  1. When Ralph declared that they'd be going after a QB next draft, I'd have had a SLEW of questions for him.

    1. Was he saying that because his GM, Buddy Nix, had told him that's what they would be looking for, or was Ralph deciding FOR Buddy what they'd be going for?

    - If Ralph is already willing to say that this rebuild will take a good three years, then why is the QB so important in the FIRST year after this statement? Doesn't Ralph see that a Junior QB like Luck might be worth waiting for and picking up a really superior DE or LB or LT this coming offseason? What has Buddy had to say about it?

    - Is Buddy Nix just a yes-man or what? Whose plan IS this, anyway?

    2. Depending on the answer to #1, I'd have asked just how much Ralph plays a role in everyday football decisions, to come out and declare, in OCTOBER, what the Bills would be looking for eight months from now.

    3. So Ralph is sending his GM on a scouting trip during the bye, eh? Does that mean that he doesn't trust his REGULAR scouts to do a fair assessment?

    - Given the failure over the past ten years to assess talent and pick up NFL-calibre talent, what role would Tom Modrak play in this sudden QB hunt?

    - Does Ralph even have anything to say about why Modrak is even still HERE? I mean, if Ralph is going to take the heat for "hiring the wrong people" (to paraphrase), wouldn't that include getting RID of said personnel? And if so, why isn't Modrak being sent packing? Doesn't Ralph feel that Modrak is responsible for the bad choices, seeing as he's the DIRECTOR OF COLLEGE SCOUTING?

    .....

not to tell Mr. Wawrow how to be a reporter or anything....

  2. LMAO the old man is a real piece of work isn't he? Hey it will take 3 more years, but you keep paying me money to line my pockets the next 3. I say !@#$ that. Next year if there is a season there are a TON of free agents due to hit the market and Ralph better !@#$ing well open up the pocket book.

I love how he says we must go get a QB, no **** Ralph? Fans have been saying that for years now.

Just the fact that the old a-hole came out and said that HE'S decided what we're getting in the offseason, regardless of what his GENERAL MANAGER might think, tells me all I need to know.

  3. Ralph, for christs sake, sell the !@#$ing team already. So now the GM is going on a scouting trip? Is this organization in kindergarten or what? HIRE SOME !@#$ING PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THE !@#$ THEY'RE DOING!!!!!!! This is !@#$ing CRAZY!

  4. Me crusading? I'm not saying who meets "moral" standards to play in the NFL. Would I like people to be nicer or better? sure...

Crusading for the bills? yup...guilty as charged. Been a fan since they came to town in 1959-60...its a shame to see what levels they have sunk to this year.

Bigger shame is the levels some are willing to sink to to see them succeed. Faustus much?

  5. I'm sorry I disagreed with the tree hugging dog lovers who dissed the prospect of signing Michael Vick.

Mike Vick is useless now and should be put down in the exact manner his dogs were when they got injured and couldn't perform. And anyone who defends him and degrades the integrity of those of us who want to live in a world devoid of wanton torture needs to be put down right there with Vick. !@#$ing !@#$.

  6. That is the whole problem, Chimp.

In NFL ownership families, normally the owner's heirs would have taken the reigns by now, and would have been heavily involved for most of their lives.

Ralph only had one child that had an interest in football, and sadly she is no longer with us. He has no surviving family members with any interest in this franchise or the NFL, except to line up and collect their paycheck when Ralph finally passes.

It is a very sad state of affairs.

Whoever is in charge if and when Ralph's mind goes, and at his age he almost assuredly has made a Living Will by now and set up his POA, needs to be pressured into action at this point, provided it's true that Ralph can't make his own decisions anymore and the real possibility exists that the folks he's left in charge are bilking him out of millions while sinking his company. If Ralph's stupid !@#$ing family doesn't care, then the !@#$ing NFL should, because this is disgraceful.

  7. The problem is Ralph is too old to change anything. He is surrounded by leeches in the front office that will just keep the status quo until he finally dies.

Look at the last two GMs, bringing in an old friend like Levy even though he is not qualified for the job, and then just promoting Nix from within and keeping everyone else like Brandon/Modrak/Littman/Overdorf, etc.

He's a dying old man, he is not capable of performing a search for a new GM even if he wanted to. I mean, who is even going to make the phone calls and do the interviews? It would be one of his Yes-Men, like Russ, and the leeches would never let anyone come in here that would shake things up too much.

It's sad, but it's really just a group of front office executive vultures preying on Ralph for big salaries with no accountability.

If that is true, then the courts need to get involved, because this borders on illegal activity, namely fraud, by these men, and a psychiatric evaluation of the old man is in order. If the same thing was happening at a toy factory, the toys would have obviously killed a bunch of kids by now with the shoddy workmanship and dangerous parts, and we wouldn't bat a single eyelash at the courts getting involved and shutting the whole operation down. That's what it sounds like needs to start happening at OBD, and Ralph's family is the group who needs to climb out of the shadows here and do something.

  8. Yea, hopefully fans will start to show their discontent more and more with this team as the season progresses. I won't be there, the 15 hour roundtrip from southern New Jersey to watch this mess has become tiring.

I was treated like a celebrity wearing that thing today. Everybody seems to agree the Bills have become near unwatchable.

I once saw a dude puke beer thru the mouth hole of one of those things. Hit the guy sitting in front of him right in the back of the head. !@#$ing hilarous.

  9. In New Mexico where I'm stuck they dont even HAVE deposits on cans and bottles yet! !@#$ing dark ages here. Hell, I have a job but I bet I'd make more on any Sunday night grabbing all those !@#$ing cans than I do in 8 hours at my regular job. !@#$ing GOLD MINE that place must be!!! Lucky !@#$ing homelesss people!

  10. What draft picks give anyone any confidence that Nix knows what he is doing? On a team with very little talent just one of this year's picks plays, and then only sparingly. If Nix is this brilliant football guy, how come he didn't get a GM job until he hit 70? Why did no other team try to hire Gailey as head coach since he was bounced from the Cowboys (and if he's an offensive genius, why did the Chiefs fire his rear end last year just before the regular season started)? Rebuilding done correctly starts with getting a front office that has a clue. There is no evidence that Modrak can find his rear end with two hands and a flashlight let alone a good football player. The only way Buffalo will see a winning football team again ever is if Ralph or his estate sells the team to someone who keeps the team in Buffalo. Otherwise it just won't happen under this ownership or front office.

    +1

  11. So far, the people poo-pooing the rumor have as much proof that it was false as Gabe has that it was true. Someone get some evidence that Glazer and his cohorts are trying to publicly humiliate the Bills with false accusations, or conversely, someone get a quote from at least one other team who wanted to talk to Buddy about Lynch but couldn't get him to the phone. PLEASE!!! Someone make this thread actually MEAN something!

  12. 1. Schobel was FAR better than alot of us (including myself) ever gave him credit for.

    2. These players are FAR worse at picking up the 3-4 than one could have ever imagined they'd be.

    3. George Edwards doesn't appear to know WTF he's doing with his players.

    4. Bruce De Haven is a shadow of his former self.

    5. Chan Gailey isn't nearly as good an OC as we were all led to believe.

    6. Ralph Wilson wouldn't know a good GM if one called him from Indianapolis and offered to come back and help him save face (again).

  13. No more feeling miserable after a loss on Sunday. When you expect the loss, you feel a lot better...AND the team takes one more step to real improvement! Win-win!

The loss itself didn't hurt as much as the sting of Kelsay's horrid play at 6 mil a season for four more !@#$ing years, and the rumor that Nix played his best Darcy Regier and failed to pick up the phone and try to get more for Lynch than he did. The news that the GM is a !@#$ing clown from Ralph Wilson's clown car, after all, is extremely painful for a guy like me, who resigned this SEASON as a wash, but did his best to reserve some hope that the guys Ralph picked knew what they were doing and maybe the healing would begin. But the train seems to STILL have no real engineer, what, eleven straight !@#$ing years now, and my hope is all but gone. THAT hurts.
