really. It won't hurt them in the division tiebreaker but it won't help them either. Let's say they end up tied with an 11-5 record. If they have a better head to head or division record then they are ok. If they have a worse record then they'll lose out. But if that record is tied the Bills will be screwed because they would have won all of their NFC games and therefore less AFC games.

I'm begining to think your not being sarcastic. Lets say they lose 2 of the 4 games that your predicting they will probably win against the NFC 11 and 5 would then become 9 and 7 and were watching the playoffs rooting for other teams.

  13. I'm not sure how his agent convinced him he had shown enough to be paid as one of the leagues top linemen. I think JP watched to many clips of other front offices talking about how good and dominant he is. His agent gave him horrible advice in hope of fattening his bank account.

Before anyone slams me for hating on Peters let me say I think he can be dominant, heck I think he can be the best tackle in the game. Thing is he didnt have enough experience to skip camp and preseason remember this guy is still an infant as far as O line play is concerned. This mistake should cost him and we would have been fools to pay him without seeing his condition and ability to pick up where he left off coming off of an injury.

I'd say if Peters should be upset with anyone it should be himself for getting too full of himself and his agent for trying to use him to fatten his wallet. If I were Peters I would fire the loser and try to get as many players as I could to drop him as well.

As far as the pay he needs to show that pro bowl level at all times as well as show the team that he really screwed up and is sorry for disrespecting the team that took a chance on him.

  14. That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Are you serious? It "hurts" the tie-breaker situation? Absolutely, astoundingly retarded post.

Yeah I'm having a hard time imagining any scenario where winning a game hurts your standing in any aspect.

  15. I turned off the spin doctors right after the debate and went to the BBC site. It was interesting to see what the other nations of the world thought of the debate. They mostly favored Obama and the main issue of concern was the US rebuilding credibility in the world. We are widely viewed as the bully forcing our will on other nations.

  16. he took the blame for the long TD after the game - being inches out of position can cost you. I trust Poz to learn from every one of his mistakes.

Poz will be fine he wasnt really so much out of position as it was a perfect throw its a game of inches.
