Something that sticks out when looking at the 80 men on the roster

Only 9 players 30 and above and 2 are kickers. This is a young team, so they may lose quite a bit. The plus side is the potentiality. I guess that is what you get when there are no players here drafted by us 8 years ago. I posted this in another thread but thought it was interesting enough to have its own.

**putting this up here because you have to look at the full draft IMO* I do see the point, but well, more information is better. I also think it doesn't really matter what draft slotting someone has so far as if they improve the team (of course it does in other ways. i.e dollars and future drafts)

After looking at it, I think the fact we have no one on the team that we drafted only 8 years ago is a pretty BIG disappointment! and inditment of the FO but the last few years have improved. I think, we will see.

News flash for you Mr. Statistics: I just checked the Saints draft from 2002, and compared it to their current roster. Guess what, not a single guy from that draft "only 8 years ago" is still on their team either.

I wonder, would winning the Super Bowl be considered "SUCCESSFUL" in your expert opinion??

The NFL draft is NOTHING more then one huge crap shoot, for every single team - not just the Buffalo Bills, who have had no success for 10 seasons. You are 100% correct to blame the Bills FO for this painful stretch. But drafting players who remain on the same team for 8 - 10 seasons obviously means next to nothing these days, and signing the right free agents and making smart trades obviously means much more, in my humble opinion.

A lot of these guys are on other teams... Don't make them out to be busts, some are starting and playing at a very high level...

The Bills have been a very young team for a long long time. They have had bad players mostly too small to play in the NFL for a long time. Donahoe was mostly on the right track but got way too full of himself thinking he could outsmart the room with picks like McGahee and Parrish. If instead of McGahee we had landed a top OT and instead of Parrish they had a decent guard the O-line would be in much better shape. There are plenty of PR's in this league and on this team.
