Middle Blitz

Recommended Posts

Well it's quite simple actually, but buffalo has ignored this since bringing in Bledsoe. Bledsoes biggest problem has never been de's or outside blitzes it's being rushed up the middle. The problem is we have no size or strength on the middle of our line, and while they're average run blockers. They're smallish and get handled pretty easily by big fat dt's making our offense very vunerable to middle blitzes, and while you obviousily can't block everyone, putting size on our line (I know it won't happen this year) will go a long way to protecting whoever our qb is next year and beyond, but to avoid the middle blitz for the short term and to help drew from being a sitting duck. The Bills have to improve on 1st and 2nd down. Do everything possible to stay out of 3rd and long. When you're in 3rd and short. Defenses are less likely to blitz for fear of being run on. You can't really blitz when you have to respect the run and the pass. If Buffalo is unable to execute on 1st and 2nd down it's gonna be a loooooooooong day of the same old bills.

Just wondering what the boy`s are  doing to come up with a plan to stop the Patsies middle blitz on Old Drew ?  I`d also like them to some how get to dink& dunk Brady!! LET`S Go BUFFFFAAAALLLOOOOOO ;)

Like last years season opener...when DB dinked and dunked to a 31-0 win

over the Pats...

The real problem is even though we are committed to the run, it is our

inability to run the football that has hurt us so much....TH/WM have not

had the holes or not burst through the holes (when available) to get the

chains moving.

Jax and Oak have good interior lineman who can stop the run and they

just did that...And with a too conservative game plan and shoddy work

by the WRs and TEs and some bad throws by DB have kept our Passing

game from exploiting the secondary mismatches.

Hope they can run the ball well and everything else should take care of

itself.

ganesh
