  1. I haven't parked in the stadium lots for years and years, so this won't affect me. Where I park, it's easy in, easy out, not much more of a walk, and unbelievably easy car access via a short cut that nobody seems to use. If I told you where that was, I'd have to kill you. When they change THAT, then I'll get upset.
  2. I was waiting for you to top the "Raiders held a lot of their weapons out because they didn't want them to get hurt" line. You just did. Janikowski and Lechler are very good. Lindell and Moorman are no slouches themselves.
  3. 1. Buffalo has a new DC (George Edwards isn't it) and no off-season to install the new defense. Fitz also 4th QB in last 3 or 4 years by the way. Lost track of OCs. 2. No Evans who was regarded as the #1 receiver going into training camp. New TE had been cut twice by other teams. 3. Buffalo was also thin at WR with the loss of Evans and Marcus Easley. 4. Buffalo lost McGee in the first, possibly for the season, which immediately opened up passing opportunities which KC (very stupidly) failed to exploit. 5. You're right about this one, but the game was still in KC and it was still opening day, which is usually a huge lift for the home team. 6. Buffalo looked awful most of preseason and in camp. And Whitlock is a KC guy.
  4. Typical Flutie postgame presser: "Well, after I threw that touchdown pass, we fumbled." Anyway, arm strength... Flutie had a rag arm, at least when he was here. People mostly remember that heave against BC. I choose to remember the floater with which he hung Thurman out to dry and ended his career. He had the least arm strength of the three. Edwards may not have had the obviously stronger arm, but he had by far the quickest release of the three. That's why I ranked them Edwards-Fitz-Flutie. But ask me who I'd rather have behind center? Fitz, any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
  5. Notice how he makes a point twice of saying "you Bills fans" instead of just "Bills fans."
  6. The OP speaks the truth. That fourth-quarter performance, by both quarterbacks, was both putrid and par for their course.
  7. Sanchez is a terrible quarterback. That team is going nowhere with him no matter how good its defense is. Oh, and the Jets definitely miss Brad Smith.
  8. Seriously, when WAS the last time we brought in our backup QB for more than the last series in a win?
  9. Is Sully repeating his bet that he'll run down Delaware Avenue in his underwear if Fitz throws for 30 TDs?
  10. Guess Moorman still has some leg left.
  11. Nice play by Dareus forcing the sack!
  12. Probably because too many people are still too busy reading Sully's pieces to actually pay attention to what's going on. It's easier that way. No need to think. Who ees thees "Heinz Ward"? And why did they name their stadium after him?
  13. There's another New York team? Actually, that's a good trivia question that will weed out a lot of idiots: name all of the NFL teams from the state of New York.
  14. This is the only reason why Tebow got drafted in the first place.
  15. Wasn't this the guy who got all pissy when Pete Carroll took a different safety in the draft last year? As if Carroll should have taken him because he was a USC guy? Pass. It cracks me up that the Bengals' own site ran the story based on Donte's tweet instead of on the organization's announcement.
  16. And he was just elected to the Hall in the last couple of years, too. Coincidence? You decide.
  17. Too bad for the Jets
  18. Yeah, a little Stevie Wonder and Anne Frank....Who was that? Is that the blind girl? Helen Keller ... I don't know who the [expletive] Anne Frank is."
  19. Then you don't know the history behind the history, which is that Ralph was so mad at Davis for giving him damaged goods in Powell (and, of course, mad that Lamonica ended up winning a bunch of division titles in Oakland) that he swore he would never trade with Davis again. Of course, he outlived his own memory, but you'd think that after being burned not once but twice that he'd remember why he made the original vow.
  20. And exactly why would we trade with the Raiders? Ralph has done that twice in his life and gotten fleeced both times (Daryle Lamonica for Tom Flores and an injured Art Powell; a third-round choice for Billy Joe Hobert).
  21. "Miami looks pretty stupid" is hardly a shocking revelation. But it always bears repeating!
  22. In what way, exactly? I'm trying to picture Ryan Leaf as a Stanford student and it's just not working. By the way, for those of you who keep citing Brohm, Locker, etc as reasons why Luck should come out now, I have two words: Peyton Manning. If Luck is really all that, he'll be #1 next year, too.
