I will believe it when I see it.....the Cards are out now, why would he not interview?
Because like Shottenheimer, Harbaugh & Cowher he has OPTIONS and doesnt need to risk his reputation by taking the dead end position of HC of the Buffalo Bills.
-
If Billick were coaching the Bills he wouldn't put up with the organizational ineptitude without pushing back and making it very public.
-
He is a minority that has been pased up for other HC positions, he will not play hard ball or decline.
-
Harbaugh would have made an excellent coach. This debacle has been by far the most embarrassing and lowest point in Buffalo History. This franchise is in real trouble.
However; Leslie Frazier is Tony Dungy's first choice for a coach.. this says alot. Sign him quickly.
-
And has declined... according Casserly.
-
Your doing a nice job of convincing yourself... facts are, he is the only coach on the Bills list that will take the job.
-
Its time to accept reality.. its likely Leslie Frazier. Will somebody please help a brother out and tell us why I should be excited. We have got to catch lightening in the bottle here.
-
This organization is completely mis managed. We had a 6 week jump on the entire NFL and didn't do anything until December 31st.... and it was an internal hire!
With the nineth pick in the NFL draft the coachless Bills select...
-
The denial from other candidates is making the Billick option more attractive. Not because he may be the only one left... but because he would come with a huge chip on his shoulder. Always a big motivator. The Coach nobody wanted with the organization nobody wanted... starting to look like a nice marriage.
-
This could be way off, but I think the only reason Fox isn't interested is because the Bills spurned him when he interviewed here back before Greggo. I don't think it's reflective of how the organization is viewed elsewhere. It's just his grudge against Ralph.
But again, that's speculation.
Everyone is reporting that Ralph is willing to a big salary.. assuming this is correct.... its absolutely the reputation of the organization that is turning good candidates away.
-
He sucks, past prime not motivated, not a fit for Buffalo.... no way!
-
He is going to be the new coach at USC
-
When has Bilick gone on record as being interested in the Bills job?
-
The Bills need to pay both Brian and Marty 5 million and end this saga...
-
The Bills need to pay BOTH Marty and Brian Shottenheimer like top flight Head Coaches to have a shot. With a 2-3 year plan to have Marty retire. This is the only way to get either of them here.
-
Why? What team is going to hire coaches out from under the Bills? Bills are in a unique position to just sit back and take their time - even if that means waiting until after the Super Bowl to make sure they get the right guy.
The Jets are a stacked team, with Sanchez in his second year they are sure to be good again. He is in the #1 market in the country and has already said he is happy. He stays another year and next year he will be the hotest available coach on a year where there are many good teams/organizations looking for a coach.
-
He is not going to come to Buffalo, and with the Jets moving the Bills would not be wise to wait on his availability.
-
WTF does Cowher mean by commitment to paying for players? Granted Cash to cap needs to be scrapped, but overall we are near the cap each year. Our problem has been giving huge contracts to guys that aren't worth them
We have overpaid for 2nd tier free agents the past few years. Historically we are short of our cap and let good players go because we dont want to pay them... Peters, Winfield, and Williams are just a few examples.
Cowher needs to get a commitment in writing that the Bills are willing to pay for players and coaches or else this just could be another Marketing move and not a true commitement to winning. Like it or not we are fightting against Ralphs reputation in the league.

McCoys interview at the end of the game showed poise and character. I am not a fan of players talking about their faith during interviews... but under the circumstances it was appropriate.
-
Have any of our OC or DC in the past 10 years gone onto being HC in this league? This is a huge advantage of bringing ina tenured coach with a Super Bowl. He is connected.
-
Has Billick actually gone on record saying he wants the job?
-
If Shannahan was still available Wade would still be on the hot sheet. He is now safe.
-
I wasn't all that impressed with Rolando McCain last night. He might be a product of a great system loaded with talent. I dont think there is QB that is a slam dunk. If we are moving to a 3-4 look for them to draft to fill holes... probably need a big run stuffer.
-
Billick will be able to assemble a top notch staff. Put a first time coach in Buffalo and he has no shot of getting good coordinators. This in itself is reason enough to hire him.
The Statement That They Have Their Guy

Cowher was the Bills guy... they were naive enough to think he would accept just because RW waived big bucks in front of his chin. The front office is in complete scramble mode, they are lucky that Frazier is available. I am starting to really dislike the Nix hiring.. he couldnt get his buddy Shottenheimer or his son to consider the job. We need somebody that is highly connected and respected within the NFL in order to compensate for our highly disfunctional organization.
