  1. I'm torn here the fan in me bleeds Blue has for about 30 years. However this is an nfl team and players and coaches who are making alot of money. If I think about it that way as a buisness a product that I and many other fans pay hard earned money to support I think about it a little differently. In the working world I'm an optician lets say you come to me to have glasses made and I make them wrong, then you come back the next year and I make your glasses wrong again, year three I make them wrong yet again. Would you continue to support me or look for a new optician?

  2. I'd say the only team we could possibly afford to lose to would be SF. As far as Tie breakers go, conference record comes before division record. With all but the whiners game being against conference teams, the only one we could really lose and still have a shot is SF.

Actually conference record would only apply against Indy or Baltimore at this point against the Dolphins or Pats or even the Jets for that matter division would be ahead of conference.

  3. Who cares if he was throwing to Lynch all night. It was working. He had a terrible first half, everyone knows that. But I had complete faith that Trent would lead us down the field when it mattered most. And when he was 90% there, the coaching staff crapped themselves into terrible FG position.

Say what you want, Trent is our best and only shot at being a good team. He didn't play well but the coaching staff was far worse when it mattered most.

This one is totally on the coaching. The players Edwards especially are to blame as well, bottom line chances are very high on play action being huge on that first down hell any of those downs. The real shame in all this is I truly thought after having such a horrible game if Trent could have led the game winning drive it would have pulled him out of his funk in a big way. I fear that by taking away that opportunity the coaches have set him much farther back than even a pick 6 would have at that point.

  4. Seriously, it's over - the sooner you learn to accept that, the better off you'll be.

Are you new to this or something? See, most of us have been fans for years and we can tell when we are out of it - we've learned to go through that "stage 1: denial" stuff pretty quickly - in another week or so many of us could be at "acceptance" - you'll know when you see all the draft threads....

So much truth here. Here we go again go Suns gahhhhh my hoops team are chokers as well.

  5. Beat Cleveland, SF, and KC and win 2 division games and that's 10 wins. If we get 10 wins with no running game or pass rush I'd say that wouldn't be a bad year. That may even get us in the playoffs!. Just saying don't jump ship yet, and I agree we are better than we have played the last couple of weeks.

We are better than we have played but we are still a young team learning to win. The bigger issue hate to beat the donkey is our lines the offensive line being more the problem. If the offense isn't scoring the defense loses intensity it's just the way things are. We have talent but LINES win super bowls

  6. "FUM, SAFETY, FUM, INT- that's why you lose." That is correct, but that is not a fluke, the results of those last 4 possessions were do to POOR COACHING, POOR PLAYCALLING, & overall POOR PLAY. A fluke is when something happens that shouldn't. For example; if the Bills had won that game against the Fins, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A FLUKE.

Agreed there are no flukes due to poor excecution and poor gameplanning. Therefore even if the Dolphins had lost it would not have been a fluke in the true sense of the word. There isnt a stat in the standings called flukes.

There can be officiating flukes such as the San Diego Denver game thus one might argue that there should be a column for these said flukes.

    :wallbash:

  7. "What about his overall run defense, the double teams he commands that frees up other players, the pressure he gets, the screens he disrupts..."

When was the last time you saw Schobel draw a double team? because I havent seen it this year. Matter of fact last time I saw him he was being handled by Turnstyle.

Perhaps Schobels injury is much more than many thought as implied by the amount of time hes missing. Thing is I'm worried about a player his age whose game is based on speed recovering well.

  8. Cool K9 I respect your opinion and your basis for your opinion even if I don't agree with it. I guess I feel the scheme we play is broken as proven by our d lines performance the last few years. Thus I didnt put as much priority on the players fitting our scheme.

I'm surprised however that you wouldnt consider OSI over Schobel as I might have him at number one on my list.

I guess thats why we all have opinions.

I think the main problem I have with Schobel is I feel his speed has waned to the point where I don't think he can cut it at his current weight. Also I was really turned off by what he said to Mitchell about losing a step. Its ok to get older and come to terms with the fact that you are declining physically, however to let the wolves smell your blood is a whole other story.

I will agree with you on GO BILLS however.

    Cheers

  9. Hey K9 since you called me out and disappeared when I asked if you couldnt pick 10 players you would rather have manning that position vs Schobel. I can't compile rankings for all 64 ends in the league but here are 18 players I would feel more comfortable playing the position instead of Schobel, no particular order. Just my opinion but the basis for why I put Schobel in the top twenty. I didnt put much effort into compiling this list and could probably add a few more. Heck I would probably add Joey Porter there as well.

    John Abraham

    Julius Peppers

    DeMarcus Ware

    Dewayne White

    Aaron Kampman

    Mario Williams

    Dwight Freeney

    Jared Allen

    Justin Tuck

    Osi Umenyiora

    Shaun Ellis

    Kalimba Edwards

    Aaron Smith

    Shaun Phillips

    Justin Smith

    Patrick Kerney

    Chris Long

    Kyle Vanden Bosch

  10. I'll wait for you to come up with the criteria for ranking defensive ends. All 64 of them. Of course I expect these rankings to take into consideration every scheme each plays the majority of the time as well as the proper context of the schemes and other positional responsibilities withing those same contexts.

Thanks in advance for the difficult task of amassing this data.

    GO BILLS!!!

Hey to be in the top 20 players at any position in the nfl is nothing to be ashamed of. My criteria was DE's I would rather have than Schobel on my team. Commanding double teams, sacks, forced fumbles ,strength of teammates on the line and ability to make tackles in the backfield. It's easy to name ten I would have instead of him. Eleven to twenty gets harder to grade thus I put him in the top 20 IMO. You cant name ten DE's you would rather have than Schobel?

  11. Hah I knew it would only be a matter of time before I saw this thread here. How come everytime someone is against weed they make it seem they believe people who use mj use it all day every day? Are people really that gullible? Doctors, lawyers, politicians, teachers, cops firemen and many others are among my friends that use mj as well as many other professionals. Guess what none of them smoke at or before work. On the other side of the coin I also know losers who burn out their whole day but I don't consider them friends.

Reality is many people from all walks of life use mj and continue to be contributing members of society. It doesnt take much work to find the facts that prove that Alcohol and Rx drug abuse are far more detrimental and fatal than the use of mj. Heck text messaging has proven more fatal than mj use. Its really time for the propaganda of the past to be put to rest wake up folks its the 21st century. When was the last time you heard of someone pullin a few rips and beating their wife to a pulp?

I could go on and on about this subject but the weekend is here for me so its time to hang with my friends Kens grandaddy and sour dies.
