  1. Yeah, it's just amazing to me how everybody's on the Miami bandwagon now. ESPN typically overrates them, especially now since they're playing so well. Teams go through peaks and valleys throughout the season, and I think that Miami has hit their peak now. No way are they a top six team in the AFC at years end.

It must be the Bill Parcells addicition.

  2. It is dumb, this 'respect' thing is pathetic.

Do fans really watch these rankings and these football shows on TV looking to see what the national opinion is of the Bills?

    I know that I don't care.

Yeah I think fans really do care. I mean I just enjoy the extra exposure since I don't live in Buffalo. It's nice to hear some different stories - you don't have to call it respect if you dont' like that word, but I sure do enjoy the ESPN exposure.

  3. Good to hear that he'll be an RFA....good chance we'll be able to keep him. And if some other team gets a stiffy over him we'll pick up a nice draft pick or two instead. My preference would be to hang on to him.

We might get a compensatory pick for simply losing a player but since he was an undrafted free agent I'm not sure that we get any compensation if we refuse the right to match his offer.

  4. You may be right (maybe even likely are) but that would really suck if players just remained exactly what they were year in and year out. Guys like Moulds and Youboty for example never would have been given a chance. You never know , he may have improved.

I don't disagree with the take on Preson at all but he had a chance to win the starting job out of camp, he didn't do anything AT ALL!!!!! Yeah Fowler is small but at least he is intelligent enough to read blocks and lead the line. Preston will never be the starting center for The Buffalo Bills. If it happens, I suppose my avatar is on the line (and I'm not just talking for one game, I mean like first on the depth chart in general).

  5. Really? Looked to Me like The Bills were moving the Ball quite well on the 1st Drive...Our QB got knocked out...Then the entire Team went into a daze...The Bills were not overmatched from the gun...Once TE went down the entire Team went with Him initially...It happens...They are a Young Team and when their Leader went down they lost their swagger...Dumb Penalties, missed assignments, and a bit of panic set in...Like I said it happens to good young Teams every now and again...Especially on the Road...

Not taking anything away from The Cards who played awful well...REAL well as a matter of fact...But the Bills were still only 7 points back early in the 3rd Quarter and the Game was well within reach at that point...One stop and a decent Offensive Drive and it's a tie Ball Game going into the 4th Quarter...FAR from overmatched from the gun...

I think if You put that Game in Buffalo and take Warner out during the 1st Drive You may see the same type of lopsided Score the other way...It was just one of those days for the Bills when things pretty much went bad at the most crucial moments...then it kinda snowballed in the 4th Quarter...But overmatched? I don't think so...Maybe overwhelmed at the thought of playing without TE... :censored:

Are you trying to tell me that the defense wasn't overmatched from the start? Granted they had to work with a short field but they were just awful. Not the end of the world mind you, it hurts they lost this bad but it may be a better situation for humility to get blown out. Agreed though that TE is definitely the heart and soul of this team.

You don't even need to take Warner out in Buffalo to have the loss be lopsided, Arizona can't win on the road. Good points, but I'm stickin by my earlier post - our offensive and defensive lines were overmatched, our corners were waay overmatched, so yeah not too far from overmatched from the start but appreciate the response.

  6. JP Losman caused the loss? You guys crack me up - by the time JP had his first interception the game was out of reach....he played a pretty good game, FOR A BACKUP. Let's be honest, that's what he is at this point. The coaches called SEVERAL draw plays on third and more than 5. I blame the coaches for not having confidence in the offense, which granted is justified but come on, how else are we going to win. I also blame the injury on McGee as being a HUGE hit to our team. But to blame JP????? Give it a rest.

  7. what we learned is that we were just not that good in this game. We were overmatched from the gun, and what we also learned is that we have a lot of work to do if we want to make the playoffs - 4-1 is great but we need to make sure we aren't 4-4 going into the game at New England which at this point seems very possible. Welcome back to Earth.

  8. A great example of a "Big Three" would be Aikman/Smith/Irvin, right? They also happened to have one of the top 2 or 3 offensive lines in the history of football.

This "Big Three" thing, while a good conversation piece, is not an end-all. Other pieces of the puzzle mean just as much, sometimes more. The 85 Bears are a good illustration of this.

Or look at the Patriots, Laurence Maroney is hardly a #1 back in the league, Giants have Plaxico, big deal....and what about the Ravens when they won the Super Bowl? Uhm.....Trent Dilfer, Jamal Lewis....and who was their big receiver? Good defense, I'll hang my hat on that.

  9. Hey, this might not be the right forum, tomorrow due to it being a 4pm game, my friends, who are all p whipped, will not be joining me for the game. question to anyone in Orlando that might be on here, is there a place for us fans to go? and if so please let me know

    Thanks

    Frogger

There are a few Bills fans that watch the game at Rusty O'Reilly's at Michigan and Orange. I generally go to Spatz in Winter Park to watch the game but I'm usually the only Bills fan there enjoying the game. I believe the Bills backers go to a bar near Aloma and 436.

  10. I heard it to.

This is why I dont think we lose......we almost lost to the Raiders last week because we were not sharp......but found a way to win

That is bad news for the rams because the bills know they didn't play very well.....and are PO'd

I am predicting a blowout....and I hardly EVER do that.

Agreed with your post John from Hemet. We almost got trapped last week, it's crazy to think Dick won't have his boys ready to play to avoid the same "let down" we showed through 3 quarters.

  11. It was a kickoff return...thought it was a punt. Oh well, 16 years ago, not bad.

    Link

Darn, knew it was a kick of some sort. I still tell people who care to listen about that moment and the Eagles game I was at when Cunnningham eluded Bruce Smith in his own endzone and bombed a pass that went for a touchdown. Two memories from when I was like 12 or something like that.

  12. Yes! I was also a great fan the Neon Deion's "The Bills are kicking our butts like 44 - 0" but I pick off Kelly pass and strutt my stuff down the sideline! This game is about me, me, me, me!!! 11/22/1992 Atlanta vs. Buffalo.......

Wow 1992 huh? I believe it was a punt return though....correct me if I'm wrong.

  13. I remember a game vs the Falcons in 92, we were up, at least 30 I recall, and Deion runs back a punt to pull Atlanta within 4 touchdowns...dancing and strutting down the sidelines as he got close to the goalline...unbelievable.

I was at that game.......I think that was their only score of the game. That was my least favorite game I ever saw, it was raining like crazy.

  14. Why? What will happen if we don't?

I agree with that sentiment....what happens if we don't take it one game at a time? I mean come on, everyone who is a true Bills fan has that skepticism in the back of their minds. I saw screw it, it's been a loooong freakin time since we've been any good, even if we go 0-13 the rest of the way (which obviously will not happen) at least we enjoyed the 3 weeks in the spotlight. Enjoy it now, it could last 5 years or 5 weeks!!
