Stokes, who was signed in March 2004 to a five-year, $4.5 million contract that included a $1.2 million signing bonus, missed the final three preseason games with what was termed a pulled muscle in his buttocks. ( Can't confirm whether he actually had surgery, as the press release stated above ) In making the IR roster move, the Giants said Stokes has a back problem. Didn't play in 2004. Today, he was cut.

Started at Left Guard in 2002 for Cleveland, then was their starting LT in 2003.

Age 31 6-4 310.

"Thanks for bringing his name up.

I've never heard of him before, don't know who he's played for, what his stats are, or where he went to college.

But, this is the offseason. He's a FA Offensive Lineman that's still on the market.

TD SIGN THIS GUY OUR OUR SEASON IS RUINED!"

Nanker gave us a classic !

Now you must run to OBD with a pitchfork, chanting his name until TD relents and signs him.

Reading his Bio at NFLplayers.com he sounds like a career backup/spot starter ala Corbin Lacina. In looking at his stats he did far better at LG then LT, as in 2002 he gave up 4.5 sacks in 16 starts compared to 7.5 in 13 starts in 13 games.
