  1. Kind of an ugly game, but it was very competitive and had an excellent finish. Probably the best of the week!

800 yards of offense and only a couple of TO's! Bad plays happen....what a game. Now onto next Monday Night for the slaughter!

  2. I've said Polian is a very good GM. I just think he is a tad overrated. If you look at Indy's draft history, they have taken a lot of skill players and defensive backs high. "Draft experts" on this board had said this is the wrong way to build a team. Indy's draft have been very similar to ours. Difference is they got a chance to draft Peyton Manning with a #1 overall pick.

does anyone honestly think if we had Manning instead of our scrubs that we would be in a decade long drought?

To say Polian is overrated is insane. Peyton would make a difference on every team but again, who are there big ticket FA's? They draft well, they stay true to their system and manage the cap well. He also drafted Mavin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Edge, Adai, Saurday, Clark.....get it? Peyton is great but Polian puts him in a position to be the best. We draft Lil Donte, they draft Bob Sanders. Look what he did in Carolina, he makes all of the difference.

  3. I don't think they are that slow. I have to throw this out to Perry Fewell's "gap" 4-3 defense, as much as the Bills' LB's looking like they are slow. Watch the Pats game, most plays the LB's run to exact "gaps" depending on the call, and in effect, take themselves away from the play before they even see where it is going. The result is to make it appear that they are either two steps behind or over persuing, when in fact, they just filled their gaps and the play ended up being a cut-back, or mis-direction play.

Yeah, that is completely wrong. "Gaps" refer to the DL unless there is a blitz/dog called. Poz is the least instinctive MLB that I can remember ever seeing. He routinely runs himself out of plays, scrapes poorly and rarely makes plays in the hole.

  4. Oh he was very good but he was also very fortunate. Without Bruce, we don't go to Super Bowls. Without Manning, the Colts are a very average team.

Every year there is a number 1 pick and it is a total crapshoot. Did you forget about Alex Smith who was taken 20+ before Aaron Rodgers? It is hardly luck. His Indy team has won 11 games in something like 7 or 8 years in a row . Peyton has lot to do with it but he has an amazing supporting cast and they were all drafted. They don't do fee agents in Indy.

  5. I take the Bills plus 10.5. The Pats are living on reputation, and gettign old! What happened to Bills fans? Did you all get castrated or lose your balls. Are you a little afraid of disapointment so you're setting it up that you don't care if they lose? Come on now, lets fire it up and enjoy the season! We will rock the Patsies!!! Enough with this whoa is me shiatski!!!

Yes, they are living off of the fact that they have one of the greatest Head Coaches and QBs of all time . They are also both in their prime. Last time Brady was healthy he threw for 50 TD's and they went undefeated during the season. Last year they won 11 games with a career backup. We have Dick J. He is 20 games under .500 for his career. He has trouble speaking let alone coaching. We are doomed.

Afraid of dissapointment? I'm a Bills fan brotha! I effin welcome that sh*t with open arms and ask if I can have another! Whoa is me...............

  6. I'll take Jim Kelly in any capacity I can get him, but I do agree. Jim Kelly would be in Bill Cowhers face 24/7 until Cowher succumbs to all of Kelly's harrassment, or Grudin or maybe even one of my new,up and coming favorites now thanks to the Senator, Mike Leach The mad football scientist.

Mornin Sunshine, how are you feelin after that bender you were on last night? I don't know if you remeber this but you swore that Jim Kelly is a Wizard with magical powers! Some funny sh*t.

  7. Well, I will be watching Cuse this year and its' only because...I am a lifelong Cuse fan and watch every game I can that they play every year, my friend. And GP or no GP, I am happy they brought in Doug Marrone, and ex-player who claims that this is his dream job and bleeds orange.

Like I said, I will have much more respect for Paulus if he is not forced to miss plays due to getting slammed by the Penn State defense next week, and suffering injury. Forget his "leadership", this week we find out about his heart and his toughness.

    I'm sorry about that.

Marrone will be successful because he showed yesterday, that he was going to work his gameplan around what he has and not try to make Paulus something that he is not.

Let me tell you something about GP, he is a Godsend to that program. With the emergance of Rutgers and Pitt and the continued success of WVU, PSU they have very little to draw from a recruiting standpoint. But GP and GP alone is putting you guys in the College Football discussion.

If you are looking for a guy who has played a couple months of football to prove to you what he's got against a Top 10 team well then I'm not sure what I can say to make the crash less horrific.

Look at Paulus as a President, don't judge him now, judge him on what he does for the future of this program.

  8. Paulus will soon awaken to the fact that he has gone form a wildly successful college program to one that is a disaster. Then, the soul-sucking force that accompanies weekly humiliating defeat and brutal physical pounding to his supermodel-sized frame will leave him a shell of the washed up college B-ball player he is today.

If you can't give him props after having a couple months to prepare for a game that he hasn't played in 6 years then you have a presonal issue with him. Again, I am huge Carolina fan and it is a tradition to hate Puke point guards but the dude was fun to watch. And for a program that is so bad, you need to someone to watch.

BTW, I was accused of being you (under another screen name) on this message board so it is only fitting that we completely disagree! Something about Race Point and Cornell AG something? Funny though, because The Senator HATES YOU!

  9. Yesterday was the first Syracuse game that I watched in years. Let me say this, I loath Duke Bball. But I thought Paulus was great to watch from a standpoint of you were watching a Point Guard playing QB. He was working the refs, encouraging his team uo and down the sidelines, hell I think he started pounding the turf when the D ran on the field! It was entertaining to watch and he almost pulled off, what would have been an upset. When he threw that pick I felt terrible for him. He did great and serious props to a guy that has been playing Fball for 3 months now to play that well against a mid level Big Ten team.

HOWEVER, he was probably one of the most overrated and overhyped prospects to ever come out of High School. In the Army All Star game he was completely out of place and looked like an Upstate High School prospect. A good friend scouted a couple of guys from CBA and used to say that he couldn't believe the hype that GP was getting because he has one of the weakest arms that he had ever seen on a guy getting that much attention. On top of that, he also said that he was hardly a great athlete and would never be even an average starter at the D1 level.

Props to Paulus for leading his team (That is what leadership looks like for all of the Lil Donte lovers) and props for almost pulling off the upset. I will be watching Cuse this year and it's only becasue of him. That being said, he won't even get invited to a NFL camp as a QB or anything else. He just doesn't have the arm or the athleticism. I think he would be a great coach though.

  10. I can't find a link online, but this is from the NFL preview Sports Illustrated on page 36. Peyton is interviewed by Dan Patrick:

So it seems as if Jauron is of the same school regarding the no-huddle as the Colts and the 90's Bills. Shonert apparently disagreed with that, and wanted a complex offense with lots of formations. Just some food for thought regarding Schonert bitching about being forced to simplify things.

Simplicity and repitition might also be the reason why the Colts win 13 games every year and only have 1 champioship (Which I would take in a heartbeat) to show for it. That being said, they have Peyton Manning. Their offense is built off of play action and no in the league carries out their fakes and sells the pass better than Manning. They also have had great personell; Harrison, Wayne, Clark James/Adai and a solid Oline.

The Bills have Trent Edwards and an Oline that looks to be in disarray. Multiple formations might be what we need to mask all of our ineptitude. However, I never saw innovation out of Turk. He barely utilized play action. He never moved the pocket. When you have guys like Lee and Roscoe, to never use a bubble screen or a quick hitch makes no sense at all. His idea of innovation was a TE screen to Robert Royal and all knows how well that guy runs.

We have the WR's and RB's now Trent has to put it together. I'm sure TO, Lee and Trent will have a TON of input when it comes to gameplanning this year. Lets just hope they know what the hell they're doing.

  11. Wouldn't it be HORRIBLE if 'Mr. WEO' and 'Big Green Weenie' both used identical language ("4H Program") to belittle the Cornell Ag School? :wallbash:

Dude, you got me wrong cuz I don't know what the eff you're talking about. JIM KELLY FOR HC!!!

  12. Got it. Actually, had it - hours ago. You (so you say) played a couple years of college ball, ergo, you know more than Jim...in fact, more than everyone.

Funny, but it seems I've seen this act before - only with a different screen name... :wallbash:

You know you've been on these boards to long when you can pick out trends. :wallbash:

The only way this team will ever move forward is if we stop living in the past. Would'nt it be HORRIBLE if Kelly came in here and bombed as any kind of coach?

  13. geezus, you just get crazier and weirder with every post...

"Jim Kelly did us all very proud that day and I just wish somehow, someway Jim could sprinkle a little bit of his heart and a little bit of his magic into an organization that really needs some help right now."
