Big difference between picking at #8 and at #199 (sixth round), which is where Brady was selected.  We have only to look at our illustrious RT and his "unlimited potential" to see the pitfalls that kind of mistake can have on the team.

you're missing the point on Ngata. the guy does have stats and has proven to be a dominant player at every level so far. point his coaching was making is that it's a given this guy is one of the better NTs, but if he focuses he can be the best ever. you're acting as if it's all or none. and especially considering this guy has to care for his whole family now that sadly his parents are gone, odds are his commitment will be there.
