Even Kelly's teams lost one that they shouldn't have each year and probably won one that surprised folks. 10-6 unless the D improves a lot.

Pats will definitely be 2-2 by next Sunday evening.

IOW they chose the uni that the Rams preferred all the 60s and 70s.

Run game probably needs more time to gel but the Jets were #2 run defense in the league last year. It's literally the one thing they excel at.
Same as the Bass situation, let's see what these guys look like against Miami at the very least before making any decisions.
Both Miami and NE's DL looked pretty porous against the run today. Cam did well enough and is still a handful to tackle. Edelman can still catch a football. Gilmore had a decent game.

The 90s Bills had their bad moments too, but the difference was that they rarely let up in the 2nd half. Marchibroda-Kelly gets the nod over Daboll-Allen, but all I want from a football season is a chance to win every game and enjoy the battles. What happens at the end of the season depends on luck (injuries, ball bounces, refs) and teams getting hot.

So the Rock likes losing money, too, it seems.

Great to see a "few thoughts" post, Bill. Miss your post-game posts.
For my part the OL still makes me nervous. Allen is good at getting out of jams and that covers some of their sins. He can't be thrilled about the right side not upgrading.

No way Cam Akers slips to the 3rd round. He is a star and ready day 1.

Still could use a RT... Just sayin'

BB has won with 3 different QBs now. Who thought Jimmy G was going to do so well? They will find a way to push the rules to their breaking point with a different attack. I wish I had a dollar for every time the Pats OL gets a holding call. I'd have a whopping $10, I think.

As long as they have Belichick, NE will continue to be be a thorn in our side. Hopefully the magic was all Brady and not the Hoodie. I guess we will find out this season.
A great coach almost always has a HOF QB on his team.

Well we avoided getting stomped by the Chiefs next week. Lots of things to fix for next year, but this year reminds of me of 1988 when the Bills lost in the first round, but you could see promise. Oh, they were all after Kelly then too. Josh is not as accurate as Jimbo, but he reminds me of him in a lot of ways. Singletary reminds me a lot of Thurman Thomas. We just need an Andre Reed and a Pete Metzelaars and we are good to go. BTW the Dolphins beat the Patriots and we didn't. AFC East will be a free for all next year.

Here's a question. What QB developed something he didn't have in college, in the NFL?

Just so long as they burn all red uniform parts. The all-red was hideous.

Wow, watching MNF, the Dolphins look pretty good. They played us tough last week in Buf. The game in 2 weeks in Miami does not look like a gimme after-all.
We know that Fitzy gets you some wins when he first takes over. Tails off over the season, though.

I was think the same about the Thurman comparison. He hasn't;t shown anything as receiver, but maybe that can be developed.
To say he isn't fast enough is ridiculous. he won't be running many sweeps, but his game speed looks pretty ***** good to me.
Yup, his football speed is definitely good.
-
I noticed that too. I watched almost every game Thurman played.

Love this pick, considering who was off the board. Go Bills!

The Pats OL was called twice for holding. That's progress. The Hoodie has taught everyone how to push the limits of the rules in more creative ways than anyone else. Refs don't have time to make a judgment.

We finally went all in in the QB position. Sure, Losman and Manuel were technically first rounders, but c’mon.
I was more excited about Darnold in the draft, and think he has great potential, but I’m so glad we got Allen. He just has that Buffalo intangible - a toughness that Kelly had and has, and a fierce will to win.
The endless search since Todd Collins took his first snap is over. We found the guy.
I agree he will be the guy, but he needs to practice hitting broad sides of barns this spring....

While I agree mostly with BPA, you take difference makers in the 1st round. If you trade down for mid level talent, that's where you will be in the standings over those years.
Josh Allen - week FOUR report card

The drops were more on Josh than the receivers. Hard throws down below the knees on the move. He seemed a bit jumpy after the injury bet settled back down. The sack was old Josh rearing its head.
