  1. I don't see the similarities at all. The biggest issue with drafting Maybin is he was/is a project. The BILLS aren't in a position to take on projects when there was tremendous value on the board when they selected.

I don't know if Maybin's a bust and frankly it's stupid to even waste the energy talking about it at this point. I do KNOW the BILLS made a mistake picking him, at a minimum in the short term.

All I'm saying is we write off players way to soon. I mean it's ridiculous. The kid is a 22 year old rookie. There is no point in talking about it right now, but I get sick of players getting slammed up and down this board.

  2. BWAHAHA! I really hope you're not implying Maybin will turn out to be anywhere near MW. More like Erik Flowers. I really cannot recall an NFL player getting as consistently tossed around like a rag doll as Maybin.

Guess we'll see. I have to laugh at all the experts around here though.

  3. Aaron Rodgers also benefited greatly from sitting on the bench and watching Favre for a few years. Contrast his development to that of his fellow draftee, Alex Smith.

Looking down the road, the redshirt freshman from Stanford, Oliver Luck (it's not Lock) is going to be excellent. His dad was a QB for the Houston Oilers for four years. He's big, strong, smart, and is getting great coaching at Stanford in a pro style offense.

I think we are ruling out Stanford QB's, along with Texas players, or anyone from California.

  4. I don't know how many of you watched the LSU game last night but Mallett was unbelievable, made all f the throws and then some. He is pretty statuesque in the pocket but the kid has a cannon and plays in an actual pro style offense. With a little footwork and the right QB coach this guy will be a star. Reminds me of Carson Palmer before he came out.

If he declares and is there when we pick its a no=brainer. Watch this kids stock fly before the draft.

    17/39 227 5.8 1 1 :)

I've watched him quite a bit this year and he's nowhere near the best qb in college, although he does have all the tools to be. IMO Clausen is far and away the best and he can step right in and start as a rookie. Mallet is raw and a bit of a project.

  5. I think we are an attractive job. We are going to have a high draft pick, but I think we are better than our record- especially with all the injuries. If a prospective coach likes one of those QB's coming out this year he will probably be able to get his guy with buffalo. I want Shanahan and Clausen!
