Bufcomments Posted December 31, 2008 Share Posted December 31, 2008 Well you can thank the Detroit Lions for the mess we are in You see, ole Dick was interim coach for the Lions at the end of the 2005 season . Guess what , the players loved him as well. So much so that most of the Lions players the last week wore old Jauron jerseys from when he played, i think he played for the Lions back in the day in the 70's .( I think he played for them, somebody correct me if im wrong) So they really wanted him to stay, much like the Current Bills players do Thing is ...and here my point, that after 5 games the LIONS... Let me repeat, THE LIONS did not want to hire him as head coach after that 5 game stint.
