By the way in that playoff game in 1981 against San Diego, it wasn’t just Ferguson’s ankle, on the play before Fouts throws game winning TD Charles Romes let a sure interception bounce off his chest. That playoff game against SD was my first heartbreaker as a Bills fan. They pretty much sucked throughout most of the 70's so you expected them to lose. If they could have gotten by the Chargers then they would have played the Raiders at home in the AFCCG. They had already beaten Oakland earlier in the year at home 24-7. The only score the Raiders got that day was a pick 6.
