This is a political game using human pawns. They have every right to call in sick when the gov refuses to pay them. All the more reason to privatize the ATC function of the FAA, so it can no longer be used by stupid, reckless politicians. No matter. This tragedy has nothing to do with the FAA and looks like an uncontained engine explosion which may not have been possible to recover from, though time will tell. Why would you ever risk something like ATC being at the hands of board rooms, profit margins, and the like? Horrible idea
