'comeback' player implies an unlikely hero kind of situation, somebody who you thought was down and just about out but rebounds and surprises. mario had a pretty standard injury that usually heals well and doesnt cause future problems somebody like merriman or pinky, otoh, had injuries that can hamper a player for the rest of their career. that achilles surgery is getting better and better so recovery is more likely than it used to be, but it still takes time and can still permanently hamper a player in some cases. compared to those two, brownie has a relatively easy road back to dominance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
