soldier
Since we spent 49 million and 18 million in guarantees on a above average guard, my question is this: How much will it cost to re-sign Lee Evans, one of the top 10 WRS in the NFL???
billybob
Evans is signed through 2009 Losman is signed through 2008 if I had extra cap room after our free agent signing I'd offer a couple mil now to extend them an extra year each.

I'd extend Evans ASAP. If JP is signed thru 2008 that gives us 2 years to work out a deal. As up and down as he'd been (/ducks the flames) I'd wait another year before offering him the $$$

If he's been up and down(/no need to duck flames - immunity for this post), then we should extend him now. Why would we want to wait until he has a killer stat year and then sign him? IF we get him now, and he stinks it up(/as doubtful as that is - why I have immunity:)) he costs us a hell of a lot less than if he does well and we wait to extend him.
