  1. What's that comma for? How long have you been speaking English?
  2. This is hands down the most incoherent sentence I've ever been forced to read.
  3. Why would you vote to confirm someone you feel "legislates from the bench"? Please keep trying to excuse McCain's shameful pandering to the religious right.
  4. I love how McCain listed the 5 Justices who are for Roe v. Wade as Justices he wouldn't nominate because they legislate from the bench, but with the exception of Stevens (McCain wasn't in the Senate yet) McCain voted to confirm them all! Pander much??????????
  5. He played against who the other team put out there, you can't hold that against him.
  6. It's not complicated at all.
  7. That's because right wingers don't like hearing the truth and would rather vote for someone because he shares their love for jeebus. I think McCain would have been a damn good president in 2000. Today's McCain is another story.
  8. So how is naming your bus "Straight Talk Express" and calling yourself a "maverick" not impling that you're a "different" "Washington outsider"?
  9. I think that their is a big difference between "flip flopping" on a postion like NASA funding and "flip flopping" on one's core values and beliefs. I'll worry about "flip flopping" when/if McCain says we shouldn't be drilling offshore and Obama says we need to send more troops to Iraq. These "gotcha" stories are already tiresome and it's only August.
  10. I think Obama's only goal was to go out there and say that he believes in Jesus and Jesus died for his sins to head off some of this Muslim speculation while tiptoeing around the social issues like abortion.
  11. Meanwhile 8 years of a President who doesn't change positions has been terrific. "The greatest thing about this man is he's steady. You know where he stands. He believes the same thing Wednesday that he believed on Monday, no matter what happened Tuesday. Events can change; this man's beliefs never will." -Stephen Colbert on GWB
  12. McCain accomplished what I think he needed to do by emphasizing what kind of judges he'd appoint. I think he poured it on a little thick though to the point that he came of as disingenuous, such as answering the question "Which ONE SC Justice would you not have nominated" by listing the FIVE who support Roe v Wade.
  13. He was defending his positions on abortion, gay marriage, and stem cells to an audience of Evangelicals.
  14. You know what's weird is that on Wikipedia politicians have their religion listed in their little data box thing like football players have for their college and draft history.
  15. I know the standard rule is not to expect much out of a rookie WR until his 3rd year but what about CB's?How many rookies CB's have made an impact in the last ten years or so? What about in their second year? When did N.Asomugha (sp?) become such a good corner? Didn't Pacman suck as a corner his rookie year?
  16. Considering the circumstances I think Obama did as well as he could have but McCain was the winner saturday.
  17. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jws4AA6...3tZ-GAD92JH6580 Does it bother anyone else how politicians need to be able to express their faith in order to be elected? Wouldn't it be great if McCain or Obama got up there and said, "Look Rick, I only go to church every week because my wife makes me but I'd really rather be home watching NFL Countdown. I don't need to be lectured every sunday on how I'm going to hell." They'd have my vote!
  18. Another ZERO POINT ZERO...........
  19. Oh I forgot, "Clinton Bad".
  20. I'd imagine that you'd have no problem cashing a check from a program that looks like it was designed by Hugo Chavez! It must be nice to live in Alaska and be funded by the largesse of Barbara Streisand, Michael Moore, and George Soros while getting free "gubmint" money every year for oil that you've done nothing to pump. I'm jealous. Can you recommend some good neighborhoods that I can move to up there? This sounds like the ultimate socialist welfare state!
  21. How else should I have interpreted "my mother could have been President"?
  22. It can be inferred by your defense of Alaska reliance on federal entitlement programs that are funded by the taxes paid by your fellow liberals in California and Manhattan. I'm sure you also had no problem cashing that Alaska Permanent Fund check, did you?
  23. Obviously not a whole lot if Alaska is 39th in per capita federal tax revenue generated while Delaware (home of the credit card industry) ranks first.
