1. I don't think it helps or hurts.
2. Maybe Obama's just waiting for Cindy McCain to "throw a grand" the way of her half-siblings.
3. Why would a non-elite, regular, salt of the earth, lunchpail guy like John McCain need to be defended by Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous host Robin Leach? Could it be because John McCain's a celebrity? No, that's impossible. I mean how does appearing in Wedding Crashers, 24, Saturday Night Live, Lewis Black: Taxed Beyond Belief, WWE: Raw is War, Regis and Kelly, The View, The Daily Show, Entertaiment Tonight, ESPN 25: Who's #1, Beyond The Glory- Ultimate Fighting Championship, ESPN Sportscentury, Listen Up! Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson, Rome is Burning, WWE Smackdwn, Late Night with David Letterman, and The Tonite Show with Jay Leno make one a celebrity?
4. Since when is bipartisanship bad?
5. So are you really going to try and compare the job performance and crisis handling of FDR, who was one of the best Presidents this country has ever had, with that of GWB? Really? If Bush was doing as good of a job as FDR did he could take all the vacation he wants.
6. Republicans should be careful what they wish for. If Roe is overturned they could stand to lose a lot of the state legislatures and governorships as abortion would suddenly become a major issue in state elections.
7. So Obama is financially responsible for all the kids his deadbeat dad fostered after he skipped out on Barack at the age of 2? The dude had at least 9 kids.
8. Wow, Bayh was 15.0 an hour or 2 ago and now he's 40.0!
9. Oh but according to you Rumsfeld would just have been getting in the way of all the work being done by his subordinates. Apparently GWB's "!@#$ing role" was to finish reading his children's book instead of finding out what Card meant by "America is under attack".
10. True but how else can you communicate with your mistress? I guess you can put a plant in your window like Bob Woodward did when you're feeling a little horny.
11. If that's true Rumsfeld deserves credit. I'm not sure if I'm missing some sarcasm here though. So his only choices were to sit there like a dope or to terrify the children by bolting out of the school like a mad man? Hahahahahaha, that was what I thought too!
12. I was thinking that too. I'm sure the issue of whether or not DHS politicized the terrorist warning system would come up if Ridge is the veep.
13. Look up the definition of spinning, moron. A situation he couldn't directly impact? What about authorizing the Air Force to shoot down any hijacked planes? Constitutionally he's the only person who can give that order. It's not the "image" of him not doing anything that upsets people it's the . Watch the video and tell me if that's what leadership looks like. Not once did it go through his mind "Gee, I should probably leave this insignificant photo-op and find out what Andy meant by 'under attack"?". That's leadership to you?
14. Wow, 81% of the oils futures contracts on the NY Merc Exchange are held by speculators!
15. You're spinning is out of control. So now your definition of leadership is stunned inaction?
16. Ahem, you're a little late to the party. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=70031
17. Haha, wow! C. Edwards was .5 yesterday and today is 9.0! I wonder if these pundits float these names out there to make people buy up their contracts? There's also talk of Montana governor Brian Schweitzer (sp?) being VP because of Obama's appearance schedule next week. Who knows. An hour and a half later and he's up to 12.0!
18. Hoyt is the embodiment of Albany bull sh--.
19. Bush himself- Well, I had just been told by Andrew Card that America was under attack. And I was collecting my thoughts. And I was sitting with a bunch of young kids, and I made the decision there that we would let this part of the program finish, and then I would calmly stand up and thank the teacher and thank the children and go take care of business
20. I wonder what Hoyt did to piss this guy off? As entertaining as this is I wonder if Illuzzi is breaking the law by threatening to publish more emails unless Hoyt quits his reelection campaign http://www.politicswny.com/
21. I don't know, maybe he would have liked TO HAVE BEEN BRIEFED ON WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON! What was the attack? Where was it? Was it a nuclear attack? What about the casualties? For all he knew we could have been in the process of being nuked to hell that morning. It seems like the only defense that you Bush apologists have left is that the President/Commander in Chief is really an unnessary position and anything that GWB could have done would only have gotten in the way. Be proud of the low standards you've set for the presidency.
22. I'm just pointing out how rediculous it is that right wingers condemn Obama and Kerry for being elitist and then turn around and supprt a candidate who is just as elitist as they are.
23. Do you even know what effete means? 500$ loafers is the very definition of effete. Your definition also used "out of touch", isn't not knowing how many homes you own and thinking that you need to make 5 million dollars in order to be considered rich a little out of touch?
24. Doesn't a state of mind where you're not considered rich unless you have 5 million dollars sound like elitism to you? What about wearing 500$ Italian loafers?
25. If someone whispers in your ear "your business is on fire", or "your wife is being attacked", or "your son/daughter has been in an accident" would you sit there for 7 minutes or would you calmly excuse yourself immediately? To the public, Card may be best known as the aide who calmly walked into a Florida classroom and whispered to Bush that America was under attack on Sept. 11, 2001. He was absolutely told that America was "under attack".
