  1. I don't really care about what the media thinks, says, or analyzes about this team. And I think it's a waste of time for everyone to be excited that we were getting respect from the media up until Sunday. Even if we beat San Diego and the media jumps back on the bandwagon, it doesn't make a difference who said it, or on what network.

  2. It was a good team, we should have won, I think we're the better and tougher team, just mentally weren't in it yesterday. Not sure if that was because the team was down because Edwards is hurt, but I was hoping that would light a fire underneath them to hit Warner more like that one hit to the chin he took. But a loss may help them regain focus and regain attitude. A big homecoming against San Diego in 2 weeks, time to make a statement.

  3. Call me crazy, but I feel the Bills just didn't come out motivated yesterday. I believe the Bills were the better team and will keep believing that unless they lose the next 3 games. We've played tough teams, we beat Jacksonville. Oakland, even though winless, is a tough and physical team.

Whatever motivation they had coming in the game I think wiped out when Edwards went down. And the way his head ricocheted on the turf I figured it would be a concussion. But the rest of the team should have been motivated to play tougher football after that. I remember Edwards during the Oakland game in the 4th quarter, being knocked down hard, goes to the sidelines, sits to recollect his thoughts for a second, gets up and marches up and down the bench yelling at teammates and getting them fired up before going out and winning the game. That type of leadership and vocality is needed more in this team. I expected Whitner to fulfill that void when Edwards went down.

It seems at times we're motivated to play 'balls out' football and the offensive line and defense do great jobs, and then other times we just look like we're going through the motions with less attitude.

We need more attitude from more players.

  4. I was getting my morning smoothie at Smoothie King and I caught him stealing supplements. He made 2 trips to his car after putting a can of protein under his shirt. I know he had to have seen me staring him down. Anyway, while he was making the trips, I called the police, and they caught him, they came and picked me up to identify him and I got to ride in the police car with the sirens on during rush hour, it was pretty amazing. It was like "Cop and 1/2" but more raw.

  5. I saw him steal, called the cops, AND THEY CAUGHT HIM!

Turns out the guy had $1,500 worth of stolen merchandise in his car, a suspended driver's license, outdated traffic violation from a year ago, and a shoplifting misdemeanor.

Also, was driving a really nice Jaguar, but he went to jail so it got towed.

What a way to start the morning.

  6. Um, they did make the Super Bowl five years ago, and could have made it the year before if not for an atrocious call. And they made they made the championship game the year before that (and lost in part because of a truly dirty play by Tony Siragusa). That's more than can be said for the Bills and many other teams ...

My condolences, I didn't realize you were such a Raiders fan...

  7. I agree, score record it dont matter. You try to protect your QB, I counted no joke either 6 times they could have run a screen pass and gain 20 plus yards.

We ran a screen pass in Week 1 a number of times. In Weeks 3 and 4 I can't remember any off the top of my head. Not trying to be Mr. Offensive Genius here but it's a basic play that works really well for us. Why not?

  8. Solomon isn't worse than Chris Collinsworth. Collinsworth is the announcer on Madden 09 worst of all.

The one thing Solomon did yesterday that got on my nerves was rode the Rams bandwagon and didn't give the Bills ANY credit whatsoever until we were up 2 touchdowns. At that point he switched bandwagons and started gaga'ing over Buffalo. He was calling it an upset in the 2nd quarter!! I wouldn't have minded if we were 0-3, but we're 3-0, and from the opening kickoff til the start of the 4th quarter he was having a love affair with the Rams.

  9. This past summer, I had to fill 2 hours of sports talk content on WVBR 93.5 Ithaca every Sunday, all by myself. Jim Rome does more than that pretty much every day. Take it from me, repetition helps. I don't fault him for it, and I have nothing but respect for what the guy does even if I don't agree with him much of the time.

Like I said, he has good interviews. And I do share the same viewpoint about Rosie O Donnell as him.

  10. I was and still am a JP supporter, and I still want to see him succeed, but with the rise of Trent, I wish him the best, as we are now going down the road with Trent as our team's QB of the future. I am pretty sure JP won't be with the Bills next year, and I would love to see him get a chance to develop while it's still not too late. He really did get a raw deal here, (idiot Mularky, dumba$$ Fairchild, lack of talent, and the worst offensive line in NFL history at the time)

IMO either jump on the wagon that works or throw a pity party. I too had hopes for J.P. once upon a time. At some point, you have to cut your losses and move on. If you need someone to talk to, we're here...

  11. Just got off the phone with Rog, his friends call him Rog, he said the China team won't be expansion. He didn't want to use names, but they are planning to move a certain Florida team with a feline mascot out there. The league and the owners just feel their is a larger market for professional football in Beijing than in that particular part of Florida.

You didn't hear this from me, but there are also plans in the works to send one or both of the Missouri teams to the Dominican Republic and/or Venezuela.

Rog and I were fraternity brothers back in the day. And by back in the day, I mean, just a few years ago. We used to spend all day impersonating Dumb and Dumber lines.
