A couple of guys THUMBS DOWN on my comment.

It wasn't meant for any disrespect for Frank Wycheck. But the Home run throw back play flashed in front of my eyes.

May Frank Wycheck Rest in Peace 🙏

I get it. I had season tix at the jags back then , even as a lifelong BILLS fan.  If the BILLS had won that game ( music city miracle) , they were coming to JAX and i am certain with that D, they would have beat the jags to go to the SB.

So we have the lead , i am watching at home in the exact same position in front of my tv that i watched wide right , and the comeback happen from , and I have a history og going to SB 27/28 LIVE BECAUSE i knew we had to win at least one in my lifetime!   IF WE WIN, i have tix in row 8, 32 yd line , right BEHIND THE BILls bench here in Jax stadium !

You can imagine my disbelief, my heartbreak , watching that happen.   In a few seconds my fandom and sports hobby world is forever changed for the bad , once again at the hands of my beloved BILLS!  You have to have experienced it, been thru it to totally appreciate that sickening feeling as wycheck throws the pass and DYSON, i believe, takes it with a convoy to the end zone to beat a much better BILLS TEAM.  Rob Johnson had come thru over FLUTIE; WADE was coaching so well, the d was playing great , the team peaking for a SB in 1999/2000  i believe to be the year. Then it all disappeared.  Plus , it was getting very expensive for the two club seat season tix i had since even before the inaugural season of the jags , and i had decided this was to be  my final year to keep paying so much to support the jags !   After all, it was just interfering with me watching the bills live on TV and despite living in Jax, i could never really be a jags fan as i had started following the bills in 1963!

So it happens. The following week i went to the playoff game here in Jax as my BILLS WATCHED in BUFFALO , where the titans led by McNair , came in and thrashed the jags to go to the SB!  There i was , behind the TITANS bench in Jax, now filled by many titan fans who obviously paid huge bucks to travel and come to Jax .  The titans went to the SB, PLAYED THE RAMS , and lost as they were tackled a yard short of the end zone.  It should have been the BILLS playing in that SB, and i think that D would have shut down whoever they played and I really believe in my heart, we would have gotten that elusive SB!

Yet , ITS 24  years later , and here we are.   We still have not gotten that SB;   And we were one off side , one call away from seeing A SIMILAR VERSION of THAT THROWBACK PLAY work against us and probably  end this years playoff hopes.   You have To have been in that time to fully appreciate the context of forever seeing that play shown over, and over, and over.    Imagine that play but now with KELCE/ TALOR SWIFT/ MAHOMES/ KC/ AND RAMPANT PERVASIVE SOCIAL MEDIA being present to glorify it in light of all the concerns / questions about mcds coaching and in light of the article and all things surrounding the bye week!  Seriously , i would have quit watching football this season, and being 66 years old, i might have considered not watching the BILLS much more as i have been thru and experienced all the SB’S and all the classic , horrific , stressful, memorable ways to lose.   Thank GOD for that one call !   LOL!

So , i get your respect for wycheck. I still feel the  same as it was a great play, and it saddens me to hear about his terrible demise.   If someone is critical of you mentioning the MCM, putting it to rest , they don’t understand.  You honor his memory by remembering his name and his association with it and BILLS HISTORY. He will continue to always be remembered for that play and by all accounts for being a good  person as well. There is no way i would believe you meant any disrespect.   I was there in spirit with you during that time. Thank GOD there was not a second version today ;  Bills fans of this generation don’t deserve to experience that type  of  emotional  pain.  For once, the ball and flags fell the right way, and we still have a shot at that elusive SUPERBOWL.   Merry CHRISTMAS BILLS MAFIA!

Wow, if not for that penalty , its was throwback 2. Holiday throwback.   Penalty saved mcd from infamy. Wouldn’t wish that on anyone . Esp us fans with kelce / swift replays forever.  Ghost of Christmas past,,,throwback past…..i almost saw my life flash in front of my eyes!

There's no way he 'ruptured' his achilles how fast he came back and was doing stuff on it - IMO was hugely oversold to push a heroic return narrative

Not true. He DID TOTALLY RUPTURE IT AND THE REVERBERATION OF IT SNAPPING IS VISIBLE IN HIS CALF ON Film.  The company that developed the speed bridge suturing technique, which anchors up the length of the Achilles, crosses above the tear , then anchors back into the calcaneus, provides enhanced tensile strength across the tear.  THEIR PROTOCOL CALLS FOR SPORT SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES at 12 weeks.  He is around day 80 , so he is just slightly ahead of expected rehab.

Also , because it was his left Achilles , it’s NOT HIS PUSH OFF FOOT, so there s much less stress to the Achilles while passing.   Nothing is being oversold as he is just slightly ahead of their expected timeframe for return to sports. He does have a slightly increased risk of “creep”. Where the tendon can slowly elongate, but because its not his push off foot , and he is much less mobile than other positions , any loss of power, dorsiflexion and plantar flexion of that foot may never show up as a noticeable loss of power or change for him.

He has vowed a return to play regardless of the jets record or playoff possibilities.  He is a fully informed , highly conditioned athlete, who has had to be told and sign a consent form related to all risk /benefit ratios. Is there a possibility he tears it again by returning sooner than expected , yes there is but it’s his choice.  He is back practicing which is CONSISTENT WITH THE PLANNED REHAB FOR THIS SURGERY!    This is not a joke, fluke , or overhyped result so far. It is not a brand new technique either and has a successful history in med literature reported in prior years. There are good explanations by physicians  available on YouTube by sports medicine drs if you chose to take time to view their presentations.

He is just on track from a rehab standpoint.  His true effectiveness is yet to be proven, but it was a LEGIT RUPTURE AND SPEED BRIDGE REPAIR.  Medical techniques are always advancing, yet results depend on many factors including patients age, condition, access to care and rehab, and existing conditions.  Personally , i have never been a fan of his arrogance and narcissism , but my opinion of him has nothing to do with the medical facts concerning his Achilles rupture, repair, and surgical technique used. Again, its not a huge , heroic return , but so far a story still in progress.

Is that it's becoming clear who the fair weather fans are.  It's amazing how many posts I am reading saying things along the lines of "If I watch the game it will be out of morbid interest" or "I'm not bothered by losses anymore, I can now skip watching and do other hobbies on Sundays"

Does our current situation stink?  yes.  Do things need to be done better by the organization? yes.  But to say you're not going to bother watching or don't care on a message board specifically created for talking about the Bills?  that seems ridiculous to me.  Why are you even on here then?  What can you hope to contribute to the board if you in fact do not watch the games.

I was here for the 80's, I was here for the drought, I was here for our recent success and I will be here until the end.  Not just when it feels good to say my team is great.

I get the negativity and the complaining.  This forum provides a great place to vent frustrations, both valid and ridiculous.  It's therapeutic.  Things are not rosy at all right now and we have a right to demand more.  I'm not calling out the critical or hyper critical fans.  It's the ones who are saying  "I'm not going to watch" or "my weekends are free now" why bother posting in the first place?  If you don't even watch your opinions are thus rendered useless.

When I was sure we were going to win the Super Bowl after smoking the Rams and Titans to begin last season I thought how I would be disgusted by those "Bills fans" that wore the colors but couldn't tell you what position Dawson Knox played or who was in the AFC east.  I feel those people are much in the same as those saying they are "done watching" or "have better things to do".  To me that "fan" simply does not care enough to be considered true Mafia.  You either celebrate AND suffer with us or you are not one of us

Sorry for the rant.  Go Bills

Some word association:  mandates; cancel culture ; sheeple; shaming; judging; myths; straw man argument;biased;rose colored glasses;homer;  dark tetrad; hypocritical.  Just had some words come to mind after reading “ I’M NOT CALLING OUT THE CRITICAL OR HYPERCRTICAL FANS”.  HMMM, REALLY?  Fans are who ever they chose to be regarding a team or sport. If only your criteria are THE CRITERIA TO BE A FAN, there are some great vacation spots to consider ; North KOREA, CHINA, Russia ; and there are so many more like them , great places filled with great fans of their great leaders who are  masters in thought control and they are all about freedom of choosing your lifestyle and happiness!

You are probably the GREATEST BILLS FAN EVER, so when the off season comes around , take a well deserved break and take in some cultures that ,,,well,,somehow make me feel you might enjoy so much you might stay awhile after explaining how to be the loyalist fan ever!  But at least you weren’t being critical and that’s really being an open minded fan.  ( last word association; oxymoron).   It is a great thing to be the perfect fan because that determines so much about how your team plays !  Hmm,,,5-5 must mean,,,,lol.

  5.       AS above.  It’s clear who wanted josh to change.  We all see the end product;  josh is now a very hesitant runner, that  gives us the final product which is already  2 games worse than last year with playoff teams coming up soon.   Brady cant fix or do much in a short week, and this is just a 7 game stint that is most likely a loss or draw at best for his CV.  No way i take that dump off job if I’m him , but ask to remain as qb coach or just walk. This team has a very deficient d and adding more losses to your cv with this move is just risking further jobs.

Unless mcd has some miraculous run, which we have no reason to suspect , Brady is just volunteering to share the future blame. Any positive change will be credited to mcd,  so for Brady, imo, it’s a lose/lose  scenario.   It’s not like josh or the o is suddenly going to play their hearts out for a qb coach who , in a way, by accepting this job is also in a passive way, backstabbing Dorsey.  Sometimes you need to be a man and  know when to show loyalty.  After all, he said how much he loved /respected Dorsey.  It is possible to say no, i would prefer to stick with my current contract. Time will tell , but i think it’s a bad career move. I was all for a new oc, but this is desperation and thought the move should happen at season end.

The writing is on the wall. Unless this dysfunctional group makes the SB, McD  should be gone regardless of injuries.  His defense fails early and late in games. Should they miss the playoffs, what do you do as an owner. Keep accepting regression, esp of your superstar qb?  Keep bringing in  New OC’S yearly?  No, and what can mcd add to josh playing better?  Nothing , based on the proof of regression.

PEGULA has one sensible move. Roll the dice on a new offensively focused hc to keep growing with your franchise qb , your best hope for a sb , just like most of the successful teams have done. If mcd is still here after not winning a sb this year, you are wasting a premiere qb and buffalo will just keep dreaming about ever winning a Lombardi , right up until josh leaves or retires. Levy just missed winning a SB: McD is not nearly as good a leader as levy and arguably , mcd had very close to the same talent level, yet we have 0 afc championships, let alone 4 in a row.

McD will not win a sb here ; worst game manager i have seen among coaches that were not total buffoons like Ryan , jauron, etc. The team might rally for a game against the jets , but that’s a low bar. Watch the post bye weeks , and I think that’s when we know what we have after this move.  I believe after the season its time to look for a better fit between HC/QB.  .

Good luck to our new OC,  but i think there is little he can do on a playmaker deficient , high turnover, currently troubled qb lead offense with  no consistent run scheme ( unless Brady turns to TD Lenny ) team with a really tough schedule ahead.  It’s just an opinion but i have very little faith left with McD., and its based  on watching mcd for almost 7 years now.

Addendum ; it’s good to know obj was talking with god before the game (his quote, i was talking WITH GOD, saying he heard him talking, not like in prayer , but, I wasn’t there so..) and obj asked god to prove to people he was supposed to play good tonight.  Man i hate creeps like this that cuss out people on a plane , needing police to remove them,  then tonight with cameras on becomes a fraud ,  hiding  behind his “religion”.  Of course , he had to be sure to put on all his jewelry just for the post game interview.  Not a “humble” man .    Never heard him mention his injured teammate , andrews , at any point either, just how to get diamond dental inlays.

This guy is what’s always been bad /fake about this sport now , compared to when guys played in the 60’s , 70’ s etc. because they loved the game. Fry me all you want as i have seen all i need to over years and this  guy is no one i could ever respect.  I have been around several religious men, none of whom i ever saw act like this clown. Sorry, just saw so many kids cheering for him as FITZ was talking postgame tonight;  pretty sure there are better people to emulate, and i will never understand cheering for this type of “ teammate “.

The Bills didn’t lose because of 12 men on a missed FG. We lost because the QB played poorly against a bad defense. I’m not saying to trade the guy, but that’s not good enough. Other franchise QBs don’t have games like that. Burrow threw for over 300 in his loss on Sunday. Mahomes doesn’t have games like this. Even Herbert doesn’t have games like this. He clearly saw a sport’s psychologist this offseason (low positive is right from those people) and it’s messing with his head. But in the end, I’m not sure he cares.

He just needs new hope , a new vision, and to get away from the indoctrination 0f the PROCESS!   HIS fire can come back.

No gut punch.  It's a shame this franchise seems to have squandered a 3 year super bowl window, but it has been clear for some time (maybe the last 19 games?) This team doesn't have it.

I was not upset after the bengals playoff game.  The better team won.

Last night was the same bills as we have seen for months.  No surprise.  They had no business winning that game.  Even if they won, it just keeps hope alive for another week and they could lose to wilson again.    They are not beating the eagles, kc, chargers, cowboys, or miami.

I am not disappointed because I have known for awhile the Bills are paper tigers

That blitz?  12 men? Bad ST play?  4 turnovers? The bills deserve that loss.  It's justice

Yep. As a long time fan . It’s just the norm , all but the Miami game was predictable and aa continuation from last year.  In a word, BILLSY !  Let’s hope they do surprise and clean house with new staff.  Mixed feelings on beane.   Time to move quickly to possibly salvage josh.

I know Josh loves golf and that is fine but it sure seems like he has not focused on training with WRs or development the last couple of seasons  as he has become more Hollywood. I don’t want to believe it and these guys definitely need an off season to reboot but I hope he gets back to training with Palmer and maybe throwing some with WRs.

Sorry, I’m in the medical profession so my analogies are related to things i know or have experience with. Every day i had to study to keep up.  When younger , after being paid 13k a year for 3 years in residency,  when i started private practice at age 27 and actually started to be more fairly paid,  i got a little loose partying and spending money a little undisciplined as my family had been coal miners in Ohio and i grew up quite poor.     I learned , fortunately very quickly from great older  docs, and a great  accountant, if you dont treat your career like being in training, work just as hard in the off hours , others will pass you by professionally and in business. There is always someone better, more gifted.

I didn’t like hearing it at the moment because of ego,  but 40 years later I have never been  sued in the litigious state of Florida, teach med students, residents, nurses, arnp’s and was a med director for several clinics.  More importantly , i can honestly say i never had a family ever come back and tell me , you missed something on my family member that hurt them.  I made some errors as we all do ,  but was honest and helped fix things. I pass those messages about continuous improvement to those younger who are just starting their careers.  I am eternally thankful an older vet/doc sat me down and was brutally honest as i was prob cocky having good credentials coming out of training. Taught me real life lessons.  Josh looks like he might be experiencing similar life issues, understandable given his young age and early success (hey I never made 250 mil$) and it seems he has admitted  he is not a big film guy. He grew with palmer as a mentor , but something is regressing , which is so unexpected.

He may have decreased  seeing palmer,  but maybe I’m wrong.  He has regressed noticeably , and some vet/ coach needs the balls to sit down and tell him what he doesn’t want to hear. When leading the league in turnovers , be honest with yourself ,,,is that good or fair to your team?  You need to be more professional ; never call out the fans who worship you; your  arm arrogance works less and less each year in the nfl.  How can a captain, leader not be the guy calling an offense only team meeting ? Terrible optics!  I dont  see Dorsey being that confrontational guy , esp since he partially owes josh for getting the OC position.

Maybe players like playing with you , doesn’t mean crap from yes men on your team, whom you give gifts to each Christmas, and they have no real power.  Look , maybe coaching is bad and ruining you ?   Then take charge of your career and  step up;   bring palmer or orlovsky or agent to meeting with you to talk w mcd/beane about solving this. Because right now it’s not working and you look very unsatisfied, and season is on the brink.  My point is , if you feel treated unfairly/badly josh, only you can fix it!   Careers go so fast; don’t keep wasting years, esp as you are in a position of financial power more so than the coaching staff.

Not excusing mcd or Dorsey who i now strongly feel must go next year. Process talk is stale.  If I’m an owner , this is second year w injuries and i think extension was to show mcd belief after terrible injuries last year w Hamlin as well.  That excuse prob wont cut it this year w terrible offense.  No excuse for the bad turnover issue or 12 man debacle. Josh appears to act like he is now untouchable.  Beane should be drafting a backup or see where Dobbs or better competition is to push josh.

Life experience does matter , been a bills fan since ‘63 , and imo , without a miraculous turnaround there will be no playoffs this year.  if I’m beane or the owner , I’m trying to salvage josh to sell those PSL’S FOR the new stadium. Play the year out but 7 years is a fair trial. Time to chance getting better.  Worsening every year is not a good strategy   Thanks for allowing me to vent. This is looking like a very bad year., and tough to enjoy. .

I agree in great part , but 12 men on field AFTER THE GUY MISSED AND WE HAD A MIRACLE WIN, IS WORSE THAN 13 SEC AND SORRY, THESE END OF GAME CHOKES ARE AN UNFORGETTABLE MCD SPECIAL.    What mcd win is more memorable than 13 sec, hail Murray, now 12 guys ?  That says it all.

  10. No they were not.  The 80’s, 90’s team were fun to watch.  This team was until this year.  Sadly every team has bad years esp with terrible injuries.  It carries over , cant separate special teams and o from d guvung us turnovers which have disappeared since London injuries.  Let’s be fair, not delusional.

  11. Open your eyes to the big picture. A win over the jets means nothing with the tough schedule ahead. This is not a SB, NOR  playoff game winning offense and the d is too injured to stop playmakers late.  Don’t be delusional.  They are losing now to the worst in the nfl.  Same pats qb that got benched AGAIN. Put up 29 on us with a game winning drive.  Outside Diggs /Kincaid, who puts fear in defense ; josh doesn’t leading league for years in turnovers. Good teams will destroy this team this year, sorry to be honest.

Coaching change may save next year but its looking like2025 is hope with new staff.

Keep saying hi we the reason, but NOOOOOO not josh.

He's a bigger, stronger Ryan tannehill

But didn’t you see from the great poster arguing how josh is playing the best qb in the league , and no one could prove him differently.   That hasn’t aged well just one day later. No sense arguing with a clown. who wont even listen to reason . Tried that before and that low brow couldn’t even be bothered to listen to a reasonable article about a topic i have expertise in , but i approached from simple freedom of choice. So yeah,, it’s not possibly on josh according to the great analytics.  However, those analytics don’t include w/l’s , common sense, or the eye test.   3 turnovers against a terrible team , leading the nfl in turnovers , is compatible with josh playing the best qb in the nfl.   Dobbs /stroud look better right at the moment.

Having said that, josh  is salvageable next year with a change in staff.  Even Greg from cover 1 finally calling for new staff.  Right now josh is either arrogant or playing dumb,,,certainly has arm talent.  This staff has peaked , no consequences for bad play from josh. Beane failed drafting any competition w Fromm. Dorsey cant get across to josh.   Mcd doesn’t want him to run.  They are ruining a good qb ,  i make a move , clean house next year. It was expectable to see this loss coming on late fg. I called it in game at 15-8 after stupid ending to first half. D collapse every game late if they have to make a stop. 12 men after missed fg worse than 13 sec loss.  Bad coaching just is the consistent thing with this staff. ANOTHER SPECTACULAR LOSS UNDER MCD !

I mean that makes sense.   Double what the cheap shot was that caused Hyde to be out this week.  ***** this league

Allen also complained about calls in the later pressers by talking about the grounding.   It’s well known the NFL fines and doesn’t tolerate talking about refs/ calls later.  Appropriately, haven’t heard him complaining about the fine , as I’m sure he can afford it if he keeps choosing to whine about calls. He ie becoming the Jason TATUm (Celtics star who complains of non calls almost every possession ,and has often given up fast break buckets while standing and complaining) of the BILLS. Just focus more on what you can control.  In addition, i find  it pretty ironic that  the team captain , qb, was NOT the guy calling an offensive players only meeting; maybe he knows not to throw stones if you live in a glass house. Just saying, he is playing ok, but he is just as an important part of the losses as he is a part of the wins.

Sorry, not sorry, but it just  seems desperate when a guy B’s about so many calls , and  at times he over acts so much , it’s like he was trained by soccer players to embellish calls.  Maybe turning to the refs begging for a call after every other hit and crying wolf so much results in not getting calls that ARE justified. It’s just a cheap tactic, so MAYBE stop looking for flags, read progressions better and maybe all the ints start disappearing.

Maybe it’s me , but I don’t remember guys like Kelly, elway, or Marino always turning to the refs  begging for calls.   It was a tougher time to play, and Perhaps because their offenses could get first downs and score without needing  ref help?   Qb protection has gotten to the point of absurdity. ( btw , don’t look now but the Texans are leading the bengals at half 10-7 ,STROUD w almost 200yds passing against the D  we put up only 7 going into the 4th quarter,  and we were never really challenging in that game despite the final score. Texans look to have great team speed and Cincy’s tight ends aren’t controlling the game like they did against our lb corp.  The issues aren’t just offensive , as the d has  fallen off at every level.   Throw in Minnesota playing great offense w Hobbs , and you wonder why our offense is “too complex “ for a guy like Hines to get snaps a year ago ; our team is in full meltdown)

Love the BILLS , but not a fan of excuses for everything now that we are losing , mostly by playing inconsistent, mistake , penalty prone football. Hold the complaining about calls cuz other teams seem to overcome things.  Hey , injuries ARE important too , just compare the colts giving up 6 to the pats today compared to our d giving up 29 and the game winning  drive to a qb who was benched again today.  This team has many issues ( as the Texans go up 20-7 in Cincy as motor ram one in ) and I’m very skeptical any player only meeting turns this around. Even Nate burleson picked the broncos in tomorrows game, wow, just seems like a down year!   How can coaching at all levels not be an issue if the bills miss the playoffs?

    Holy smokes, dude.

Just was up late, unfortunately having been in a lot of discomfort as 5 discs Have collapsed im my cervical spine , trapping my cord and surgery was not successful in getting any feeling , except dysesthesias  ( permanent feelings of numbness superficially coupled with the feeling of pins and needles in my upper extremities. as if your limb fell sleep that persists 24/7 .   Not complaining as im still walking , but ironically my friend .the neurosurgeon , who is the reason i can still walk, rolled his minivan in a freak accident , killing one of his twin 12 yo daughters   and  his own cord was severed , resulting in his becoming a quad.  It’s been a few years but the holidays are the anniversary of his tragic loss.  No history of trauma to my neck, just discs collapsed with no warning as my left leg gave out while walking down a hall to see patients. The typing which is poor on a iPad with its spell correct, was a distraction from the discomfort and i have great empathy for Hyde. . Unfortunately i require pain management , but our gov has outsourced many med s to other countries and at least in fl there is an unpredictable shortage.  Advil and tens units sometimes just aren’t enough and i didnt mean to be cranky  or share too much).  Been a bills fan since ‘63 , and they are great entertainment.  I tend to be a realist, heap praise and have had great respect for mcd.  But Also see nothing wrong with constructive criticism.  I’m 66 , been to 2 super bowls when younger . 27 and 28 , and reality is time may be running out for both the bills and myself regarding a sb title.  Lol, that’s life!

It just strikes me as a possible  wasted year with a franchise qb that we can prob agree is not a common luxury to have. I like mcd , but i just wonder  if anyone else ever tires of the constant coach speak , as it’s not like he is guarding some great secret to success while the team is faltering. It really means nothing in real life , but on the other hand it might be entertaining if mcd occasionally came out from behind the curtain and was occasionally genuine. Many would be understanding which could help his longevity. Reporters have a job to do as well, and they really are frustrated with the rhetoric and it seems unnecessary to be belicheck jr.   Levy was a great coach and i enjoyed his communication style and vast knowledge of history and he seemed to be a very good leader. Like he said , winning cures most issues , and if you dont watch many content providers , its either doom or a 180 flip insistent we will be 13-4 and afc east champs even now. It’s hard to find rationale thinking that the results will prob be somewhere in the middle. Try having a civil conversation and see how that goes.these days.

With mcd , It just seems odd this year , as he has more control, the beat reporters  are saying cracks and leaks are appearing. It’s only an observation , yet  the qb seems a little edgy as he even critiqued the fans who adore him. It’s just a study of behavior that interests me. However , any critique of the team , even from a loyal, respectful  fan of 40 plus years , is met by personal attacks and name calling , even when just kidding or being sarcastic to lighten the mood of those who might take the season results a little too seriously.  This board was always a great place , and i have met several friends on my time here.  Now , if one offers any critique ( despite the many calls for mcds and Dorsey’s jobs) , it’s personal attack time and rude name calling. It’s just the internet so why be bothered?  Well , it’s a slippery slope of lost civility.    Hey , all im saying is i miss a quality product from a hobby that i enjoy and has some health benefits for me  ; very high pressure job and sometimes change is progress for everyone. Best wishes !

Definitely not good. At the same time, I’m eager to see how that changes once the new guys acclimate and start playing more. Maybe we’ll even see Miller start getting back to form before it’s too late.

Holding the Bengals to 3 points in the second half last night could be a sign of things to come.

Mcd is having his worst year since he started.  Let’s forgive the injury bug, but small and fast guys on defense seem to get injured just as quickly as thEIR 40 times.  What happened to earning your snaps ?  I get Von is paid 120 miL to spectate, but he didnt even know the teams record was 5-3 prior to the game in an interview. Not engaged enough to know the actual record despite all the podcasts , endorsements and providing cute sound bites like dont blink!  Maybe at least dont blink long enough to actually know the teams record you now have 120 mil $ paying for your podcast equipment and chicken feed. Is that too much to ask of a ‘superstar”?

He is less than a year out from the acl repair and so far his  main contribution has been failed recruitment of every other aging star searching for one last bag ’ and i did see him biting or grabbing the ankle of a qb in one game , ala Monty pythons black knight who was limbless yet yelling he would bite the other passing knights kneecaps !  Nothing of significance  since the injury. That’s ok and to be expected at his age and less than a year fro surgery.

BUT mcd preaches earning snaps and you can not convince me had they not made the desperate 120 mil $ deal for a vet, he would never in any other  scenarios be out there actually making the defense worse if mcds philosophy was consistent and his actions meant more than his obsessive dependence on vets over developing younger talent. You  dont think players are aware of these inconsistencies?  Especially as the losses mount? You could tell at practice and certainly within one series, if he does not belong on the field yet in crtical game situations , like last nites last series, there he was being beaten .  Stats  don’t lie , but  mcds coach speak is getting more insufferable. 2 guys off the street looked more in place than Von did AT THIS TIME    It’s not consistent with his process message that is also wearing extremely thin.  This whole process now rings  hollow and the results dont lie, this team is at a crossroads as they, imo, are very unlikely to make the playoffs and even if they somehow do, this is by far the team most likely to make a one and done appearance.  They are what their record says they are now as we are past the halfway point. It’s not like i am making some profound hot take; every analyst who saw the bllls as SB CONTENDERS LAST YEAR, HAve  all referred to them as frauds, pretenders with no identity, and almost ever one Has agreed their SB WINDOW HAS OFFICIALLY CLOSED!  Hey , in josh’s vernacular , these guys get paid too!  Hard to believe they are all misinterpreting what they are seeing.

New guys on defense are irrelevant to this putrid , faceless offense , and TD Lenny will in all likelihood go the way of last years RB addition ,,,maybe catching a few passes because Dorsey ‘s offense will prob be too complicated for the Lombardi winning TD Lenny to displace cook, or our two other powerhouse backs. Once eliminated , TD Lenny may somehow end up on the ir once he realizes backs and Dorsey are oxymorons!  Yet , i still saw some content providers expecting us to finish 13-4 or with a flurry where we are favorites from the wildcard spot or still win the east. Talk about seeing the glass as half full; i don’t think that’s meant to be meaning you drank the firs half before your podcast!  Lol.  Gotta laugh or you are going to make yourself sick.

Delusions are difficult to eradicate.  It’s in reality a bad year , with bad injuries , but i dont understand the disconnect that allows some to believe josh Will stop leading the league in ints and go two games in a row without a turnover; i mean its a trend since 2018 if i am correct. I really like him as an athlete , but this coaching staff has turned him into a joyless , indecisive , defensive PR machine for a head coach obsessed with process, yet terrible with game time decisions and one of the worst at challenges , blown time outs , and a leader of one of the poorest tackling and idiotic penalty producing teams this side of jauron and REX Ryan.  The big question is in the face of needing funding to continue for the new great stadium , doe PEGULA have the balls without his beloved , fully functional KIM (GODSPEED) to make the decision we all see is needed before we are forced into another decade of journeyman QBs, and mercifully hire an offensive minded coach

.  Let’s  see what beane might be capable of out from under mcds thumb.   It’s tough to face these things , but its folly to ignore them and bury ones head in the sand as the fins, bengals, ravens, eagles, chiefs , jags all keep making a strides with creative offensive play calling and we are stuck adding more assets  to an overly inflated d line , backed by dbs that hold or get flagged for pi routinely on third and long and blitz leaving Po or Hyde trailing receivers at least once a game as we now give up copious explosive plays.

It’s not jet lag , it’s coaching lag now, and the best solution is letting it play out , and realizing its only possible to progress with change!  Remember . No qb /coaching duo has won  a SB  if they didnt do it within 5 years.  It’s not hyperbole that this window has closed, and its time for those new hurricane proof windows heading into that new glorious , well deserved home for the greatest fan base of them all ,,,aka the MAFIA!  We all endured  4 straight SB  losses , wide right, music city miracle , 13 seconds, at least one Hail Mary , playoff blown leads , and not one recent SB APPEARANCE..  COME ON MAN , IS IT REASONABLE TO BE ASKED TO HAVE TO ENDURE MORE NONSENSICAL PROCESS TALK AND A OFFENSIVE MIND WHO GOES TO A SHOTGUN RUN ON THE HALF YARD LINE?     Remember , no one is twisting your arm to buy the probably required seat license fees just to have the chance to buy a seat to endorse being one of the few franchises to have no Lombardi trophy to display at their  glorious venue. The teams STAYING IN BUFFALO. As the saying goes, much is expected to whom much has been given!  It’s the BILLS TURN TO GIVE , AND FORGIVE ME MCD , YOU ARE A WONDERFUL MAN, PERHAPS GREAT DC, BUT YOU HAVE BEEN SURPASSED AS A HC.  HEY, EDMUNDS LOOKED OK AS A LB UNTIL WE TOOK THAT CHANCE AND LOOK WHAT  POSITIVE a  simple CHANGE MADE.   This franchise is treading water now, it might just flourish!  Best wishes , enjoy each game as the season flies by.  Have fun , dont attack others as no matter how you slice it, there’s always two sides! It’s harder to think, that’s why so many are judgemental.  Nothing like reverting to  name calling , right mr unlimited bettor?    Too funny!

The offense was bogged down in 2021. The team was 7-6. The difference is Miami, and the Jets are better than 2021. On the bright side the Bills have a better running back Cook > Singletary, and tight end Kincaid > Knox. The issue is the defense is banged up. Our starting field position is worse and our defense is being drove on resulting in zero margin for error for the O to operate. All the more reason for the offense to play uptempo and play more aggressive.

Zero margin for error; sounds really plausible and just where we want to be. Probably the plan all along. Just like losing is a great wake up call.  Or this’ will be a get right game. Everything we want is still right in front of us.   I cant do that anymore (ints).   We will watch the video and learn.  We are still finding our identity. The other team gets paid too. It’s hard to win in the NFL.   ,,,,oh yeah , we need to play complimentary football!    Yep, seems like old times and we will flip the switch really soon.  We have just not been aggressive enough.   God bless you, your are a glass half full guy!  The world is better when more half fulls , fill the place!   I’m half full about that, really!

Can’t wait for his cliche answers … win or lose

He has become belicheck with his canned responses; yet he has won NOTHING more than 3 afc east titles after Brady left and the fins and jets were totally rebuilding. Even that modest streak ends this year    His passive aggressive style/ arrogance where he doesn’t even respect the press or fans enough to offer some genuine humility or offer some candor has gotten beyond galling.  He is losing the team and community support. People are patient when you win or deliver. His process crap has grown stale . Especially given the multitude of horrible game collapses without 1 afc title.   I gladly tolerated losing 4 sb’ s because it was unheard of to go to 4 in a row. We were respected as a team and landed several players, a coach, and a gm in the hof.

This obsessive compulsive fixation on “the growth process” has resulted in a joyless brand of football where players are taught not to get too high or too low. Well , in medicine , that’s a flat affect state and is far from normal.  Try taking the joy out of your work on a day to day basis , and see what you achieve.  Look no further than the low positive state josh now thinks he performs best in. Mcd might have ocd,,,,many highly successful people do have those traits.  When he has no control , like in game new situations, he has proven he tends to fail in some spectacular fashions.  One thing is certain, he needs control and its his way or you’re DABOLL!

Im happy he is leading a successful life, but something seems lacking in the success of leading this franchise to its logical next step , and mcds response was to assume more control.  Obsessing over more decisions doesn’t seem like a good lifestyle choice. I’m just making observations , certainly not diagnosing anything.  Is it me or does the whole organization seem to lack passion and a cohesive direction at this juncture?  Interested in your thoughts,,,,didnt realy seem like many players were angry about losing tonight.

Great team, and they could absolutely beat us on Sunday.

But what's the deal?  Reading this board, we seem to have little to no chance.  If I just went by the posts here, I'd think Cincy was the top team in the league, and unstoppable.

The Bills have lost as many games as the Bengals.  Our losses were all close. Basically down to a play or 2.  The Bengals have been absolutely blown out - twice. Against the Browns and Titans; not exactly world beaters.

"Burrow's calf was hurt" seems to be the main excuse.  Kind of like JA's UCL the entire 2nd half of the 2022 season, or his shoulder much of this season.  Excuses are just that.  That team has gotten blown out - twice.

This is as even a match of good teams as there is in the NFL.  Let's take a break on the doom talk.  Their struggles have been very similar to ours this year.  This should be a great game.

This aged very well, just as predicted.  Obviously you should try watching some other teams play besides just predicting bills results based on past years and thru rose colored lenses.  Bengals were peaking coming in if you had even bothered to notice, but you chose your bias of we are overrating our opponent.   The only overrated team here for the majority of the season , and it’s getting predictably worse, is the BILLS.

SORRY, but called this easily going all the way back to the Hamlin game when this signs of offensive disarray were already showing up.  Almost lost to a depleted fins team at home prior to this same bengals offense embarrassing us at a home playoff game.  Outside of the outlier dolphin win, this team has been spiraling on offense , and to be fair, no team can overcome losing 4 pro bowl type starters on defense while breaking in a new ILB and dealing with two great safeties who should have been replaced.  It’s only going to get worse looking at the schedule

.  But, yeah we gave the bengals too much respect.   Hate to let you know but the broncos beat the chiefs, but that’s probably giving them too much credit.  Probably another “get right” game we have been being told about For the past month.  That comment about burrows calf really stands out as quality analysis as well.  Looked pretty healed tonight as he ran for first downs , but I doubt it had any effect the first three weeks when he couldn’t push off. Save this analysis for your archives’/ memoirs when writing about mcd bringing a Lombardi to buffalo!    Not trying to be harsh , but reality is a good thing to dwell in.  But hey , you played by Tsw rules where any constructive crticicm of the team is frowned upon or canceled, so carry on.

  19. So yeah, the commanders just beat the lowly pats in New England.  How bad does that loss to the pats look now?  Yeah, pretty BILLSY.   THE chiefs and fins played a great, energetic game today in GERMANY.  Not one mention of jet lag affecting the quality of play.   Yet for two weeks all we heard was how travel was badly handled, even tho the chiefs also got in on Friday, and we had to suffer the excuses of how the bills started w no urgency and that carried over to the bucs first half. YEAH, that is BILLSY whining that you seldom hear regarding other organizations.

And , after Aaron rodgers goes out on the 4th play, our vaunted team proceeds to lose to a Wilson lead team , who literally had a questionable future with the jets.     We lost on the last play to the pats after having the lead , giving up a 75 yard TD drive to Mac jones , losing on the same play to a te that we barely defended against the giants , winning on the last play that game to a vastly inferior roster.  Yeah, that’s BILLSY.  After giving up two Hail Mary passes  in prior games, we just let another one hit the ground with a buc just a head turn away from a winning catch as BILLS players like Poyer were lying on the ground.   Yep, that’s a BILLSY THING

13 seconds.  BILLSY thing.  Wide right, BILLSY THING.  Losing a 16 point lead in the playoffs,,,,hmmm,,,BILLSY THING. Let’s not mention the other 3 super bowls.

MAYBE, someday BILLSY  will be an adjective or synonym for greatness. Right now it is what it is and it fits too well. THEY CAN CHANGE IT, FIX IT , REAPPROPRIATE IT!  Let’s see which way the pendulum falls tonight.  If its a 1 possession game , and we lead but the D has to stop BURROWS,,,,,mmmmm, just saying right at this point in history ,,,,,my faith is on the BILLSY thing.  Lol.

Lighten up man,,,it’s just a wonderful distraction for so many weeks.  In the end ,,we are just seen as all pro coach oc’s who have no reasonable clue how to judge good vs bad play and we are not part of their fraternity.  They do appreciate donations tho to their foundations or any activity where they are financially rewarded  to do the really strenuous work of sitting and signing objects. Heaven forbid we jokingly describe a human beings acceptable , occasional foibles as being BILLSY!  AFTER ALL, they only deserve praise.  ( forgive the tongue in cheek stuff,,,but real hero’s like good parents deserve  more attention than the original ludicris poll)

  20. Sorry, but on replay, there is a plethora of stupid choices by a roster plagued by undisciplined play.  How many times are guys grabbing face masks, making contact on third and very longs?  Not like this season is some outlier.  Some franchises seem to actually play more intelligently. Critical drops, routes running into each other, and players more worried about their post play celebrations have found little consequence with this staff.  Thurm rarely did selfish things, Talley led by example. Today after a pick the dbs have to run for their instagram pose. Maybe someday they will grasp its about team. It’s all about my rodeo dance now,,,,Bernard gives me hope as a TEAM leader.   How bout expecting more from the players than the refs?   Hmmm, unique concept.

  21. Tomlin just wins baby, trends, stats be , well you know! Only 3 coaches for a reason. Guess who also has led a team to 5-3?  Every week on here , it’s only the W that matters in a week to week league.  Qualify a W here at your own risk , so seems hypocritical to degrade a steeler W.   Just saying. Can’t have it both ways,,,,can we?    Asking for a friend!

  22. JUST THROWING MONEY at two “names” does not recreate BUTKus  AND RICHARD DENT.     I guess refrigerator perry and McMahon are next in line ,,,,,like line dance reruns of the SB shuffle!    Gm is playing w Monopoly money.   Got to admit i love seeing edmunds running alongside a screen pass cuz at 6’5” he is too valuable preventing crossing routes and his waist towel hopefully never comes loose from his belt. Best looking non hitter in nfl history.    Looks fantastic fixing his dreads and gloves after every play.

Butkus is rolling and urlacher just yanked out his transplants.  Fields is the antithesis of McMahon as a leader.   Amazing How the black and blue division, Well Chicago, has  gone from Windy City to little red riding hoodville, in a straw venue.   All they need is to bring on their past mayor in the role of singletary eyes!   Good thing they have great hospitals like RUSH, cuz da bears fans are going to be filling the ers up with coronaries as they down brats flushed w pitchers of green beer. Well. They had’85 And that win over grogan and the pats!  Seems like yester………,,,40 years ago!
