Faith in metaphorical truth, sure. Literal belief in something that is demonstrably not literally true isn't faith, its delusion. It is how they delineate between the patients and the doctors in mental hospitals.

to be perfectly honest i have no idea what you said means.

 

i would say however that i disagree with your initial post. you are taking a single fraud....(and certainly there have been others)....which initially was never presented with the purpose to be a "fraud"...but was a discovery.....and generalized that Christians "need" these relics to substantiate or prove thier faith to be in something true.

 

If there were no relics ever presented....and no excavating discoveries in the "Holy Land" or other locations...it would not change my faith that the Scriptures are true.
