The knock is speed but he excells at making touch catches. Interesting to know that Levy coached at UNM in the late 50s and supposedly (according to his book) that's where he came up with the phrase: "Where else would you rather be?" The guy can play and being in the Mountain West Conference he's a bit off the radar, particularly in the east coast. And you gotta love a receiver named Baskett. Despite incosistent QB play from Josh Betts, Nance produced good numbers and scored a career high 14 TD's, more than the 11 he had with Ben Roethlisberger as a sophomore. The way Nance bounced back from an injury that cut his junior year short showed work ethic and perseverance. As a WR, Nance has great size, good leaping ability, and good hands. He is fast for his size, but lacks ideal quickness. Nance is probably a poor mans Calvin Johnson, as the two are similar players. However, he is still an obvious red-zone threat and with some work on his route-running, could develop into a solid starting WR in the NFL. While some could consider him a borderline first-rounder, he is probably more likely to be taken somewhere in the second-fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
