  1. I have never written about Mike Gandy. In fact, I think that's the first time I've typed the words.
  2. You now how to make a fella blush, Brad.
  3. My realtor was behind the wheel. Or I might've.
  4. We didn't bother looking upstairs on that one.
  5. Had a decent day on the trail. Thanks for asking. Might have found a winner in Williamsville. Looking heavy in the Southtowns tomorrow and going out again Sunday. Strangest thing I saw today: A place in Hamburg with a glass-enclosed, standalone shower. In the family room.
  6. If you don't like the thread, ask a question.
  7. And Bobby did see them coming when he got it.
  8. I don't recall the exact line, but Bobby was the one who delivered it.
  9. I guarantee you that blogger thought about this more than David Chase did.
  10. When I lived there, the Instant Replay on Sahara (just east of Durango) was a great Bills bar. It was by normal hangout when I lived there, long before I had any idea I ever would love to Buffalo. Bills games every Sunday, all the Sabres games and all the Yankees games. Wings were average, but the pizzas and strombolis were top-notch.
  11. I don't think he was killed. I think the director was trying to paint a picture of the high drama Tony experienced even in the mundane events of his daily routine, the high anxiety -- always wondering what's coming around the corner or through the door -- for the rest of his life.
  12. Mad Men is sensational, but I've missed too many shows. They're on my DVR. Dexter (and The Wire) have fallen under my refuse-to-watch policy because they're too far along. People whose tastes I really trust love both shows, so I know I'd be into them. My mom has all the Dexter shows, so next time I'm home I'll be starting it up.
  13. Get a Life was another one
  14. I don't watch Lost, but I have a personal rule about jumping in late on serials. I wish I'd watched it from the start. I'll probably pick it up on DVD at some point. Same with the first couple seasons of 24. Top five shows: 1. Simpsons 2. Deadwood 3. Sopranos (you know you write about football when your urge is to type "Sparanos") 4. The Office 5. Police Squad
  15. Not at all. He's disarming because he's never what you're geared up to expect. I enjoyed it.
  16. Glad you're enjoying the blog. Sorry there hasn't been much Bills stuff the past few days, but there was a nice run of Jets and Dolphins material. I have a column on Dominic Rhodes scheduled to run tomorrow. Hangartner's deal was for four years. He received a $3 million signing bonus. His base salaries are $1.9 million, $2.35 million, $2.55 million and $2.8 million.
  17. Brown mustard. Anybody who puts ketchup on a hot dog serves to be kicked in the nugget pouch.
  18. The Sabres used to hold their training camp in St. Catharines with no problems. And all of the Bills probably already have their passports and other documents in order for the Toronto series anyway.
  19. I have to admit I'm not up on the Bills' training camp contract. But I will look into it. As much as they've raved about the situation over the years, I would be surprised if they moved it. Although maybe they could put it in Hamilton.
  20. Sure. Belichick called me "Timmy" yesterday like we were old pals. I thought "Who is this guy?"
  21. The Bills do not publicly disclose contract offers or terms. When talking to those in the know, we generally speak in vague terms. I never did find out what Buffalo's final offer to Peters was precisely. As for the two other teams, I only know that one was the New York Giants but they weren't nearly as serious as the Eagles were.
  22. I have to admit I almost never watch the kickers. Sorry I can't help on this one.
  23. Another reporter, I'd hate to name him because I don't want people to think they're always "on the record" when they're around me, said the same thing. He wondered aloud if the Bills were going for opening-day conditions.
  24. Me too, now that you mention it. I was supposed to receive a copy of the Bills' media policy for this year and haven't yet. But most NFL teams are standard. We're not allowed to report on formations and plays (especially gadget variety). I don't think huddles would fall into that category.
  25. When I'm there, that's the type of stuff I will try to report. But I'm off to Foxborough tomorrow morning. I'm hitting three minicamps this week.
