Chavez comments yesterday

My point is that libreals are wrapping their arms around a man who is guilty of nefariously controlling the country's oil interests and rigging elections, two of the "rallying cries" and accusations of the left against the right.

"nefariously controlling the country's oil interests"? How is he doing this? Should he not have any say in how Venezuela's oil interests are used?

As for rigging elections, forget it. The observers at the elections certified them as free and fair and I have more faith in them than in people or organisations with obvious axes to grind. Besides, Chavez has no need to fix elections - he has massive support from the poor in Venezuela.

Wow, haven't been around here since BiB passed on and now I know why. You liberals fail to be stimulating or entertaining.

Chavez' speech yesterday and the warm reception it received should be the final straw in the US efforts to rehabilitate what is a terminally ill patient -- that being the UN. It is an impotent institution, and a discgrace to the world. It is time for the "non-aligned" nations to form their own little boys club and become self-sufficient (e.g., stop taking US taxpayers money as aid only in turn to bash us for being an evil civilization). It is time for the "aligned" nations get on with addressing issues.

I was actually disappointed, listening to Bush's speech, when he warned the UN again that they risked irrelevency. I thought they achieved it over Iraq, frankly.

I could see GW Bush running around screaming like Cartman did when Jimmy and Timmy! fought

Cripple Fight!!!

Everyone realizes the "Cripple Fight" from South Park is completely lifted from the movie They Live, right?

The fight is identical blow by blow, except with cripples.

Which is awesome. 0:)

Chavez is an idiot, the ultra left likes anything that opposes Bush and I can't say I blame them, the stupidity is Chavez doesn't help anything and once again Carl Rove has arranged an election scenario that is a stroke of genius. The timing of all this and letting Chavez's nature play out and then blamming it on Liberals. More 911 conspiracy.

Either way so what...the U.N. is irrelevant in part because the U.S. fails to learn under W's WH how to do coalition building. So a few irrelevant leaders want to spout off, so what. If it shows them for the fools they really are and if we can monitor their statements in our country, all the better.

As I once responded to a constituent, who wanted to remove the UN from NY. Why, it gives us a chance to keep an eye on these idiots. Rangle and Pelosi had it right. Chavez reminds me of Baghdad Bob.

But some people actually believe Chavez (really...somewhere out there, probably deep in the Socialist Republic of Berkley, there's some idiot thinking Chavez actually DID smell sulfur). No one believed Comical Ali.
