Exactly -- if he takes a timeout and loses the challenge, he burns two timeouts right there, doesn't he? I was ready to go off too when they said "down by contact" and the announcers added that it wasn't reviewable. Took the refs long enough to get together and make the right call.

Not sure if this was mentioned elsewhere but did y'all catch the announcers muttering about Reggie Wayne's touchdown catch in the second quarter? "Oh, I don't know if that was a catch... you can see the ball still moving... he brings it in but where is he in relation to the end zone?... Oh I'm surprised that one didn't go upstairs..." Christ. That was a catch, easy. And yet Al and John were practically begging Belichick to challenge it. Not like last week when the ESPN guys declared Branch's catch legal and showed all of one angle. I fell asleep in the second half, so I didn't see Troy Brown's "touchdown" live. Did the announcers express as much doubt about that one as they did about Wayne's? Did they express ANY doubt? I was surprised Dungy didn't challenge it, but I guess he had enough confidence that his offense would score again to put the game away for good, and they did. One other thing. It's obvious that ABC/ESPN took enough flak over The Tedy Bruschi (We're not worthy!) Show last week that they totally downplayed it this week, isn't it?

Thanks, man. We've been very impressed with the staff at Kennedy Krieger so far. The ironic thing is that my mother was a blue baby and had her surgery at Hopkins in the early 1950s (done by Dr. Alfred Blalock, whom Alan Rickman played in Something The Lord Made). So if it wasn't for Hopkins, my mom wouldn't be here, I wouldn't be here, and my daughter wouldn't be here. Weirdly it closes the circle, as it were. And we have no connection to Baltimore other than Hopkins. I will give a shout if I'm ever able to get out for a game. Thanks again!

That's most generous! To be honest the reason I'm going to be in Baltimore the next several weekends is that my daughter is in the pediatric feeding disorders clinic at Kennedy Krieger (Hopkins). She has multiple food allergies and is doing quite well but we are looking for every avenue that will help her to eat what she isn't allergic to ... My wife and son are with her. I have to work to pay the bills (and keep our insurance) but I will fly down every weekend. So you can see why (1) I was looking for a place in the city and (2) I will probably not be able to see any games live anyway. I will most likely DVR the games, stay away from televisions and radio, and watch them when I return home late Sunday nights. Thanks all for the info, and thanks R.Rich for the offer!

For me it's the landing. Particularly here in Rochester, where (1) there's always low cloud cover and (2) half the time you have to swing out over the lake, come in low over downtown, and land from the north. Sometimes the ATC guys will swing you out over the lake, come in from the north, and then change their mind and tell you to land from the south instead. Man does that suck, especially when you're 1,000 feet up and still can't see the ground.

And, as Moulds said, the New England player (Samuel) even admitted to him that they "got away with one there." Give Samuel his props for saying that, at least. Six years later and Brett Hull still isn't admitting that it was no goal.

I saw Def Leppard play a gig at the State Fair in Syracuse a year ago (the State frickin' Fair... how the mighty have fallen). I was in the front row and it rocked. They started with the entire A side of "High And Dry" and then, of course, played everything else. As far as I'm concerned, Def Leppard was the only good thing about junior high.

The worst NFL stadium I have ever been to is Texas Stadium, hands down. That place is a complete dump. And the frickin' hole in the roof is just stupid. Of course, I have only been to Arrowhead, the Meadowlands, FedEx Field (or whatever it's called now) and the Ralph for football games. I've been to the Stick, the Oakland Coliseum, the Vet, Three Rivers, RFK, the old Cleveland Stadium, the Kingdome and Busch for baseball though.

Which team plays in a market five times larger and has a stadium with five thousand fewer seats?
