One would think that by this time, any eligible voter who is still on the fence might be better off seeking psychological counseling to help them with their inability to come to a decision, instead of going to the polling houses.
So this election has to be black and white, just like every issue huh? Being undecided means that you're thinking things over, and that's nothing to be ashamed about.

Obama had 30 minutes to disprove the known fact that he's either going to raise everyone's taxes, balloon the national debt or go back on his campaign promises...swing and a miss! What a waste of money. He would have been better off giving those hard luck people the cash.
You're aware that nothing in the future could ever be a "known fact" right?

Maybe Walker should spend more time working on his blocking instead of making lame videos.
Yeah, it's not like he's been our best offensive lineman this year or anything...idiot.
After watching these videos, is it possible to dislike the guy?

They have more killings in Chicago than the entire country of Iraq.
Remember this the next time you hear (or deliver) one of those "America is the greatest country in the world" rants.

So sorry - I've been living in TX way too long. I forgot the rules.
haha forgiven. I find that the further away you travel from Buffalo, the longer the name for wings is. In Buffalo, it's just wings. A little further away, you start hearing about "chicken wings". Further out, they are "Buffalo wings." Further still, they are "Buffalo style chicken wings." Disgusting.
And outside Buffalo, people don't seem to understand that pizza and wings are meant to go together.

this thread is freakin me out maaannn

For a Bills fan....not HATING Miami is like having ranch dressing with your Buffalo wings
Don't call them Buffalo wings, that's for outsiders. They're just wings.

He's a buffoon. I think he even fuc#ed up the All Star Game decision a few years ago (I know many disagree).
People disagree with that? Home field advantage decided by an all star game is probably the most ridiculous thing in the world of sports.

because the RNC and the McCain campaign are using "Joe the Plumber" to reach "Joe 6-Pack" in order to reinforce their message(s).
check out their response to the Death to Israel comment by Joe...
"While he's clearly his own man, so far Joe has offered some penetrating and clear analysis that cuts to the core of many of the concerns that people have with Barack Obama's statements and policies," RNC spokesman Jeff Sadosky said. "Whether it is Obama's willingness to sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, or his plans to redistribute the paychecks of hardworking Americans, there is good reason to question the judgment that Obama would bring to the Oval Office."
It's actually a rather intelligent strategy. Joe can say whatever he wants without the GOP paying for it because he's technically not part of the campaign, but whenever he says something worthwhile to the party they can rally behind it.

My dad's annoying friends from the NWS are constantly sending me this sh*t and I hate it.

Please expand more on this tidbit.
Actually, I was just trying to goad somebody into accusing me of being anti-American because I was bored. I don't really think that. In fact, after reading Team of Rivals, by Doris Kearns Goodwin, I doubt that I respect any man more in the course of American history. On top of being a brilliant politician and orator, it seems to me that he truly wanted was best for the country, something that can rarely be said about today's politicians. He led American successfully through it's darkest hour, preserved the unity of the nation, all the while battling his own depression among other personal demons.
You hear that "who would you most want to meet, dead or alive?" and I always answer with Lincoln.
-
This is a really dumb statement.
I agree but there's no point in trying to correct them. Most people will judge a RB sheerly on his YPC when there is so much more. And apparently theyve all forgotten about Lynch's 6 TDs so far, not that scoring TDs is a big deal or anything,
-
But I should add that I feel Lincoln was a relatively sh*tty president
-
So you are saying you dont agree with Lincoln.
Well it was a beautiful speech but my point is, what is westside arguing here? He's criticizing liberals for not abiding by the gettysburg address? What is that even supposed to mean?
-
No doubt....today was definitely the worst weather day of the year. The rain finally cut out in northern DE a few hours ago.
I know Selig said that he would never have called it, but I can't imagine that game going on 3 more innings if there had been no tie. But who knows? It was a joke he let it go as long as he did...
Normally I like to play devil's advocate here, because the job of a commissioner is not usually one that wins you many fans, but I'm having a lot of trouble thinking of one good think that Selig ever did.
-
Sorry, but it's been stuck in my head all day, had to infect TBD with it
-
We can start with the constitution. The Gettysburg address would make some nice kindling.
So you have a problem with liberals because we don't follow the tenets of a speech written in 1863 on a train on a napkin in about 1 hour?
-
Don't give a crap about the wildcard. It's a bad division. Go win it.
No playoffs since 99, you take what you can get. Frankly I'd be fine with 10-6, 9-7, or even 8-8, whatever is required to, at a minimum, seize that 6th spot.
Winning the division would be a BIG plus, but the line between successful season and disappointing season is whether or not we reach the playoffs.
-
Haha 32-18? was 31-17 just too vanilla for you?
-
I'll be glad if the series ends tonight. No more baseball until the spring.
or you could just not reply to a thread that deals with something you don't care about
just a thought
but I'm interested, what's your problem with baseball?
-
The league caught a break tonight when the Rays tied the game. I can't imagine them ending the series on a rain out with the score 2-1.
They NEVER wouldve ended it that way, Selig wouldve ripped the umpires' heads off if it happened, given the way he reacted to a tie (gasp) in the all star game. If the score was 2-1 instead of 2-2, they wouldve waited til 2 AM if they had to to re-start the game.

The thing is, the legal system here in America isn't a big dump truck. It's not a dump truck.
It's a series of tubes.
-
It's all a misunderstanding. I wouldn't worry about it. If I were you, I'd be more curious about the five scenarios in which the world will test Obama when he's elected president. We're t-minus eight months from attack, and I'm not sure what we should do to prepare. Are they only telling liberals, or will we all be told after the election?
Who exactly is attacking us in 8 months?
