Carrington is going to take Kyles job. But that's besides the point.

I agree buddy's worst decision was chan. Or at least accepting chans delusional notion that fitz could work. They should have performed their "exhaustive" search for a qb three years ago. Hopefully better late than never.

As for buddy's picks I really don't have a real problem. The draft is like a box of chocolates....

Why would Carrington take Kyle's job? Williams, Dareus, and Carrington are all starting on the line. Carrington isn't taking anybody's job. He already has one right along side the other two.

How is that going to happen when Carrington is going to take Dareus' job. Dareus is going to eat his way out of the NFL. Did you see his fat gut? You wouldn't really make that bet would you? I would be happy to take your money.

Umm Carrington and Dareus aren't even playing the same position. They're both starting. Some expert you are.

  3. this pick always smelled to me like a wilson pick: knee jerk, off the wall, based on intuition, knowing better etc. if i'm correct, then wilson has no one but himself to blame. if it was the gm or coach, it still falls back on wilson for hiring such lousy ones. no pity here for being "stolen" from..

If I remember correctly, wasn't that all Jauron on that pick?

  4. Just put the guy on waivers and move on. He's too light to play middle linebacker anyway. He was getting run over in the preseason games. Bills need another inside linebacker to play next to Kiko.

He's a grand total of two pounds lighter than Kiko. And I don't remember one instance of him getting run over in the preseason so far. Can we stop inventing problems please?

  5. With the release of Lindell and imminent pronouncement of EJ Manuel as starting QB, the Bills now sport 5 out of 25 starters from FSU. The entire kicking game (P, K, LS), plus QB and LB (Bradham).

By my count no other school has more than two representatives on the starting roster -- NC State (Graham, Mario), Oregon (Byrd, Alonso), Texas (A. Williams, Goodwin).

I have a feeling some folks in Tallahassee might have a new favorite football team in the big leagues.

Manny Lawson is also from NC State.

  6. Outside of pre this season New England and maybe Philly and the Ravens, how many teams really have deep TE depth? If Jason Witten, Kyle Rudolph, or Tony Gonzalez go down, the next guy up is not going to be able to do anywhere near what the injured starter could do. There are only a handful of teams that have two TE's close to the same talent level.

Any time we have a depth discussion, it sometimes feels like people think we should have 3 all pros at every position.

  7. My office is on California right down the street from that lot, and I know that for the past year or two, the owner of the lot had been turning people away who didn't park there but wanted to use the walkway to the stadium. This is the first I heard that they would be blocking it completely.

  8. For all of you who don't want Kolb to be given the start have you ever considered that this is what he was promised when he signed? The coach and front office promised him a fair shot at the starting job. If they don't give it to him what kind of message does that send to every player on the roster? Players want to play for a head coach who shoots straight and keeps his word (it's what everybody wants from a boss.) It might seem trivial to posters on a board but this kind of thing is extremely important in building trust and team unity.

It also helps EJ out because if Kolb is given a fair shot and EJ wins the battle the team is his. You won't have players whispering that he was given the job on a silver platter. He will have earned it.

Really, this decision is win/win. EJ misses the first quarter of pre-season game #2. What quarter EJ players matters little but the above things do matter.

Perfectly stated. I was going to make the same point but can't say it any better than this.

  9. Now that Caussin has been released the roster now stands at 86. Knowing that we will need the roster down to 75 by the 27th, who would you elect to cut? Here are my 11. Nickell Robey, Brad Smith, Ryan Lindell, Torrell Troup, Lee Smith, Arthur Moates, Kevin Elliott, TJ Heath, Chris Hogan, Zach Brown, Demarco Sampson.

Did you just blindly pull names out of a hat?

I never ever ever ever have a dolphins player on my fantasy team. I'm in a 12 man league, with basically the same guys for 10+ years. There is one dolphin fan. And there is another life-long Bills fan besides me. I cannot and will not be caught dead with a dolphin on my team.

Exception: I might draft a Dolphin in order to trade him to the Dolphin fan. The dolphin fan knows this, and will draft Bills players in order to create a bidding war between me and the other Bills fan. But this all works out BEFORE the season starts. I will never have a Dolphin on my roster. It would make me physically ill to have to actually root for any dolphin to do anything to give me points.

Funny aside, maybe very telling about the difference between Dolphins fans and Bills fans. The Dolphins guy in our league has no problem whatsoever with starting Bills players. I'd rather be dead.

I take it a step further, and can't even bring myself to have players from any of the other three AFC East teams on my fantasy team.

Before his epic pick six, Jumal Rolle had a great pass breakup.

Also Aaron Williams negated what would have been a 3rd and goal conversion by blowing up Indy RB Donald Brown just as the pass arrived.

There were a lot of great defensive plays from the Bills side.

Alonso's breakup of the end zone pass to Fleener.

Manny Lawson had several strong plays.

Don't forget Mario absolutely undressing Constonzo for that sack early on. He was in the backfield before Constonzo even got out of his stance.

Don't know if you can say that because EJ is the only draftee who started this week and who's been getting the bulk of work with the first string in practice. It's tough to compare at this point. But it's looking like it will be between him & Geno for that race. I didn't get a chance to watch Nassib, but Tuel certainly had a better outing than Barkley.

Landry Jones crashed into his running back in his own end zone and went down like a ton of bricks for a safety.
