NO TSUNAMI THREAT EXISTS TO COASTLINES IN THE PACIFIC. WARNING... THIS EARTHQUAKE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO GENERATE A WIDELY DESTRUCTIVE TSUNAMI IN THE OCEAN OR SEAS NEAR THE EARTHQUAKE. I still can't forget the horrible story I heard about the first tsunami where a girl (can't remember if she was Indian or not), lost 9 of her family members, and was rescued by a man after clinging for her life to a tree.
