  1. This was long overdue, and reports are that Overdorf could be gone soon also.

The housecleaning should have happened when Pegulas bought the team. Long overdue.

Totally agree. On both operations. Brandon is the last piece to get the boot to completely change the culture of Buffalo Hockey and Football.

  2. Good for the Bills. I love how the PR department really doesn't have to do so much work. The Pegula's are making it easy on their employees. All they do is send the same statement every time, change the position, names, and switch Bills or Sabres. Good business model, saves them from paying the PR department guys to much for making new statements.

This was a good move but the never ending story of rebuilding is getting exhausting in both the "Hockey" and "Football" operations. It was good for Pegula to buy the Bills to keep them in Buffalo, however he is not a very good owner of sports teams. Hopefully McD will make it three years.

  3.

They haven't been rebuilding the last 18 years?

Sometimes, but this year they know it. Ryan came in like a wrecking ball, promising playoffs. McD came in saying he is changing the culture. He knows this team has a better chance of not going to the playoffs this year. Might as well rack up some picks for next season. But no one, and I mean no one, can rebuild the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.

  4. Peg stated he is not in win now mode during one of his interviews. Having the 4th hardest schedule rubs it in. With the salary cap, the 16 years with no playoffs and really no chance to win the AFC East with Brady and Phins leading, IMO the Bills are in slap poop against the wall to see if it sticks mode. They will put together something this year, hopefully MCD can do something with it.

  5. Fill the seats.

Field a decent product and the seats will be hard to come by.

Yeah that is the plan. But the Bills have a small chance of doing either in the first year under MCD. Whaley has the team up against the Salary Cap and this team is not one - two pieces away from glory. Add in a new offense, possibly a new QB, switch back to 4-3 D and players have to learn new systems. If McD fails at make a winner, then this team will be hard pressed into finding a decent coach the next time around.

  6. I don't blame ole Rexy one bit. I wasn't a fan of him being hired as coach but he put butts in seats with his BS and talking. You have to give him credit for going all in and the team should have given him one more year to produce with the amount of injuries this team had. I really wonder how the Bills are going to manage to fill seats this year. McD is not the bullish type, which is likely good for the long run, but the team will likely have a mediocre year at best and those Rexy talks which sold seats are gone. The Bills better hope they hit fire with McD or this team is going to look like the other team down the Lake.

  7. Every one is happy with this hire, but I'm with you. The OC job is important and right now they don't have one and no credible candidates. MCD will make it two years before he is fired and hopefully Whaley goes with him. But in the mean time Pegula has to start thinking about how to sell tickets to games. The last two years we had all the Rexy talk which put butts in seats. I don't think Pegula makes much money this coming season with this hire. But maybe if they hold on to MCD past two years the Bills can make the playoffs in 3-5 years.

  8. Yeah, folks forget that Lynn was just running a scaled back version of Romans offense, not his own. Would be nice to get a proven OC though.

Without a QB. Just let that sink in. Tyrod seems done in Buffalo. Whaley botched the contract on that one and there is no reason to pay Tyrod that much. RIvers won't come if he is let go; he will head straight to Denver with McCoy. So the Bills could pick up Fitzpatrick.

  9. Musgrave is the only one left. Plus the Bills dont have a QB. If they keep Tyrod, maybe they can figure it out, but it wont matter now. The Offense will suck and the Defense can only hold so long before they just break from being on the field to long. The Bills are heading to 18 and more.

  10. Which FO doesn't know how to file paperwork on time?

Which FO had a worse QB situation? Which FO let a SuperBowl caliber defense down by not addressing the QB position?

Report out of Denver is McCoy is working on a deal there. Maybe the Broncos upgraded to a digital sender. Now they can scan a copy over. I would take Lynch over Jones.
